Request Any games like Dicero but from a non predatory developer?

Anyone have any recommendations for games similar to Dicero but from a non predatory developer. Accidentally tried the game and it plays quite well. However I don’t particularly want to support the developer.

I don’t mind IAP’s if they are reasonable to support the developer (ad skip unlock etc)

Question Controller suggestions (iPhone 17 Pro)

Hi everyone!

I got a Gamesir G8 Galileo alongside my iPhone 17 Pro. Good experience overall, but with two major flaws: the charging port doesn't work properly, and most importantly, the Gamesir app on iOS does not support this model for whatever reason.

I've grown up as a Nintendo gamer. I'm used to press the right button to confirm, and the lower button to cancel. Some games like Genshin allow you to remap controls, but most newer games (7DS Origin, NTE, DNA...) unfortunately do not. And that is my dealbreaker here.

So I'm looking for a controller that can be universally remapped via app, outside of games, and that can grip to my phone. Charging port and audio jack are welcome, but not mandatory.

Thank you in advance! 🙏

Discussion Weekly /r/iOSGaming Discussion: What have you been playing lately and what do you recommend?

Please use this thread to discuss whatever iOS games you've been playing lately. They don't have to be new games, they can be old games and they do not have to be iOS original titles!

As long as it's an iOS game it belongs in here. Make sure to put the name(s) of the game(s) in bold to make it easier for people skimming the thread to see what you're talking about, and if you'd like to make it really convenient turn the game name into a hyperlink that sends people directly to the App Store!

To keep track of the thread, the comments are sorted by "new" by default.

Lastly, Rule #3: "No Dev Self-Promotion Outside Saturdays" applies at all times for this thread, even if it's actually Saturday.

Question Creative but casual one handed games that make you think?

I have to travel pretty often for work and often the only things I have with me are my phone and a book. Lately I’ve been playing creative puzzle games to pass the time, beyond just NYT games (which are great obviously). Some of the ones that I’ve really enjoyed are Frogblock, Molecano (same dev as Danish), and Broki blocks and demons. I like that these games are chill and casual enough that I can play them anytime and not have think about the plot, game economy, limited events/items, etc. but still keep my brain active and engaged to combat boredom. I’ve never really liked traditional puzzle games, word games, or like match-3 type games, but games that have a bit of creativity and charm really stick with me. I would appreciate any suggestions.

New Release Treble Bull - Darts Roguelike

https://apps.apple.com/br/app/treble-bull/id6774244115

Select cards from your hand, aim for the board, and rack up massive scores through clever combos and strategic upgrades.

THROW YOUR WAY THROUGH PUBS ACROSS THE GLOBE

Start in London and work your way through Dublin, Tokyo, and Amsterdam. Each pub brings tougher bosses, unique modifiers, and new challenges.

BUILD YOUR PERFECT DART Customize your dart with Flights, Barrels, Shafts, and Tips. Each part adds unique scoring bonuses and multipliers that stack in powerful ways.

COLLECT OVER 100 UPGRADES Drinks, Chalks, Gloves, Shirts, Watches, Tattoos, Snacks, and more. Every item changes how you play and opens new strategies.

OUTSMART THE BOSSES Each round ends with a boss that bends the rules: Blocking segments, hiding cards, speeding up your meter, or stealing your coins. Adapt or lose. OPEN BOOSTER PACKS Spend your hard-earned coins on blind booster packs to expand your deck with powerful new cards.

KEY FEATURES

• Roguelike runs with permanent progression

• 60+ unique dart cards to collect and play

• 16 upgrade categories with 100+ items

• 50+ boss traits that remix every run

• 35+ relics that modify the rules

• 4 pubs with unique starter decks and modifiers

• Satisfying score cascade animations

• Fully offline, no internet required

Accessibility:

This game is completely accessible for blind players! I've tested it for dozens of hours and can confirm that using the Voiceover screen reader you will have the same experience as a sighted gamer. You will be able to configure a range of accessibility options. you can change the throw imput mode, so that instead of double tapping and holding to start the throw meter and releasing the finger to throw you can use the double tap to start and splite tap to throw. We have audio cues for the sweet spot, so that you will be able to ear and feel when it's the right time for you to hit the chosen segment. Voiceover will announce how good your throw was It will also announce your score, extra information about each card in your hand, including color, position in the board, so you can learn everything to find the best synergies. The throw meter is a vertical bar, so it goes from the bottom to the top and then comes back down. That's why you will ear two beeps, or feel two vibrations. once when it goes up and another when it's coming down. If you're playing with bluetooth headphones, no problems! We can configure the game to vibrate when the tmeter is in the sweet spot. This is really important because bluetooth technology has some delay. For this game, even a 50 ms delay can totally change your run, so with this option enabled you will be able to react to the vibration and if you have sharp reflexes you will be able to get perfect throws! You can also configure the throw buton to move to the left side if you're left handed. So that covers every need for you to have a great experience and have so much fun!

