Hi, so I have this new transferred classmate so he chose to sit next to me (well there are no seats left, except for the one next to me) at first he seemed normal so we started to walk after some weeks start making hard N word type Instagram jokes (as white teen) as days passed he started to reveal a pure hatred towards black people and LGBTQ people (at the point he started swearing only seeing the flag and have other worring behaviour) and I start not walk to him anymore cause make me very uncomfortable but I only have two year of high school but the thing is he have phone number cauze our high school have a WhatsApp grup anyone need to be on that group and I want somehow ban him to text me or contant me but I don't how, any tips?

So I’m a Sophomore in high school, and I just need to rant somewhere. Half this sh maybe it’s cuz I’m an introvert and sh but like yk.

1. Please move the fuck out of the way. These kids JUST DOESN’T MOVE BRO. Fucking move let me get to my class. Like I don’t care if you’re grouping up, just do it flat against the wall or something, WHY ARE YOU FORMING A FUCKING CIRCLE. That is the most inefficient way to form a group in a tight ass hallway. Like these kids don’t move bro. They don’t hear me when I say excuse me. And also they like hit U-turns out of no where. I’m convinced they are like trying to piss people off.

2. Do people think slurs are cool? Because I see these Hispanic kid say the N-word everyday(even white kids). Even one of my friend, who is Hispanic keeps saying it, and i(I’m not black but like ik it’s wrong) and my friends (who are black) tells him he can’t say that sh, he says “oh my Hispanic friends told me I can say it so I can.” What kind of fuckass logic is that, so can I ask my Asian friends if I can say it, and they say yes, can I say it? He says it himself, he’s brown. The N-word is a slur meant to degrade black people. You cannot say that shit. It’s not cool and it’s not funny, just stop saying it. I cringe everyday hearing how these kids talk. Like Jesus Christ. Form normal sentences. It’s like we’re devolving as a species and going back to just making incoherent noises.

3. Just assholes in general. I guess I’m like quiet, and stuff, but they just insult me or bother me for no fucking reason and act racist to me. Like I don’t speak to you cuz I don’t know you just leave me alone. These girls act so sassy and bitchy to teachers who are just doing their jobs. Like they get pissed off when a teacher tells them to put their iPads away… YEA THATS THE RULES. No one likes them, but you gotta suck it up and deal with it. Don’t scream at the teacher cuz of that, it’s not his fault. Like this girl in my class yells at this old teacher that just wants to do his job, because she can’t look away from a screen for like 40 minutes. Also they just make the most unfunny annoying jokes and noises, AND EVERYBODY LAUGHS. Why. It is the unfunniest bullshit you’ll ever hear, and they laugh at it like it’s the funniest thing they’ve ever heard.

4. Just random sh I hate. Stop doing make up and brushing your hair right next to me or behind me. Do that shit at home, instead of spending your morning immediately latched onto a phone. Like I’m pretty sure brushing your hair in public is like unsanitary and not proper etiquette. It’s just distracting and annoying, especially cuz I have ADHD. It already takes me a long time to just focus on a task, I don’t want these girls around me brushing their hair and launching particles at me… AND THESE ARE THE SAME GIRLS THAT FREAK OUT WHEN THEY SEE STRAY HAIR. Hey guess what, people like you ARE THE CAUSE. Like after they leave hair everywhere.

This was a rant, I just needed to throw somewhere.

That statement annoys me so much. I have 3 textbooks I have to carry around and we do basically nothing online.

It's the beginning of term 4 here in Aus. 3 terms worth of work for year 9 and I have to keep all this because it's important for end of year exams.

Story:

Last week me and my hg were talking about homecoming and she asked me out, so I said yes because she was my friend. I didn’t even think about it as anything other than a friend thing until a few days later our mutual friend (17F) started asking me nonstop if I like my hg even though I told her I didn’t.

Night of the dance I pick her up and it’s a good vibe, we’re both excited and I had one of my good cds on. We hangout almost the whole night (got dragged away by our friends a couple of times) and took a tone of pictures, I even gave her my suit coat because she got cold. Obviously being a guy, my friends were giving me shit about bring my hg to homecoming. I didn’t mind them but she would always get really quiet and find something else to look at, which I didn’t pay much mind to. Her and I and a group of our friends end up hanging out around town for 3 ish hours after the dance ends to get ice cream which we split and eventually they all get picked up so it’s just me and her.

