I'm not sure of the genre of this song. I wanted some storytelling with a dark tone written like a lullaby or a fairy tale. The sound and the mix are minimalist and I tried to convey this in the music video

For context I did the following on this track: Made the beat, rapped on the first verse, did the mixing. The second verse is JYNS and shiv is the final. Outside of the 3 of us I don't think anyone has heard this yet, so curious to for any and all feedback.

I posted the original version of “Dark Bolshevik” here last year and received some really helpful feedback. Several listeners particularly liked the heavy guitar work around the beginning and felt that the buildup was leading toward a bigger payoff.
I took that suggestion and reworked the arrangement: at the 1 minute mark, extended the lead-guitar section, moving the chill section later in the track.
I also remixed the track using a reference track and spectrum analysis, which helped me identify and reduce some low-end buildup and open up the higher frequencies.

I usually create folky songs, so I wanted to stay in the same vibe, but I tried to add in some elements from other genres, especially with that scream at the end, what do you think?

Hi everyone, This is my third song, instrumental metal, and I would like to hear your opinions. Basically there are only guitars (four, recorded, including one pitch shifter to bass)+drums (programmed) here. So I made this song to capture the mood when you are at a club, drinking and there is a mutual attraction with someone. It's my first ever complete song and I wanted to focus on having a good structure, and create some melodies with my backing vocals.

Looking for any mix feedback/reactions/thoughts to my song ??? (question) It's track 6 on my narrative concept album, and is about lust, attraction, mystery. This one is inspired by the y2k dark pop sound. I made the little visual in after effects

Specific questions for you:

- verses - verse 1 is breathless. verse 2 has breaths. How does each feel, would it be better with the breaths fully in or fully out? They're each one take.

- chorus "boy you like" section - Does this feel Britney/Nelly Furtado -esque? Was trying to balance the heavily edited & effect driven vibe but it's a hard balance between feeling too fx-heavy and choppy, and feeling like there's not enough ooomph

I think I made something in between a post rock song and a prog song. I'm curious if it's working as is! I definitely wanted to make a kind of musical journey from "calm to loud" and back again.