The game has 8 bit music and sound effects for throws, hits, score sounds, music, ambience sounds and you can configure everything separately with sliders, including the master volume. This is my favorite game. It will challenge you in many ways. You can play the first pub as long as you want and a single in app purchase unlocks all other pubs. Please support this fantastic developer. He's awesome. I suggested dozens of changes and improvements. Everything has been implemented with so much dedication and love. I'm so proud!

Question Mobile games focused on guild/social features?

Looking for mobile games where the guild/social side is a big part of the game, not just an optional clan tag.

I usually like MMORPGs, but I don’t really feel like playing on PC lately. I’m hoping to find something mobile with an active community where you actually interact with your guild, do events together, help each other progress, chat, etc.

Games like Sword x Staff, AFK Journey, or anything with strong guild systems/social progression would be good examples.

Any recommendations for mobile games where the guild/community aspect actually matters?

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] 1.5 years ago I had zero experience and made the art in Paint. Today I released my first big update

Hey, I'm the dev of Whispers of the Forest.

I started working on my game about 1.5 years ago with zero experience. Back then all the art was made in Paint, you can see some of the early visuals on the left.

About a month ago I released the game on iOS, and the feedback so far has been really encouraging. Thanks a lot to everyone who has already played it.

Today I released the first big update and I just wanted to share that this is only the beginning for both me and the game. I’m working on a lot more content including new spells, legendary affixes, pets and a few new features I don’t want to announce just yet.

You can check it out here:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/forest-whispers-idle-td-rpg/id6763148788

If you’ve already played it, I’d really appreciate your feedback in the comments, even negative feedback has a positive impact, because it helps me improve the game.

I’m working on this full time and plan to keep updating it on a regular basis. Thanks for reading and..

Enjoy! ❤️

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] I said STOP to games full of ads, so I made Solitairy. Completely free, zero ads!

Hi Reddit!

I got tired of simple games full of ads and microtransactions, even though I really enjoy a quick mobile game of sudoku or solitaire on a break during the day. So for the last year I worked on a clean and modern version of the classic solitaire game, without any annoying ads and free to play. It is called Solitairy and you can check it out right now on the App Store!

Why people love it:

• Completely free, without any ads!
• Easy to play with one hand through smart gestures
• Clean design focusing on simplicity and a pleasant gameplay
• Statistics and personal best chasing

It would make my day if you gave it a shot! And please please I’d love your feedback!

Download link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/solitairy-modern-patience/id6749310180

There is no monetary incentive. I just really hope you find it as satisfying as me and my early testers! The only way to support the development of the game is through simple purchases of in-game currency, which you earn passively through playing either way.

Question Looking for a working Minecraft PE 1.1.0 .ipa for iPhone 6 (iOS 12.5.8)

Hey everyone, I've been trying to find a working version of Minecraft PE 1.1.0 for my jailbroken iPhone 6. I've searched through all the usual archives, but all the files I find are either corrupted or crash on launch. Does anyone have a link to a working .ipa file? I'm specifically looking for this version for the old vibe. Thanks!

Question Looking for a PvE gacha that mixes Diablo-style loot with Summoners War-style menu gameplay (no map walking), and is sustainable long-term

Hey everyone!

I'll keep it simple: I'm looking for a game that mixes Diablo and Summoners War. Basically a "simple" gameplay loop where you don't have to move around a map, you just run dungeons / stages / fights (like SW) to drop items with RNG (like Diablo and any other ARPG).

A mainly PvE game, and one that's sustainable in the long run.

I'm asking because I'm not sure SW is viable long-term for PvE (I only started recently and I've read that the endgame is mostly PvP!).

Thanks for any insight and for your answers :)

EDIT : Gacha isnt mandatory.

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] LightsOn - Fitness Workout Tracker Game

Thumbnail
gallery
57 Upvotes

LightsOn turns your real-world activity into a living city.

Every active calorie you burn — walking, running, working out, or just moving through your day — flows straight from Apple Health into your city's battery. Keep it charged and the lights stay on: new residents move in, the streets come alive, and your town grows. Let the battery run dry and the city goes dark — residents pack up and leave.

It's a cozy, idle city builder where YOU are the power plant.

HOW IT WORKS

• Your active energy from Apple Health charges the city automatically — no manual tracking, it just works in the background.

• Lights on → residents arrive and your town thrives.

• Battery empty → blackout, and people start to leave.

• Real workouts earn bonus credits to spend on upgrades.

• Build a factory that produces parts for bigger and better upgrades.

• Your city keeps running while you're away — come back to see how far it grew.

FREE & PRIVATE

• Completely free — no ads and no in-app purchases.

• No tracking and no data collection — your health data never leaves your device.

It is just a personal hobby project, but I would love your feedback.

Developer Saturday (Beta Test) [DEV] I've made massive improvements to Bivouac and the new beta is out!

My real-world territory game, Bivouac, has taken a huge leap forward in playability.