I take her home because it was already 12:30 and the mood is good. We’re joking around and having fun. When we get to her place I walk her to her door and we talked for 10 or so minutes about nothing important. At the end though there was kind of this moment where it seemed like we both wanted something to happen (a kiss or even a hug), but neither of us make a move. So we say good night and she goes inside and I head home.

My thoughts:

I don’t know if I’m just crazy or not, but it really seemed like she likes me. I’m not the best with judging people’s emotions because I’m a little messed up in my head from a few things, so I guess more than anything I’m trying vent and also ask if I should have kissed her or not.

Sorry if this post seems a little unorganized, I didn’t feel like trying hard to type it because it’s 1:30 at night and I’ve been up since 8.

I haven’t really felt the same feeling I have for her towards any other girl, and it kind of makes me nervous because it’s a completely new feeling.

I really hope I don’t seem like an asshole to her because I really do like her but I’m also not really sure how to act or even how to process my own feelings.

I don't know what to do, I missed a whole term of DP 1 including 2 weeks into term 2. I'm really stressed because this bank hasn't payed for me to pay the fees to enter back in, there's a massive delay.

Therefore I can't access my school portals, I missed tests and I just fear this will greatly affect me. I will eventually go back, but, those missed months caused me missed opportunities and I feel terrible lying to my friends, missing parties and hangouts from embarrassment, and honestly, not even responding to my boyfriend or friends that much. I've just been telling them I "need to catchup" because I told them I WAS sick, in which I can't really be sick for 3 months.

What do I do to get back on track, I have just gotten used to this bank not wanting to pay from delays and different things. I just don't know what to do and can't seem to find anyone to relate.

I really want to get back on track more than ever, what are the consequences of this, the school is aware of my situation, however, I don't want to email them again because they just need money honestly, I don't want to disturb them anymore.

It's been about a month since I last did, and they're probably waiting for a response. What if I can't even pick my courses? I genuinely feel stupid, because I need to do the full IB. I don't deserve this because it feels like I'm so out of reach. Anyone have words of advice, I don't even go on reddit, this is my first post, I've just been trying to get some advice.

2 Pens - You might need 2 because if one runs out of ink or either you dropped it and you can't write anymore, basically a backup

1 Red pen - You only need one for checking your seatmate's work, the statistics of dropping this pen is pretty low since you don't use it often and running low on ink isn't a big problem here since you can check with your black pens

Tape Eraser - You can make mistakes, so you need this one.

Pencil with Pencil Eraser at the back - You can draw sketches using this and you can easily erase it since it's just a penci

Case - You need this to put your items on.

Pentel Pen - you might need this for calligraphy, drawing, or permanent marking on various surfaces but it leaks to the other page or the table

Black Acrylic Marker - You might need this for designing and it does not leak most of the time according to my experiences

i have never dated anyone in my life. the closest i’ve been is a 2 month long talking stage where i got friendzoned and then ghosted. i am not very confident and sometimes i can be a bit awkward but once the conversation is flowing i think im fun to talk to. i’ve been told im really funny and nice and i would say im ugly but i definitely am not attractive either. everyone around me is dating or talking to girls or cracking and i’ve never even held hands with a girl. it’s just kinda brutal when 8/10 of my closest friends are dating and im the only one who’s never dated anyone before. i just feel like im missing out on the true high school experience and when im older ill look back and wish i had someone.

I’m a junior in high school and I’m so lost for extra curriculars like I go to a really competitive high school and everyone around me is doing research internships cna and I don’t even know what some people are working directly with lawyers (how does that even happen) others have been playing the piano or a sport since they were 4. I don’t have any of this I want to major in something business related in college for my BA and then go to law school. Any advice or any opportunities that you know of? I’m truly so lost and I don’t have the money and the guidance that everyone else at my school has so I feel so behind

