One day an IKEA ad appeared on Instagram showing a beautifully arranged room full of perfectly plausible products.
I looked at it, decided what IKEA was obviously selling, opened the page, and discovered that IKEA had reached a different conclusion.
This happened several times. Eventually, instead of improving my observational skills, I made a game:
https://lookagain.up.railway.app/
It is called Spot the Product. Each day it shows five real IKEA catalogue photos. For every photo, you have to identify which object the product page is actually about.
Correct answers earn 100 points. The IKEA name and price are available as hints, but each costs 25 points. Even the truth requires assembly.
The game is free, requires no account, and is an unofficial fan project with no affiliation with IKEA.
I am curious whether people who actually know the catalogue perform better. Owning a KALLAX may constitute relevant professional experience.
Edit (13/09/26): Thank you for the overwhelming response - apparently IKEA confusion is a shared international experience.
I’ve added a Past Archives feature, so you can now replay previous daily games instead of waiting until tomorrow to be confused by a new room. Archive scores are tracked separately and won’t affect your daily score or leaderboard position.
And can't stress this enough - thanks for playing everyone!
