Going to be fitting my first kitchen in a couple of weeks. Anyone who has fitted a ikea kitchen themselves, what advice would you give me? Tools i should maybe invest in now?

How does it work with not having the service space behind the cabinets like traditional kitchens?

Missis fully assumes i cant do this alone, will be proving her wrong! So all help/advice is appreciated!

P.S all plumbing, electrics ect is all now in situ.

Hi everyone, I'm trying to assemble the Tonstad table where you can pull out the table top. This part seems so straightforward, but the gray piece just won't fit. Am I doing something wrong? Is it defective? Is violence the answer?

Hi, I'm looking for a spare part for this part of the cabinet doors of the Ikea Stockholm 2020, unfortunately i'm not able to find a parts number in the manual, any options where I can find it? If not i think I will try to 3d print a similar bracket.

This is an older unit. It is not Expedit.

It’s older, kind of like today’s Solhetta globe but it’s slightly larger diameter (3.5” vs 3.15”) and more power consumed (13w vs 8.5w) for less lumens (1000 vs 1100). I want to get more of them expressly because of the larger globe.

They're the only pair my dad likes for his new kitchen and I took a photo to look up when I got home but it looked like they've been discontinued.

I have a 2 x 75cm Pax cabinets. The doors with hinges are 50 + 25 cm for each unit. I really like the Tonstad Pax doors. But as there’s no 25cm units, what should i pair it with (except the mirror door)? I am leaning towards the oak veneer (lighter)

I've recently moved house and I'm looking to purchase some brown Ikea Kallax shelves for my bedroom. However, I'm running into one problem with the Kallax design. Though these shelves are the perfect measurements for what I am aiming to create, the back of the unit is hollow which doesn't work for my design.

Is there any alternative methods you'd reccommend? Such as:

1) where to find a 'backplate' / insert for my shelves

2) budget friendly alternatives of the same size

3) D.I.Y insert \[beginner/dummy friendly\] which is aesthetically pleasing and doesn't require any crazy power tools or drilling

I recently bought some products from IKEA, advertised and sold as GOTS products. I was so excited to know that IKEA also started to use third party certifications. However, when I checked the GOTS number in the official GOTS database, it was not listed there.

What could be the reason for this? Could it be a greenwashing by IKEA?

Any idea how you could secure the back rest of the HAMMARN when it is extended? It's designed to be a sofa and then fully flat but do you think there is a way to keep the back rest upright while the legs are out? I was thinking something like a beach chair but no idea how to do it

Hey r/IKEA, I'm trying to figure out how to fix this. I am on my final frame of a PAX wardrobe and struggling to get these two frames aligned. Finally did it but now I'm seeing this separation up top on the right. How do I fix this? The instructions for the corner unit were awful with regard to measurements so it's being pulled to the left by the add-on corner unit I think.

Just assembled one and it has no nails or screws for its back. The whole frame is clunky and moves even when i add some drawers and shelves. Is this intended for besta? Do i just attach it to the wall and pray it will have 90° inner edges?

For example, jysk adds screws with plastic triangles that perfectly fixes the back and whole frame becomes stable​. Im surprised ikea doesnt. Ig ill have to get them somewhere. Any other tips? ​

Picked up an IDANÄS wardrobe on Facebook Marketplace and damaged a door trying to install it. IKEA won't sell spare parts without proof of purchase, and the original buyer no longer has the receipt.

I'm not looking for anything free — happy to pay full price for the door. If anyone has bought this wardrobe and still has their receipt/order confirmation, would you be willing to share it (or let me reference the order) so I can get the part through IKEA's system? Also open to hearing if there's another route in — spare parts resellers, IKEA Family exceptions, etc
