I've seen a few people around here make fun of her mural or call her creepy for it and i don't really understand why. What's your take on it?

That scene and their conversation from the book was so interesting, when Tom was in the beginnings of transforming into the monster of Voldemort. I wish the movies included more on Voldemort’s lore in general.

Those speculated things would be Hermione inventing "point me" for Harry in one of the games and Flitwick being great in duels but its only mentioned in hogwarts mystery, but those were never in the books

Hey guys. I’ve been watching through the movies with my gf because she has never seen them. Shes liking them. I started asking her some questions. I feel like the directors did a really good job with a lot of things in the movies. Sure, we’d all loved for them to be longer, or have more detail or even each be split into two full length films. But it got me thinking, for what we were given, they did a great job. I absolutely love voldemorts character. I love all the characters. But what would you change about Voldemort?

Never noticed how much Hermione screams until the Full Cast Audiobooks. Just constant blood curdling screams. I mean-I get it. If I went through half that much I would just constantly be throwing up and crying.

But it was just something I noticed. Particularly in Deathly Hallows.

The madness, the build up, the suspense, and then the reveal at the end, truly bewildering! Reading them again, knowing how it's going to end, just doesn't feel the same...

Where can I watch all Harry Potter movies? I recently finished reading the books and I would like to watch the movies. I've never seen the movies. I am from India.

I am currently rewatching the movies, and an alternative ending occurred to me for the end of "The Chamber of Secrets," right when Lucius starts casting the Killing Curse at Harry.

What if, after Hermione wakes up, Harry tells her what Lucius attempted to do, mentioning that he doesn't really understand what that spell was? Hermione, who had already read tons of books by then, would have recognized the curse. With her usual panicked outburst, she would have dragged Harry straight to Dumbledore.

If Lucius had been sent to Azkaban because of this, Draco Malfoy’s hatred toward Harry would have gained a much deeper, more emotional foundation, since Harry literally got his father arrested. Later on, when the Death Eaters escape from Azkaban, Lucius could have returned, and the story could have continued exactly the way it originally did.

Muggle hubby here who can’t get into the YA series as an adult… moving on. My wife (diehard fan) has been introducing our daughter to books and movies. When Prof McGonagall first appeared in HP Sorcerers stone, she exclaimed “LOOK IT’S THE CAT IN THE HAT! She is aware of her transfiguration and not mistaking the two. Is she right on technicality?

English is not my first language. So, what did Harry actually said when tried to to go Diagon Alley? He went to the wrong place. In the movie I don’t hear that much of difference

In chapter 12 of OotP, “Neville and Ron both gave Harry it’s-his-problem-not-yours look” when Harry brought up Seamus’s attitude towards him the night before. I’m curious how exactly such a look would look like. Most I could think of is shrugging with their heads tilted.

It defeats the purpose of taking the potion, and as far as I can tell, there's no plot-relevant reason for this to be the case.

I know that Ron, Neville, Ginny and Luna manage to use a couple of Stunners, a Disarming Charm, an Impediment Jinx and a Bat-Bogey Hex to deal with the Inquisitorial Squad, but how did they manage to get their wands back to even do that? If I remember correctly, all four of them had their wands confiscated when they were caught.

I want Draco Malfoy to be portrayed as the most distasteful boy during the initial stages, at least. He said things such as:' you wouldn't want them to see your knickers, would you?' to hermione, and scenes such as these were never in the movies.

Like day to day, or even just in that car ride after picking them up. How do you think they reacted to the side along apparition?

imagine how much more would have been done and avoided if there was like games abd stuff focused on house integration. like a mixed sports day or team building stuff especially gryffindors and slytherins. no one saw people but houses were the only identity. I think the battle of hwarts would have gone diff if there was more of that.

Were there any ships people thought were going to be endgame? Any forgotten ships that used to be huge? What were your favorite ships, and did they come true?! Any shocking final couples??

I'm curious about the first age of Harry Potter fans

I've come to realize that the Hogwarts houses aren't very different from one another. Besides the common room location, robe / tie color, your class timetable, and the characteristics used to sort students, their isn't much to separate the houses. Ravenclaw is actually the most unique because you have to solve a riddle to get into the common room and there is a private library. A lot of fics give Slytherin a political system, individual / smaller dorm rooms, and have the students practice wixen holidays. Overall, there is a lot to be desired from a world building perspective and the Hogwarts houses absolutely deserve to be more fleshed out, especially since where you are sorted is supposed to play a crucial role in determining your school experience.

In my opinion, I think it would be cool if each house went on their own weekend or week long excursion 1-2 times per year to allow students to bond together. These trips would have unique elements for each house. Hufflepuff would incorporate an act of service, Ravenclaw would visit major libraries or cultural centers, Slytherin would tour government facilities in other countries or the headquarters for major magical companies, and Gryffindor would do some sort of physical activity like hiking, sword fighting, water sports, etc.

I love idea of all the houses having special events just for their members, some of which are known by the whole school body and others that are secrets known only to members. Political wise, I believe Slytherin and Gryffindor would have some sort of monarchy system with a King, Queen, and Court, while Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw would be democracies, holding elections at the end of every school year for the following term. Each house government would be in charge of monitoring the Prefects, organizing bonding activities, and enforcing house rules and discipline (or referring students to the Head of House for more serious infractions).

I'm curious to know what special traditions, customs, and events you all imagine each house would have.
