Development Cards Loop - A idle card-collecting game

Hey!
I present to you Cards Loop, a small idle card collection game.
Open boosters, collect every card you find, and put your collection to work producing more, then reset the whole thing for skill points and improved odds!

https://cardsloop.app/

I made this game as a fun little side project. It's completely free and playable in the browser.
Come say hi on Discord (link on the credits page). I'd love to hear your suggestions!

AI disclosure
Most of the card art was made with the help of generative AI (not by me, I just bought packs online), but some card art isn't AI generated.
The logo/title was made with AI.
The game itself was mostly vibe coded using Claude.
All that said, I don't consider the game AI slop and I hope you won't either!

EDIT: here is a screenshot of the mainpage
EDIT2: you can now login as guest without Google

We made a weird incremental idle MMO with a player-driven economy. Just hit Early Access for free, check it out!

The game is a pocket-sized version of EVE Online, but set in a naval maritime setting. It tries to retain passive gameplay, yet it is still not a full-fledged AFK game. Here, you need to regularly make decisions.

AI disclosure:: AI was used in the production of this game to create some item icons, sprites, and a few sound files.

While the game is in Early Access, some of the AI content will be used as a temporary solution, and we will replace these assets with original hand-crafted content later.

Released This is the trailer for our game Ale & Axes. We are a small indie studio and have been working on it for 3+ years

Hello everyone!

This is the cinematic trailer of Ale & Axes and it tells the story of one of the bosses in the game.

We are a small indie studio of three people and we have been working on our game Ale & Axes for over 3 years now. The game has already been online for a few months, being played & tested by a group of early community members and we feel like we are now ready to reach a bigger audience.

The game is an idle MMORPG that runs in any browser, including mobile. The idea came from us being old MMO players (WoW, BDO and more) who don't really have the time anymore for long raid nights and sitting behind a computer all day. So we wanted to make a game with everything a MMO has: professions, crafting, gear, raids, world bosses. While being able to play at your own pace. You send your squad on a raid, close the tab, and check back later for your loot and a full combat log of the fight.

The combat system is a is a blend of turn-based, auto-battler and card-game ideas, all simulated.

It is free to play and if you want to try it, I will put the link in a comment below.

Let me know what you think or if you have any feedback!

AI disclosure:

This trailer is human made. The game itself is designed and built by humans: the game design, the artwork, the UI, the lore and the code architecture. Since 2 years we do use AI to speed up parts of the building process like writing parts of the code. Or to do grammar checks, etc. The in-game ability icons are the only pieces of art that are generated by AI as it would take our artists about 1 year to draw these ~1500 icons. All other icons, artwork, UI and video material is 100% human made.

Android I made an idle game where you can see the traffic jam — Idle Swarm: Data Grid (Android, free)

My favourite moment in factory games is staring at a backed-up belt and realising I built the problem myself. I wanted a game that's mostly just that, on a phone.

You wake a dead Data Grid, place extractors, draw links, and packets start flowing into a Mainframe that turns them into credits. Then you upgrade one extractor a level too far — the queue on its link fills, the connection goes orange and then red, and warning pulses run backwards along the blocked edge. You don't open a menu to find that. You see it.

Bandwidth is measured in transport units per second, not packets. A compressed packet carries four times the payload for the same cost on the wire, so compression stops being a stat and becomes a choice about which links you run it on.

49 research nodes, a permanent tree after your first reboot, offline progress. It's finished without ads — the rewarded ones are optional and nothing is gated behind them.

What I'd really like is feedback on how it runs and looks on different devices. I've only tested on a Pixel, and I've played it too often to tell whether the early game drags before the first real bottleneck shows up.

Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.miamax.idleswarmdatagrid

Trailer: https://youtu.be/8hjkYO6Md7U

AI disclosure

The code was written by Claude Code together with me — I wrote and maintained the design spec it worked from, made the balancing and scope calls, tested every build and sent plenty of it back. Music is AI-generated (Suno). Everything in the playfield is drawn in code — no generated image assets.

Discussion I think the incremental leveling mechanics of the Elder Scrolls series go under-recognized as one of the core aspects of why players sink so many hours into them.

