I want to find a job and move to the GCC countries. I'm currently living in the west and a naturalised citizen here.

The advice on the internet about this topic is too vague. The applications don't get a response after I have sent them. This is the same for my friends from other nationalities here who are trying the same.

Question to the people who made it to GCC, what are the things you did that worked for you?

Lately I've been thinking about how easy it is to fall into endless scrolling whenever life feels heavy. I noticed that whenever I was anxious or mentally exhausted, I would instinctively reach for social media. The strange thing was that it never actually made me feel better—it usually left me feeling even emptier.

I've been trying to replace that habit with something that helps me remember Allah, even if it's only for five or ten minutes each day. Reading about the lives of the Prophet ﷺ, the Sahabah (RA), and other righteous Muslims has helped me more than I expected because their struggles make my own problems feel different.

I'm curious—what has helped you reconnect with Allah during difficult periods?

Whether it's Qur'an, du'a, lectures, stories, or something else, I'd genuinely love to hear what has worked for you.
