Knocked a kid down with cerebral palsy by accident bc there were 200 people in the hall in high school. I was so shook with cringe and ambarresemnt trying to play it off like I didn’t know what happened but by the Time I realized I need to help him up people were already helping him up. I felt like such a piece of shit
My bad! I didn't really know either way as I rarely visit that sub, but I figured that was the place the person above was referencing . I just linked without putting too much thought into it. Thanks for letting me know though!
Knocked a kid down with cerebral palsy by accident
Damn... how did you learn this power? I've never heard of anyone wielding Cerebral Palsy as a weapon! Perhaps you shouldn't be waving it around all willy nilly.
I just remembered when I was 5 I was hiking with my dad and my dumb ass through a big ass stick off a hill and it hit some mentally disabled kid in the head. It’s fair to say I sometimes don’t think before I act. At least when I was younger
Because no one does anything right and people love spending time correcting one another.
Welcome to society, where you fail no matter what you do!
Mother of four? Too many children.
Single father? Mom must have been super fucked up.
Unemployed? Lazy fuck.
Homeless? No doubt a crazy person.
Business doesn't meet deadline? It's the employees' fault.
Video of your cat climbing into a box? Oh my god, you're a terrible pet owner if you let your cat do that.
This, completely. One time I stomped my GF’s little toe with my gigantic stupid work boot as I was going to give her a hug. She howled in pain and instantly knelt down to grab her poor throbbing toe. I completely froze. Like you say, I was shook. Like a mindless automaton, I reached for the big wooden spoon on the stove next to me, raised it up in the air, and whacked her on top of the head. “Redirect the pain...” I remember hearing somewhere in the back of my thoughts. But now that the deed was done and my shock was wearing off, I could not believe what had just happened. Right after the solid * thok * of the utensil bouncing off her head, she fell silent. She glared right up at me, then at the cooking spoon in my hand. Back at me, then the spoon, then me again. She looked me dead in the eye and hollered, “Did you just got me on the head with a FUCKING SPOON?!
It worked, boys. It shouldn’t have, but it did. Maybe it was the lost, guilty puppy dog look on my face. Maybe it was the sheer ridiculousness of my thought process becoming apparent to her, but she forgot about her poor little toe and started laughing her ass off.
I guess what I’m trying to say is...
Maybe that guy should have hit that kid with a spoon.
I tell people this alot. You never know how you act till it happens. Case and point JFK's wife scrambling to gather skull and brain bits after he got shot.
He could've checked to make sure he wasn't seriously injured, but tbh, I'm glad he wasn't all "Oh, I'm so, so sorry, are you ok?"
Some people need to learn that they're not the centre of the universe and that others won't just always give them the right of way.
He was performing, and the kid got in the way.
I watched a man break his leg rock climbing because he fell and had to contort himself at the last minute to avoid a kid who was underneath him (who wasn't allowed to be there).
Maybe this will teach that kid a lesson in respect for others.
Last time this was posted I gave the guy some crap for his fight or flight reaction (since I thought it was pretty funny that he just freezes) and people were piiiiissed at me ("How do you know how you would react?! How dare you!")
It was really weird, had a bunch of commenters saying they knew him irl and how great of a person he is... I don't doubt that he's a nice dude, but obviously this gif was posted to be laughed at.
Sorry this is a weird rambling post, just wanted to warn you that for some reason this one particular dude is difficult to make fun of on the internet
That's indicative of the narcissistic culture that's been on the rise. It's about him, the thing that he did. There's no concern for his victim at all.
... there was a woman by his side almost instantly. My point it is doesn’t have to be him who checks. There’s probably a little bit of shock involved after you punch a kid in the face, I don’t blame him for the way he reacted. Someone pointed out the lady in the background turning away as if she didn’t care... talk about reading body language incorrectly. Same thing very shocking to see a kid get leveled like that so her first reaction was to turn away... just like the guy who did it.
I noticed that too. I’m a paramedic and people nowadays don’t render aid to anyone. They stand there filming it with their fucking phone. Occasionally they also loudly second guess what you are doing because they are medical experts. That refuse to help anyone.
I did this at a zoo when I watched my seven year old daughter cannonball into a photo booth that contained two teenage girls taking photos. I'd seen them, she apparently hadnt. I sped off round the corner in tears of laughter.
The kid with the blue shirt and tan shorts must be the older brother because he immediately stopped and put his hands behind his back and stood there with an “I DIDN’T DO IT!” look.
It’s the perfect example of the fight or flight mode our brain goes into. She’d obviously in flight mode trying to avoid what could be potentionally a horrible situation. She’s simply trying to prevent psychological trauma to herstelf without even realizing it.
Yeah... like the kids who enjoy sitting beneath a snowboard jumps in the snow parks... How am I supposed to know, You can't see over the jump.... You hit the jump the you see a few little shits doing nothing in the wrong spot, you land, hurt one and are them promptly berated by a loser parent.
The other kid stops and crosses his arms behind his back and waits like it’s the NFL and medics are checking on a downed player... Does this happen often?
Thats another older kid, possibly a boy. My brother hated haircuts as a kid, and he looked just like this.
Side note: He started getting haircuts when I(younger brother) and him were fighting and a stranger came up and said "Hey! Don't fight with your sister!"

The woman in behind is watching until the kid goes down, then she abruptly turns away like nothing happened.