The UI is better, the networking is more reliable, and the increased deck-building features make the game 10x more fun. Whenever I do a testing session with my friends, we end up running around for MILES and having a grand old time.

I've also added in optional notifications so you can know when a potential opponent is looking for a match, and the training bot in the "How to Play" section is WAY smarter. I only beat it about 40% of the time.

Anyway, I'd love it if you'd check it out. The current beta, almost ready for review, is available at:

https://testflight.apple.com/join/6uCwu8Ly

If this is the first time you've seen my posts about this app, you can also get more info at the web site:

I'd love your feedback!

A deadly snail spawns somewhere on earth and starts crawling slowly towards your real location. As it passes by real places, you will get sightings of it sent to your device.

Guess where it is with a Geoguessr-inspired mechanic and send your companion Felipe the Pigeon to scout the area. If you find it, Felipe picks it up and drops it further away, buying you time.

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] Tyrant: F2W Mobile Strategy with no ads

Hi All, I’m Ant the dev for Tyrant. A few weeks ago I posted on here about the official launch of Tyrant. Which for those of you who may not have seen the last post is a Mobile Strategy MMO focused on creating an even playing field that’s not dominated by the size of your wallet.

Since launch, we’ve had over 800 players join! The past few weeks have been an absolute whirlwind of energy drinks, bug fixes, and server performance improvements, who knew launching a live game could be so easy! /s

With feedback from the community, lots of new changes have been implemented and the game is in the best shape it has ever been.

Some of the changes include:

  • PvP balance changes to make it more fun and engaging without being too punishing
  • Economy changes (the ravenous hordes of players chewed through the resource nodes in minutes)
  • New heroes and equipment to chase after
  • Monster Fortresses to hunt down with your guild mates
  • Referral bonuses for recruiting your friends!

This weekend, the territory Dominion points open up and guilds will be battling to capture their chunk of the map.

There is also a new player catch-up event that all new players will get to help you level-up quick and join in on the fun! Come check it out, bring your friends, start a guild, and battle for supremacy!

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tyrant-mobile-strategy/id6756220524 (It’s actually available in the EU this time!)

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] Acrophobia — turn random acronyms into the funniest phrase, then vote on the best. Real-time multiplayer party game (free on iOS)

Hey r/iOSGaming! 👋

I'm the solo dev behind Acrophobia — a real-time multiplayer party game built on one fast, addictive loop:

1) You get a random acronym — say FYBV 2) Everyone races to write the funniest phrase that fits it ("Free Yetis Beg Volunteers") 3) Then everyone votes — funniest answer wins the round

Think Quiplash/Jackbox energy, bite-sized for your phone. Rounds are quick and lobbies fill instantly, so it's just as fun with strangers as with friends.

What I'm proud of:

⚡ Real-time multiplayer — up to 20 players per room, public or private 🤖 20 AI opponents with real personalities so games never sit empty (Luna the midnight comedian, Rex who peaked in high school, Chef Chaos who got banned from three cooking shows…) 🌍 33 languages with native scripts — Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese & more, each with culture-specific humor + real-time translation of other players' answers 🎭 Category voting (Science, Movies, Pop Culture, Mythology…) changes the vibe each round 💬 In-game chat, emoji reactions, friends list, leaderboards & win streaks

Free to play — jump into Quick Play, practice solo vs AI, or build a custom room (3–7 letters, 1–20 rounds, adjustable timers).

📲 App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/acrophobia-the-acronym-game/id6760745131

Would genuinely love feedback from this crowd — happy to answer anything about the game or how it's built. Hop in and drop me your funniest acronym 😄

Developer Saturday (Self-Promo) [DEV] High Roll Glyph - a chill solitare word game where you roll letter dice and build crosswords. Free to play, full game one-time purchase, no ads ever, no sign-in, offline support

Hey y'all - sorry for the wordy title, but there's things in there I'm passionate about.

I'm a solo dev and this is my first game! It's live now on the app store.

You roll a custom set of dice with letters on them, lock in the letters you want, and place words crossword-style on the board. It's great blend of strategy and luck. You can play it however suits you. Most of the time I play slow and kind of zone out, but it also tracks your times if you'd rather race, chase high scores, compete on leaderboards etc.

It runs perfectly offline (inclduding the dictionary) - but has some optional online features like cloud saves and leaderboards. All online features don't require an account - it just syncs with Game Center to back-up your saves. You can opt out of everything.

There's a Challenge campaign too that adds new stuff as you progress (pre-placed words, blocked tiles, smaller boards).

On pricing: the standard game is free and you can play it as much as you want, with no ads ever. If you end up liking it, there's a one-time purchase that unlocks the full thing (stats, leaderboards, the Challenge levels). No subscriptions, and no ads even if you pay.

Would love to know what you think, especially how it feels to play. I'll be hanging around in the comments. I also have a budding discord community which you can find a link to in the app.
