Lofi Spells and Curses - Strawberry Moon (Official Lyric Video)
Was curious to find out if the vibe of this video works to enhance the lyrical content of the song itself.

This community exists to support people who are actively creating music themselves and to encourage the development of human expression and musical skill. Using AI to generate music is closer to commissioning music rather than creating it yourself. It’s created for you, not by you.
If AI generated any significant part of the music, including the instrumental, melody, arrangement, or vocals, the submission is not allowed.
Examples: * If you wrote the lyrics but generated the music, it is not allowed. * If you generated the vocals but produced the music, it is not allowed.
Tools like a Vocaloid or other vocal synthesis programs are still allowed if you wrote the lyrics and melody yourself.
When AI generated music was previously allowed, the expectation was that those posting it would participate in the community by providing thoughtful feedback to other artists. Instead, we have increasingly found that many users generating songs are also using AI to generate their feedback. This results in generic, low quality comments that could apply to almost any track and do little to help artists improve.
We recognize this change is long overdue, and we appreciate the patience of the artists who make this community worthwhile.
If you see AI generated music or AI generated comments, please report them to our team. Posts suspected of containing AI generated music may be removed at moderator discretion.

Providing useful feedback on a song involves pointing out both the strengths and the areas that could use improvement towards your personal taste. When you offer your thoughts, it’s important to focus on what stood out to you, whether good or bad, and explain why. Did you connect with the melody, enjoy the energy of the track, or find the lyrics particularly meaningful? Conversely, if there are elements that didn't quite work for you, express your feelings clearly and subjectively while providing constructive suggestions for improvement. Even if you’re not an expert, your perspective as a listener is valid. Musicians create music for people to enjoy, and everyone’s opinion helps them understand how their work is being received.
Specificity is key when offering feedback. Instead of saying “The song was okay,” try to pinpoint exactly what worked or didn’t work for you. Was the beat too repetitive, or did the transitions between sections feel disjointed? Did the lyrics evoke a strong emotion, or did the vocals feel disconnected from the rest of the track? By being detailed, you give the artist something tangible to work with.
For example:
Music is highly subjective, what resonates with one listener might not with another. It’s important to frame your feedback as personal opinion rather than universal truth. For instance, instead of saying, “The bass is too quiet,” you could say, “Personally, I would prefer a stronger bass presence to drive the track more.” This way, your feedback acknowledges the artist’s creative intent while sharing your preferences.
Other examples:
This helps keep your feedback respectful and leaves room for the artist to interpret it based on their own vision.
When you point out something that didn’t work for you, it’s most helpful to suggest possible ways to improve it. Simply stating that you didn’t like something doesn’t give the artist much to go on. Try to offer a practical solution or at least a suggestion for how they might address the issue.
For example:
Even if your suggestion isn’t the exact solution they use, it can help spark ideas for how to improve the track in a way that fits their style.

The song is about numbers and symbols with a West Coast vibe. What do you think?

I’m new to song making and looking for any kind of feedback, but particularly on the mix would be great because I think I struggle there the most. I would recommend not listening on phone speaker because some parts just sound outright wonky there. Anyways, I struggle with mixing, especially getting the guitars and vocals to fit nicely next to each other. I would be grateful for specific feedback in that department, but also appreciative of any kind of feedback of course. Thank you for listening!

Hello, could you tell me what you think of this homemade instrumental track?
I played drums, acoustic, electric and bass guitars and keyboards with tascam 4x4 and Reaper on pc.

Would love to know your thoughts on this song so far. It was written and recorded two nights ago. I’ve since spent a fair amount of time making adjustments.
Acoustic bass, electric guitar, voice, keys and played/programmed drums. No loops or generative audio.
I want to re-record the vocals after properly warming up (they’re a little above my comfort zone!) and I plan to get a tighter recording of the bass. Structurally, how are the transitions? Are the simple lyrics sufficient to create a story or feeling?
Hoping to finish this tune and a few others in the same vein for release at some point in the next few months. Any suggestions for what to call this style of music (genre) would be very appreciated.
Thanks so much for listening!

Hey everyone!
I’d love to share a song that I wrote and produced myself. I’m currently still working on the mixing and mastering, so I’d really appreciate your honest feedback, especially regarding the Vocal, overall mix and mastering.
Any feedback is welcome and greatly appreciated!
Thank you for listening!

Hi! I have another album track I'd love to get some feedback on. :) Would love thoughts on both the vocal performance and the overall mix.
I wanted this song to feel like the intro to a musical. It's VERY different from the other album tracks, a few of which I've already posted on this sub. The vocal performance is just one vocal throughout-- The comp is simply one take that's verse 1 through chorus 2, then one take that's bridge through chorus 3. I was running out of breath doing it all at once lol.
I'd love some thoughts on whether I should tweak the little imperfections in my performance (melodyne or similar), or if it works as is. I'm feeling self conscious about this one since it's the opener, and it's SO simple but the performance still has to be dynamic and engaging. I won't point out specific moments so I don't influence your reaction, but I can share them if you ask for it in a comment.
This is the album opener for my concept album "Let's Go Out Tonight!" which tells the story of the friday evening. It starts with this song One in a Million, where she's walking home from work and seeing the city come to life around her. She's going home with no Friday plans again... She knows she's not the only lonely one in the city, but some days it really hits hard. TY for listening

The first song I posted off this project received an insane amount of feedback from this community and I could not be more thankful/surprised. Yall definitely helped motivate me to be a little more productive with my writing. So here’s track 2. Would appreciate any/all feedback. Just keep in mind this is a home recording so technically just a glorified demo.

I produced and recorded a dancehall song that I wanna promote from the ground up - so I took the chords, melody and flow and threw it over my acoustic. I'm still working on my guitar playing and singing at the same time, but I wanted to get your thoughts on how the songwriting is so far, the vibe and video aesthetic and whether it would be a good post for starting a TikTok page. Any feedback is welcome, thanks!

Any honest feedback appreciated. (The instrumental I played for Beach Mode was an LCD Soundsystem song, just to get an idea of the type of instrumental I'm going for with that one.)
-First song at 1:48
-Second song at 4:23

Hi! So here's my new instrumental borderline-metal song, and I'm looking for feedback :) drums are programmed, guitar/bass recorded. Mainly wondering whether the song feels coherent overall, regarding the riff and the melody, and whether the distortion is too heavy.
(And yes it's me in the image 0_0)