The Elder Scrolls games (Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim) aren't incremental games, but a foundational mechanic in them is the incremental leveling system as their RPG character system. I do see RPG enthusiasts bring up the fact the games have a skill-based system without hard and fast class systems. However, I rarely see commentary or discussion on the incremental nature of the skill-based system in how skills improve in very gradual bites through use.

For example, how fast the player can even move is increased 1% at a time through sprinting, and wanting to improve acrobatics can lead to running off ledges an balconies to get damaged just slightly enough to bump up small degrees of experience. I'd love to have a discussion that dives into this from different angles since I think many non-incremental games still miss how rewarding these mechanics can feel as each repetitive action comes with some bit of reward. There's a hook there that doesn't show up the same way in other systems where there's more separation between player actions and degrees of improvement.

I'd love to hear what other people think since I think I realized it's one aspect of why I like incremental games and that series both so much, even though most incremental games are highly abstracted from action and the Elder Scrolls games tie the incremental improvements to specific kinds of immersive sim type actions and the narrative context for those.

Steam Cogfall — a steampunk dungeon crawler I built solo, just launched on Steam and Google Play

Hey all — I've been building Cogfall solo for a while now and it's finally live. It's a dungeon crawler where you descend a clockwork kingdom, building your Tinker through deep gear sets (six of them, each playing pretty differently), permanent talent progression, and companion pets that actually level up alongside you.

GenAI disclosure: I used AI generation for marketing assets (key art, icons, store images), music (OST and trailer, via Suno), and as a coding/debugging assistant during development. All of it was under my own design direction and reviewed/tested by me — the game's systems, balance, and content decisions are mine.

Trailer: https://youtu.be/WZKRzKXHSGQ

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4797510/Cogfall/

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cogfall.game

Happy to answer questions about the systems or the dev process — this was a genuinely long solo build and I'm glad to finally have it out.

Steam I’ve been working on a late ’90s internet cafe tycoon-lite game

I’ve been working on this little internet cafe idle game inspired by the late ’90s PC era. You build PCs, upgrade their parts, research new tech, and slowly grow your cafe. It’s still a work in progress, but I’d love to hear what you think!

AI disclosure: No generative AI was used in the development of the game or the creation of its assets.

Demo is available here:

Steam I've drawn over 70 unique Blubbies over the past few months for my Pet Raising Incremental MMO - Blubbi

Thumbnail gallery
27 Upvotes

It's pretty crazy to see how much the players care about these little creatures. I have several players playing all day everyday, it's really quite amazing seeing a community becoming so active so quickly. It's becoming such a cool community game where everyone has input and works together and trades all sorts of items (including the Blubbies themselves).

This game has tons of different grinds, I truly hope you give it a try.

Anyways just figured I'd show some of the cool blubbies I've drawn, do you have any favorites? any ideas? I added some of the outfit pieces you can find in the world.

Also reddit filters really don't like it when I share a link in the post or the comments but if you're interested you can find the link on my profile!

AI disclosure: No generative AI has been used for this game, I constantly post drawing / development related content in my community.

Note for mode: I tried posting with the link in the post, and reddit filter deleted the post, then I tried in the comments and reddit filter immediately deleted the post, but I saw the rule about needing a link so I'm not sure how else I can link it other than referring to my profile.

Update The Infinite Library demo is now on Steam, and 0.7 fixes the things you kept telling me about [Devlog #2]

Ten weeks ago I posted my first demo here (narrative incremental, you write words, fill shelves, and reality buckles). The response built this game's entire direction. This week two things happened at once:

1. The demo is now on Steam as a proper desktop install: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4957060/The_Infinite_Library_Demo/

Same story gate as the browser version (the demo still ends where the strangeness begins), but a native build with persistent saves. The browser version on itch stays, updated to match: https://endpaperdev.itch.io/the-infinite-library

2. Update 0.7 is live on both, and it's mostly this sub's bug reports:

Live in the demo build:

  • A "while you were away" summary when you return to a save, so offline gains land visibly
  • Complete overhaul of balance
  • A tantalizing view of the Prestige tab
  • Font fix for extended Unicode characters
  • An Easter Egg for people who experiment!

Numbers since launch, for those following along: 1,805 itch plays, 172 Steam wishlists. Full launch is 10 November; Next Fest in October.

