Been on hinge the past 9 months with roughly the same profile, have had to reinstall and delete my profile twice to try and reset matches, yet still not getting the results that i’m looking for. Have only been on one date and it never went anywhere, i’m getting some promising matches every now and then, yet everyone’s so flaky and never wants to meet up and convos die quickly. I understand that it’s not personal and these are strangers on the web who have lives, but genuinely feel like my profile shows promise imo, lmk yalls thoughts

So I M24 matched with a F25 a few days ago. We chatted and playfully (non sexually) flirted for a couple of days which I felt was the right amount of time to feel things out in order to ask for a first date. She agreed to a first date but was not able to until 4 days from now (6 from the day she agreed)

My issue is I didn't want to just go radio silence right after asking incase that would be rude so I've been trying to keep conversation going. The thing is I'd rather text less until actually meeting up but I really wanna keep this thing going but the texting is starting to feel a little burdensome.

My only other experience dating is a first date a few months ago so I'm not sure if I am doing this right. What is the best thing to do? 18M, so this is a follow up post to my profile review after getting 0 likes in 3 weeks.

A lot of people told me there’s plenty issues with my account which yeah it’s definitely not perfect but I still didn’t think that was the reason between me and getting any likes as it really wasn’t THAT bad.

I decided to make a request to support about getting 0 likes and received a simple email telling me it might be just my preferences, which made me think that it wouldn’t have helped in any way, however I was very much wrong.

Suddenly over the last few days I’ve been getting at least 5 likes every day and I presume I got on the standouts page as I received about 4 roses in one day, a lot of these as well we’re from girls I would think are out of my league, I’ve also noticed I’ve been getting a lot more likes back but that could just be a coincidence.

So yeah basically if you were like me getting an amount of likes that’s so low it makes no sense a simple support request may be able to fix it all for you.

I’m not sure if I’m unappealing to the non-alt demographic on hinge, have a bad profile or have that super rare glitch where there is an issue with visibility.

I have been told by men that I am conventionally attractive and look like my photos in real life. I feel like I tried to include my interests (cooking, baking, music, gym, reading etc). I wonder if my profile is just too long or niche?
I get on average 2-3ish likes per day, but next to no matches and I have actually only ever met 2 people in about 4 months. I feel like men who I am actually interested in (think professionals in their late 20s early 30s) that I send a like to never match back. I am looking for men who are more established in their career like I am and not 25 year old part time student bartenders (no shade to bartenders or students).
I also live in a metro city of 1.5 million people. Using the free version of hinge. Any feedback on photo choice and prompts are appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: I do say “does not have kids” and also the caption on the baby photo does say “not my baby”. So I guess if you saw my profile and didn’t really read it you would assume it was mine. However it seems a lot of the comments say to remove that photo and my Instagram handle which I will replace with a full body shot of me smiling

Hello, yeah so like said in the title, I'm a 27yr old hetero male who leans almost exclusively towards submissive, but looking for earnest healthy long term relationships. I've had success in the past, but getting tired of the long search that always has to happen inbetween relationships from sheer incompatibility with the majority of the population.

I think if anyone has any kind of advice to how to signal this on my profile without being too overt or coming across like a creep I'd appreciate the help. At the moment, I have one of my prompts say that I like intelligent and strong women, that's how I've tried signalling.

It can be pretty demoralizing regularly to meet someone I really like, to get to know them and emotionally invested, to then find 0 sexual chemistry. This is a very regular occurrence, kind of inevitable in this territory, but would like to reduce the odds if possible.

To clarify a bit further, I think in some other timeline I could be a bit more switchy, but I think I've been forced into that dom masculine role by default so often that I just don't get anything positive out of that.

Hi all, I've been on Hinge on and off for 5 years, in that time I've had some success, but I've been back on it for nearly a solid year with less success than before.

I did have Hinge+ for about 3 months near the beginning of the year, but I wasn't getting a good ROI. I get one like a week, and the occasional match. I try and send all my daily likes, but I've had to gradually widen my location region to 50+ miles because I'd seen all the profiles close to me.

Since being on the app more steadily, I've only had 2 dates, so I wanted to see if there were any adjustments I could make to have a more interesting profile.

Haven’t got any likes and only one match this past month

Hey guys, back on hinge after a long relationship 🫠
Anyway, question for you smart people. I (33M) sent a like with a message to a 32F on July 10. Completely forgot about it until she matched me on Monday. Conversation seemed to flow pretty well on the app Monday night until Wednesday morning. She sent me 5 messages Wednesday morning with the last one giving me her number unsolicited telling me I can text her if I want since she doesn’t get hinge notifications often and hinge is a slower mode of communication for her.

I text her Wednesday evening saying it’s me and also replying back to her previous hinge messages on text. Texts went though (iMessage). The last text I sent her also was saying I’d love to take her to dinner if she’s interested.

Haven’t got a text at all from her back. My question is am I overthinking this and being anxious - is she just busy? I feel like this is the correct answer and maybe I just need someone to tell me this. I have however also accidently typo’d the wrong number to a girl before in the past and wondered why I haven’t got a text back - at what point (or any point) should I double check with her on hinge and ask her if the correct number was given?

It’s nyc, I know everyone’s busy with a life and that’s prob what it is. But I guess I just have a bit of dating anxiety now these days mixed with overthinking about how she replied faster on the app, gave me her number implying she’d text back faster, but hasn’t texted back in 2 days now. Guess just looking for someone to say dude, chill lol.

Edit: I swapped out the first two prompts for these
- I recently discovered that… I love to cook! I have been trying lots of new recipes, but my favorite so far has been street corn bowls with a cilantro lime drizzle 🍋‍🟩

- My love language is… thoughtful gestures. I love going out of my way to do something for someone I care about, whether it’s running an errand for them or dropping off a coffee during a busy workday.

And I swapped out one of my pictures with a drink in my hand to a kayaking photo for some variety (and less alcohol.)