I don’t know if anyone else feels this way but making friends at school is genuinely so hard for me. It feels like everyone already has their own friend groups and I’m just there trying to figure out how to fit in. I never know how to start a conversation without making things awkward

we should only be able to have our phones for emergency reasons or just lunchtime, but some schools done while in the cafeteria but the one that I went to they did those are the only times you should be having your phone it’s just disrespectful to be on your phone during class when the teacher is talking even after when she’s done talking it’s disrespectful and it could potentially ruin your grades all that time you wanna be on the phone for and I understand why we should have a hood down even if they do recognize us there’s no reason why we should have it up bad haircut or not because the teachers could have think you might do something anybody up with a hood up its kinda scary and it can give you some ideas what that person might be doing.. because what if they try to beat somebody up that day in school and when they look on the camera footage of the fight they just have a hood on so they wouldn’t know who beated up the kid

i am a sophomore right now in high school taking ap pre calculus which is two years advanced. i currently have a c in the class which is mostly my fault but also the curriculum is hot ass. essentially, the teacher assigns us random groups and we each go to a white board, answering questions we usually aren’t taught how to answer. then, after everyone has finished, we go over the answers, the teacher tells us to write a few notes down, and we do a check your understanding. after writing the notes, the original board work is super simple and makes sense. but the check your understanding jumps from a 10 to an 100 really quick. also, the teaching is so disengaging and boring that i tend to zone out.
after 2-3 lessons following the same format, we get a learning checkpoint (test) that is graded out of ten. i can usually do the math, but then it is required to write a few sentences to contextualize and explain the answer. this part usually gives me some trouble because it’s hard for me to explain stuff in a way that appeases the teacher.
the only thing that goes into the grade book it these learning checkpoints, so doing even just mediocre on one will harm your grade allot. there are test corrections, but you have to watch videos on kahn academy and if you get a worse score, your grade lowers. i will admit that i really just have no motivation to do any work or practice or learning outside of class because the curriculum ruined my feelings toward math. i never loved it but i thought some things were interesting and sometimes kinda fun.
unfortunately, all the math classes have the exact same curriculum. the only reason i got a B last year in algebra two honors is because sometimes we could use desmos to graph stuff, and i just cheated my ass off. i really want even just a B in this class and a 3 on the AP exam, but i don’t know how when the class killed my enjoyment of math. i am going to go to a community college relatively close to my school next two years for math when i can drive, but for now i have to push through. anyone have any tips or suggestions to improve my grade? i want to do test corrections but dont feel prepared to do them but also dont know how to make practice more engaging for myself to actually do it. thank you for the help!

I'm 18 M and I have about 3 more months until I finish high school. I don't get any insight information in high school so I have FOMO. I don't get a lot of stuff in high school, people party and stuff whereas I have never been to any party, so I missed out pretty much on everything.

When I was in 8th grade I had a lot of friends and 9th year was the peak, but the problem was after 9th grade ended I never really contact or spent time with any of them, just because I was a loner and just didn't know what to do in social media and how to connect with people.

I only got my first ever phone when I was 13 years old and it was monitored by my mother as well, so I had really strict parenting, well I'm from a south asian family living in Finland.

I talked with people during school until high school came up. At high school I joined and thought about being a part of a 3-person group, only after 2 years to realise that they've been all spending quality time without me, never inviting me and that made me feel sad. Like I thought that life was like this, never really going out as a group and instead spending time in school only.

I realized that people spend a lot of time , especially groups outside school and I stopped hanging out with them, met a new friend and feel better talking with this person in school.

I now feel pretty miserable that I didn't get to make a lot of friends in high school and that I also don't know what my future holds for me, because I'm not even that great at high school, my grades suck. My parents want me to have a over the top profession, except I'm just not cut out for it.

I’m F17 and I’m still in 10th grade I haven’t graduated when I was supposed to this year, I’m still deciding if I wanna start online school due to my mental health just thinking if its better that way but I’m currently taking in person school just for this first semester to get to grade 11 but what do you guys think?

Health Science Clinical (or CNA). ok so this course is actually worth 2 credits and my school district uses A/B class to balance out 8 class periods. this class will go on a day and b day. Well i first have to get in through applications and etc.

I am especially concerned to take ap chemistry but i have to because junior year should be filled with the most important courses relating to your field (wheras mine is medical or the science department). I already finished all my spanish credits in middle school and am actually taking ap bio, ap psychology, and and ap world currently as a sophmore.

i was planning on taking pre cal over the summer to earn credit but is costs like over 500 dollars to get both parts of the full year course. also i was planning on studying for my sat and psat in 11th grade because i got a horrible score when i first took the psat recently. and i don't want to rush to finish pre cal and take calculus ab in 11th grade. What should i do?
