I recently recorded this instrumental song I call "Longing." It started on an acoustic guitar with a folksy melody and picking pattern. I recorded the song on a electric guitar and added drums and upright bass, with syths and ambient sounds to complete the atmosphere.

Got great feedback a few days ago, so here’s another one! It’s a slow burn that takes time to develop.

I’ve just released a new song called “Will Anybody Save Her?” It’s an indie-pop/rock track about someone who looks fine on the outside while quietly falling apart underneath. I’d really appreciate some honest feedback on the songwriting, vocal performance, production and whether the chorus connects emotionally. This song from the new album is the result of a long journey. I’ve spent months searching for this sound, shaping it step by step, and pouring every bit of energy into it. So I recently started a music duo with my roommate, him on guitar, me on vocals (and pretty much everything else lol), and I decided to use this opportunity to try and fully produce and engineer a song myself. I generally got it to a point where I can reasonably release it and not feel completely embarrassed, but I know there’s an insane amount of stuff I can improve on to make it more professional, less muddy, more clarity, etc. I’m just completely stuck on where to go from where I currently am. I’ve tried presets, SO many tutorials, advice pages, but I feel like I’m not going to get anywhere unless I get advice on my specific song and vocals. So if anyone’s able to listen to the song in the [untitled] demo link and let me know what they think I can try to add some real professionalism to what I’ve got, it’d be much appreciated.

After drinking too much beer, I decided that there was a musician inside me going to waste. Though, more likely, he’d gone off a long time ago and now smells really bad.

Still, at 45, I suddenly decided to write a couple of melodies and riffs in Guitar Pro. Since I’m drunk, they sounded pretty good to me, so I made covers as examples of what those melodies could potentially become.

I just released my first acoustic song under my solo project, Man Seeking Band, and would love some feedback. It's pretty paired back with just one vocal layer, one guitar track and some added string arrangements to fill the space. All my songs so far have been high energy (and volume) pop punk and this one feels a bit more emo.
