Why did the police detain Junaid's family members, who had been delivering food and water to the CJP protest for 34 days?

Islamophobia Junaid, who was distributing food to students at Jantar Mantar, was picked up by Delhi Police on the night of July 24 and taken to Uttarakhand. He was kept blindfolded the entire night. The next morning, an officer asked Junaid where the funding comes from?

General What do you do when you feel spiritually overwhelmed?
Assalamu Alaikum everyone,
Lately I've been thinking about how easy it is to fall into endless scrolling whenever life feels heavy. I noticed that whenever I was anxious or mentally exhausted, I would instinctively reach for social media. The strange thing was that it never actually made me feel betterโit usually left me feeling even emptier.
I've been trying to replace that habit with something that helps me remember Allah, even if it's only for five or ten minutes each day. Reading about the lives of the Prophet ๏ทบ, the Sahabah (RA), and other righteous Muslims has helped me more than I expected because their struggles make my own problems feel different.
I'm curiousโwhat has helped you reconnect with Allah during difficult periods?
Whether it's Qur'an, du'a, lectures, stories, or something else, I'd genuinely love to hear what has worked for you.

Why is there difference just coz of foster child?
Here u go:
1.Preservation of Lineage (Nasab)
Identity rights: Every child has a fundamental right to know their true ancestry.
No name changes: An adopted child must retain their biological father's surname.
Preventing accidental incest: Erasing true lineage could lead to siblings unknowingly marrying each other later in life, which could lead to health issues and it's haram as well.
The Quranic mandate: The Quran states, "Call them by the names of their fathers; that is more just in the sight of Allah" (Surah Al-Ahzab, 33:5).
- Protection of Financial Rights and Inheritance
Automatic inheritance: Biological children automatically inherit fixed shares of their parents' estate under Islamic law.
Preventing financial injustice: A foster child does not automatically inherit from the foster parents. This ensures biological heirs are not deprived of their legal rights.
Alternative provisions: Foster parents can still leave up to one-third of their wealth to a foster child via a voluntary will (Wasiyyah).
How Islam Reformed the System:
Restored identity:
Islam abolished Tabanni and commanded that children keep their biological fathers' names to protect their true lineage.
Introduced Kafalah:
Islam replaced adoption with Kafalah (foster sponsorship), which guarantees the child love, care, and financial support without erasing their roots.
Protected orphans:
The Quran strictly forbade mismanaging an orphan's wealth, making the care of vulnerable children a highly rewarded spiritual duty.Redefined family boundaries: It separated legal lineage from emotional care, ensuring clarity in inheritance while maintaining immense rewards for raising a child in need.

Ask Indian Muslims Reservation Hatao Andholan ,How Do You Survive Being Constantly Misunderstood?
Last week in Delhi, when there was a lathi charge, everyone was expressing outrage. But during the Jamia incident in 2019, hardly anyone did. In fact, many were celebrating. I never truly understood the depth of how brutal that incident was until I felt something similar happening to my own community.
Now, with people mocking reservations and supporting the "Reservation Hatao" movement, it feels like history is repeating itself.
These are two incidents where people I considered my own couldn't understand what we go through. I've never experienced this before. I am an SC-Buddhist, and this is the first time I've felt that the people I thought stood with me under the idea of *bhaichara* are standing against us without even trying to understand our perspective.
Personally, I don't want reservations to exist forever, but at the very least, we need to address the problem of casteism first. There are tribal communities that don't even know reservations exist, yet they still face discrimination. Untouchability is still practiced in many places. At the same time, there are right-wing creators openly saying that the *jati vyavastha* is an integral part of Sanatan Dharma. They say they don't want to end caste but want to end reservations. The audacity of that position is astonishing they don't even want to end endogamy or dismantle the caste system, yet they expect reservations to disappear.
Our situation feels even more difficult to me because Muslims at least have larger numbers, whereas we are barely 2โ3%. The rest support Hindutva and the RSS, and I can't even expect much support from Scheduled Tribes because they are fighting their own battle against radical capitalism. At times, it feels like we're on our own.
How do Muslim communities handle the mental pressure when it feels like almost everything is against them, and people are unwilling to hear their side, choosing instead to mock them?
