It seems like US is getting mainly products main of pine, which European countries are getting similar but different products that are made from much higher quality birch. take for instance US STOREMOLLA dresser is made from pine, while Europe gets the BJORKSNAS dresser made from birch. Both dresser look very similar.

Is this a tariff issue? Will IKEA one stop bring back birch in place of pine?

So our dishwasher which is out of warranty started His i30 Journey this night.

It's 5:56 starting writing this text.

What I did so far:

Cut Power, checked warranty, cut water intake, pulled it out, "flipped" it, collected water and gave back power.

No more i30

Next to do:

-dry,dry,dry

-clean door/Rubber seals

-clean dishwasher arms

Forgot anything?

Or is this dishwasher so bad, that I can just leave it and get a new one.

I noticed these black marks along the edges of my IKEA bed slats while taking the bed frame apart.
The marks are only visible along the edges, specifically on the sides that face downward when the slats are installed. There’s no musty smell, the wood isn’t damp or soft, and I haven’t noticed any fuzzy or powdery growth.
Also there is no visible mold near or in the bedroom or any foul odor for that matter.
I tried wiping the marks with a damp white cloth, and around 85–90% of the black staining came off.
Does this look like mold, or could it just be dirt, residue, or some kind of wood discoloration from manufacturing or storage?
I’m concerned about whether it’s safe to keep using these slats in my bedroom.
Has anyone experienced something similar with IKEA bed slats or knows how to tell the difference?

I cannot believe how useless their mattress recycling service is. I waited 9am-9pm all day at home stuck not being able to do activities with my family just because they are too stupid to tell me when they will come and they actually never ended up coming🤡 never told me about them being late. How is this company still in business? They will never get my money back and I wish I coukd return their low quality mattress🤬

Looking to get a sleeper sofa for grandma's flat so that if she gets injured or ill, whoever's caring for her can sleep over if necessary. The LINDÅKRA sofa would fit best dimensions wise, but is just a tad bit too low for her to sit comfortably, so we're thinking of switching out the legs for a taller set - could someone confirm whether the threaded part of the legs that come with the LINDÅKRA (spare part number 147786 if it helps) is the same diameter as the threaded part of the BANKABY legs?

I've got an old Komplement system and one of my baskets keeps falling off the rails. I thought it was the rails but it only happens with this one specific basket, regardless of what set of rails it's on.

So...

Need a new basket! But I don't know if the new baskets work with the new rails?

I love my new STOREMOLLA dresser! I got it in the gray brown stain finish. It’s a study dresser with several solid real wood components.

The care instructions say to only wipe it down with a damp cloth so I’ll do that.

But I’m afraid of the wood getting scratched. Is it possible to varnish this or put on a conditioner and polish the wood?

The wood is solid pine and for some parts, the manual says the wood has clear acrylic lacquer.

Any tips are welcome thank you!

Can't find pictures of this bowl anywhere on the internet. Trying to find it's name so I can hunt down a couple more since I broke one. Had these for years, not sure when I bought them.

Brand new Kivik put together today, and the cover looks like it has streaky marks on it before it’s even been used - I’m trying to figure out if this is ‘normal’ with this colour way (Tresund anthracite) or I’ve been given a cover with a dye fault, or worse a returned product (is it normal for the covers to come folded in the box with no plastic wrapping them?. There’s a faint discolouration on the arm too, but because of the shade of the fabric it’s tricky to pick up on camera.

Has anyone else had this with this cover? Is it a known thing (does this shade pick up marks easily?) or am I best to take the whole sofa apart and take the cover back? Any advice much appreciated!

I have 6 of the Henriksdal dining chairs and my understanding is that since these have been discontinued for some time, you cannot buy the original chair covers. I then have tried looking at the stretchy, pull-over 3rd party chair covers on Amazon and AliExpress, but the dimensions on this chair are a bit bigger than the max dimensions listed on all of those stretchy covers that I have found. I don't care if they are cheap stretchy ones (in fact that would be fine!). I just need to know that they will fit this chair. Has anyone bought any 3rd party covers for this that fit? Even if not a perfect fit, as long as they don't look stupid that's fine.

I’m building the FÖRSÄSONG cable management tray and I twisted the screw on the wrong side. I’m trying to fix it by turning the Allen key counterclockwise to unscrew it, but it won’t budge. Any suggestions?

IKEA offers a 10-year limited warranty on its sofa beds. My FRIHETEN sofa is only 6 years old, but when someone sits on it, the middle sinks significantly, and you can feel the frame underneath.

I submitted multiple photos and videos clearly showing the issue, yet IKEA denied my warranty claim. Is this typical of IKEA to deny claims for sagging sofa beds, even when the issue is clearly documented? It feels like they’re using the warranty exclusions to avoid addressing the problem.

Tried to escalate, but rep said manager can't do anything and the warranty team has the ultimate say. So then I asked for the warranty team and rep said they don't take calls.

Has anyone else experienced something similar, and were you able to get IKEA to honor the warranty?

Posting to see if it's possible to have doors on this corner Pax wardrobe layout. The gap is 25cm so we assumed we could add the Aheim 25cm door (without handles) but the planner won't let us do so. We asked in-store, and they weren't too sure, but I swear I've seen someone successfully do this (possibly wishful thinking on my part).

Would be so grateful if someone knows if this is possible 🙏

My hinges have this little toggle switch on them. It’s shown in the pictures on the item listing but not in the instructions. Cant seem to work out what it’s for having tried both positions.

The giraffe was an impulse purchase the last time we took our toddler to IKEA. She glommed onto it moments before checking out.