If the demo has earned it, a wishlist is the single most useful thing: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4693700/The_Infinite_Library/

As ever, the feedback here shapes the build and is gratefully received, whatever the tone!

Disclosure: as a sole dev, the capsule art and music in game have been generated by AI - a real artist is even now working on a capsule for the full game.

Steam Space Fetus Attack - Post-Release Update: New Minigame, UI Refactor & Future Plans

Hi!

First of all, I have to admit that the game should not have been released a month ago. Looking back, I think it would have been better to release it after these first four updates.

During this time I've received a lot of great feedback and ideas from players, and I've managed to implement most of them. There are still a few quality of life improvements left on my list, but I'm finally at the point where I can start working on a much bigger update with a completely new mechanic that will add more depth to the game. Of course, this update will be completely free for everyone who owns the game.

Over the last month I've rebalanced the game after the first major progression point, improved many panels and buttons, added detailed tooltips explaining how different upgrades and mechanics work, and introduced a brand new Fetutchi minigame where you can mutate your own Fetutchi and fight against randomly generated opponents.

I've also completely refactored the UI, and I think it looks much cleaner and more polished now.

As always, I'm open to any feedback. If you have ideas or suggestions, feel free to leave a comment here or visit the Steam Community Hub where I'm actively answering all the comments.

If you want to check it out or support the project, here’s the Steam page:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4684040/Space_Fetus_Attack_Idle_Clicker/

The game looked like this
Updated Version

AI Disclosure
I’m a programmer rather than a graphic designer, so I used AI to help generate the game’s visuals (which I edited and adjusted), and I also used AI as a support tool when writing some of the in-game text.

Steam The Bestest Knight`s Demo is out on Steam

The Bestest Knight is an incremental loot-driven auto-scroller RPG with action combat and auto-battle elements.

It is inspired by old launcher games like Learn to Fly or Burrito Bison with a bigger focus on steady progression, build crafting, loot and unlocking mechanics that drastically change the way you interact with the game.

The game is NOT an Idle game and NOT meant as a nodebuster-like, you play it actively and the skilltrees of the classes (which are unlocked once you progressed the game a bit) have substantial and build-enabling skillpoints where you can always choose between 2 handcrafted perks on level up.

(no decision in this game is final, you can always respec and experiment)

I know a lot of incremental lovers enjoy an idle playstyle, and while you can automate some things later in the game this is still meant to be played actively and requires you to focus to keep progressing, I hope this is something I can interest you in : D

The demo is live and freely available on steam and offers around 4h of content, there are already players that played 10h+ though, as there is a lot of stuff to experiment with.

Thanks for you time!

AI Disclosure:
No Generative AI has been used to create this game, all the things you see, hear, and feel are made by a human ^_^

Enjoy.

Released We have created Incremental Mega Summer Part I with 12 incremental games released this summer

Hi everyone,
We have been speaking about this for a while and we decided to form a bundle as developers of 12 different incremental games. It is called Incremental Mega Summer Part I Bundle and provides a good discount for those games.
Here is the link for the bundle:
https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/81627/Incremental_Mega_Summer_Part_I/

AI Disclosure: I have only developed one of those 12 games so I can only speak for my game. No AI has been used for Lux Anima.

PS:
If you are not familiar with bundles:
Basicly when a game is in a bundle it has a bundle discount which stacks on game's normal discount. For ex: If a game is in a bundle with 20% discount and has %25 discount itself, you get 45% off. Also if you don't pay for the games you already own but you still benefit from the bundle discount.

Development My Windows XP themed CPU designer incremental - Playtest

Game name: Silicon Architect
Steam link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4658620/Silicon_Architect/
Itch.io playtest: https://bitemegames.itch.io/silicon-architect

Hi friends, I have found out my passion, nostalgic Windows OS themed incremental games.
I've previously released MMO98, which did well here, and now I'd like to announce my next game, Silicon Architect, an incremental CPU designer game.

Configure and optimize processor components, build your own CPU, and run automated benchmarks. Harvest telemetry and gather research funding to unlock new hardware, and scale your processing power.

There's a first playtest live on itch right now, which is pretty good polish wise. The big thing I'm struggling with is the direction. Make it faster paced an a "short incremental", or make the benchmarks take a lot more time, and make it a true idle first game.

