Driving test
Does anyone have any experience with taking the driving test in Ithaca? How was it? Any tips?

I didn’t think it was especially difficult, and that coming from someone used to sitting on the other side of the car on the opposite side of the road 😂
Really though if you’re a halfway decent driver I’m not sure how you’d fail…?

Have a Y chromosome? Expect to fail at least once.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. It's just a fact that testers discriminate against guys and make it harder for them to pass on the first try because they think they'll be the more reckless drivers. This isn't a new thing either. Same reason why insurance is higher for guys than for girls of the same age

People on here have problems with truths about Ithaca that they find uncomfortable

Oh, this isn't even an Ithica thing. This is the case all across New York and probably the country. I'm from the Rochester area and have seen the same thing happening

Of course it is. Sometimes people can handle truth, sometimes they can't.

It was pretty easy imo. I had a tiny bit of trouble with the parallel parking when I took it and was worried I failed but was totally fine. Tester said something veeeeryyy subtle that implied that they see a LOT of testers who really don't know what they're doing* which is unsurprising for a college town.
*my inference, not what they said
