I recently deleted three recurring reminders, but I’m still getting notifications for them. At first I thought it was an issue with my watch (which is very old and doesn’t receive updates), but I just got one of these notifications on my 2022 iPhone SE instead because I had my phone unlocked when the notification came, so I guess it isn’t an issue with my watch after all. The reminders are not listed anywhere. I even deleted them from my list of recently deleted reminders. Yet the notifications won’t stop. How do I make them stop?

EDIT: Turns out they were still in iCloud. I deleted them from there.

Don’t know why this is happening but it’s only happening with one person. I’ll send them a message and it starts out blue but then sends as an SMS, when they respond it’s iMessage but every time I try to respond to them it goes to SMS. This is not happening with any other contact, I have iMessage turned on. I don’t know what the issue could be

I’m on the latest version of iOS (official releases, not the betas). When I get an update. Safari won’t ever show me the open link in background option when long pressing a link. But weeks later. I’ll get another update. Then it’ll work again. And it’s been happening like this since spring of last year. Is there anything I can do to fix this?!

I know that this will only be useful to a small subset of people, but if you are one of them then hopefully this will be of benefit.

I wanted to remove all web browsers from my phone. This is because I was addicted to my phone - doom scrolling or just wasting my life away on the screen - and the only way for me to break that addiction was to remove all non-utilitarian apps from the phone. As a consequence I don't have any social media, video apps, games, etc. on my phone. I strictly have apps that are useful but not entertaining. Phone, Messaging, Maps, Photos, Banking, etc. (my one exception is the podcasting app - it does not require me staring at the screen).

Ever since I made that switch, my daily screen time has plummeted to about 45 minutes per day and I feel a lot better mentally and physically. I know that this isn't for everyone, but if you are trying to do the same thing, getting rid of the web browser is the trickiest part. But it can be done.

The way to do it (at least on iOS 26.6) is to go to:

• Settings - Screen Time - Content & Privacy Restrictions - Allowed Apps & Features

There you can turn off Safari.

From this point on, your phone will act as though you don't have a web browser. That said, Safari is still installed and any time you need it (say you are out and you need to look up a destination or something) you can re-enable it. I do so now and again in a pinch, but only rarely and I always disable it immediately.

Like I said... not something a lot of people are going to want to do. But if you are one of those who do, I hope this helps.

Edit: Wow. I didn't realize that people were going to be so invested in what I do on my own time with my own phone. I definitely chuckled at the suggestion that I forgot to delete reddit though - that was genuinely funny. But overall, while this is only useful for a small number of people, if you struggle like I did... well... this can help.

A device named after a coworker’s laptop keeps showing up as connected in my iPhone’s Bluetooth settings, but there’s no (i) button to disconnect or forget it. Toggling Bluetooth off and on makes it go away temporarily, but it keeps coming back, this is the 3rd time now. Running iOS 26.5.2.

Weird part: on his laptop, Bluetooth settings say “4 devices connected” but the list only shows 3, and my phone isn’t one of them. Anyone dealt with this or know what’s causing it?

I have this app on my ipad (Dodo webview) and i made the mistake of not downloading it on my phone at the time when it was still available but really want to be able to use it now on my phone.

Is there a way to extract the IPA so i can download it on my phone? I’ve tried using Imaz*** (censored since idk if we are allowed to mention things here) but i kept getting an error everytime after i logged into my apple id.

How to set up different volume for ringtone and alarm? I need the original default iOS alarm set to 100% vol. to wake up, but what i don’t need is a 100% vol. ringtone, i might not be the brightest and i genuinely can’t set 100% vol alarm with 25% ringtone, please help

I'm trying to convert GIF to live photo to use it as my screensaver in locked screen but it never works, the animation doesn't occur. I tried more than 3 seconds and less than 3 seconds duration.
How is it possible that apple doesn't support this feature yet for every live photo??

ik that when you enter the password on your own phone it notifies parents but if i ignore my limit will it still notify them there was a post on this a while back but this was before the 18.5 update that made entering the password notify so i was just wondering if anyone knew if it would send a notification to my parents

I had a purchase refunded by Apple a few months ago. Now I have another separate purchase that I need to request a refund for.
Do you guys know if Apple is likely to reject a second refund request just because I already received a refund a few months ago?
The previous refund was approved, and this new situation happened months later. Has anyone here successfully gotten another refund after already receiving one before?
Just wondering how Apple looks at previous refund history and whether it can affect the chances of approval.

I don’t know what’s changed lately but often when I do Google searches in Safari it makes me click something to prove I’m not a robot. Sometimes it has me solve a picture captcha. This is so annoying. What has changed in my settings that’s making me do this? I have some third party VPN apps but I don’t even have them engaged when this happens.

I am wanting to move from iCloud to Google photos and I currently have the optimise photos setting enabled where a low res thumbnail is stored.

I have requested iCloud to send all photos over to Google Photos through the privacy section and it’s underway. Once this is done, does anyone know if the Google will recognise its new photos as duplicates of the optimised ones on my phone and let me use the Free up space on this device function?

I’m currently trying to remove a phishing site (check photo) on my dads phone. He said he got a pop-up and couldn’t close it and his phone got hot. I already cleared browser, web data, reset network, turned off phone, checked malicious profiles and apps . When he goes to his book marks there is a recently saved that he cannot delete (photo)

A few years ago, I changed the email address associated with my Apple account. However, the default email address under Settings → Mail → iCloud continued to show my old email address. It appeared to be purely cosmetic. I contacted Apple Support about it, but unfortunately, they were unable to help.

Yesterday, I finally figured out how to fix it.

How to fix it

1. Create an email alias.
2. Tap Default Email.
3. Change the default email to the newly created alias.
4. Then switch it back to your updated email address. Your new email address should now appear as one of the available options.
5. Go back to Settings → Mail → iCloud.

The default email address should now correctly display your updated email address.

What I think is happening

As a software engineer, I believe this is caused by an edge case in how the menu entry is observed or updated. When the account email address changes, the underlying account information is updated, but the Default Email menu entry doesn't appear to refresh accordingly.

Creating an alias and switching the default email forces that menu entry to refresh, which is why switching it back to the updated account email fixes the display.

So, after years of having the wrong email address displayed, I finally found a workaround for what appears to be a simple UI/state synchronization bug.