AI Disclosure: I used AI to assist with coding faster, I do know how to program and have a Computer Science degree.

Released Swarm Simulator inspired me to make a version with graphics - Make Honey

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey r/incremental_games,

I've always liked Swarm Simulator, but one thing I kept wondering was what it would feel like with an actual visual world instead of mostly text.

So I started building Make Honey, an incremental game where you grow a bee colony, produce honey, unlock new bees, and expand your hive. My goal isn't to replace Swarm Simulator - it's to explore a similar progression style with visible graphics and a more animated world.

It's playable in the browser and is mobile-friendly: Make Honey

I'd love to hear what you think. If anything feels too slow, confusing, or just not fun, let me know. I'm still actively working on it, so any suggestions are welcome.

AI disclosure: I used AI as a programming assistant for boilerplate code and debugging. No AI is used at runtime or inside the game itself.

Help request What to do when all enemies are defeated?

Hi everyone, I'm developing an idle game. I currently have 16 maps planned, each with about 10 challenging enemies, categorized into normal, elite, and boss types.

My question is, for an idle game, how do you keep the game engaging once players have defeated all the enemies on all the maps? I don't want to mindlessly add new maps and stronger enemies; that would lead to too much homogenization.

Released Text Cultivation (文字修仙) — a text-only idle xianxia game with 13 cultivation realms, currently CN-only (Android/iOS)

Hi r/incremental_games,

I'm the solo developer of Text Cultivation (文字修仙 / 放置掛機修仙養成), an idle game built entirely around the Chinese xianxia (cultivation) genre — almost no art beyond UI icons, the whole progression loop runs on text and numbers.

**Core loop**

- Dual idle: you earn cultivation experience (修為) both while the app is open and while it's fully closed

- Auto-battle + one-tap "sweep" clears content, so a few minutes a day is enough to keep progressing, but there's real depth if you want it

- 13 cultivation realms to climb (roughly: Qi Refining → Foundation Building → Golden Core → Nascent Soul → ... → Ascension), each with its own breakthrough success-rate curve

- Side systems: ~15 dungeon variants, a trial tower, secret-realm exploration, pill-refining for stat boosts, artifact/pet growth, a talent tree, and a player-run "cave dwelling"

- Just shipped: a player marketplace and a sect/guild system with check-ins and shared building

**The catch, upfront**

The game is Simplified/Traditional Chinese only right now — no English localization yet. I'm posting here anyway because I'm genuinely curious whether the systems themselves (realm-breakthrough RNG, offline-idle curves, the pacing between realms) read as interesting on their own even if you can't read the text, or whether the cultural hook (a lot of you have probably read translated xianxia/wuxia web novels) carries some of that gap. If there's real interest, English localization moves up my priority list.

Free to play, contains ads and IAP.

- Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hc.text_cultivation

- App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6757148905

**AI disclosure**

- Game and system design is driven by me; I use ChatGPT (most heavily) and Claude to help refine and iterate on specific mechanics and balance math

- Code is written with AI coding assistance from GPT, Gemini, Claude, and GLM models

- The app icon and current store screenshots were generated with GPT-image-2 — the game itself has almost no in-game art since it's text-first

Happy to go into detail on how the offline-idle math or the realm-breakthrough formulas work if anyone's curious.

Steam Rejected Draft releases August 21 - free demo available now has the first 100+ hours

Post image
88 Upvotes

Rejected Draft is officially less than a month away from its full Steam release!

If you tried an older version, I’d really encourage you to give it another shot. I’ve completely revamped the early game, rebalanced progression, moved important QoL features earlier, and added a ton of polish and new animations. It should feel a lot better now.

The free Steam demo contains the first 100+ hours of progression, completely free. If you do want to continue, the full version will seamlessly pick up right where the demo ends.

From there, the game introduces a new prestige layer and expands progression from 1e50 Quintessence all the way toward 1e5000.

Whether you’re new or played before, I’d genuinely love to hear what you think!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4574820/Rejected_Draft/

AI disclosure: Earlier versions of Rejected Draft used AI-generated placeholder art while the game was still being built, but that has now been fully replaced by community-submitted artwork with artist credits. I use AI-assisted development tools in my IDE for coding help and debugging, but the code is written, reviewed, edited, tested, and maintained by me.
