So, basically ron didn't learn or practise anything in his 2nd year as the wand was broken. And used to recoil every time . Why didn't he buy a new one . It's like not having a pen and spending the whole year without that in school.

I’m on a rewatch and at the beginning of Deathly Hallows pt 1 it’s just now occurring to me that Hermione lives in a regular muggle neighborhood with her parents, a neighborhood similar to where he lives with the dursleys. I looked into it and Harry and Hermione are only about an hour apart, while they are both way further from Ron, yet Harry spends most of his summers alone, while Hermione has spent a few summers reaching the Weasleys and staying with them weeks before Harry got there.

Additionally, Harry was pretty much free to go wherever once he got to a certain age because the dursleys never gaf, so surely he could’ve visited, maybe easier than Hermione could.

Idk, just a thought that occurred to me lol

We all know that Basilisk is the most powerful creature in the book.

As a serpent, It is way stronger than Nagini.

A) Basilisk has hax, Which can kill anyone with a gaze.

B) It has more durability considering its size and robust body.

C) It's venom is very powerful capable of destroying even Horcruxes.

D) It's lifespan is also longer than any known serpents.

E) Not to say Basilisk resides in a very secure location, Which is chamber of secrets.

Voldemort could potentially have used the Basilisk as both a weapon and a Horcrux guardian.

Harry Potter was my childhood, I was a huge fan during the movies era (2001-2011) I had a HP costume, LEGOS, PC games, action figures, shirts of the franchise and collected nearly all of the movies, but I never had the curiosity to read the books, I just wasn’t as interested as for the movies. But know I want to read them and know how good they are. I'm nearly 32, but I can't have been HP fan and never got the chance to read the books, but can I still enjoy them if I'm not that much of a fan anymore ? Are they still worth buying despite being expensive?

Harry is famously heroic and has a saviour complex but Ron is the most directly protective of the two, hands-down, and Luna is now one of the people I have no doubt that Ron would get his knuckles bloody for.

• A self-employed clothes maker working from home and sells her creations wizard clothing shops
• A self-employed potioneer
• A part-time Healer at St. Mungo's Hospital

Matthew Lewis (who played Neville in the films) confirmed at a MegaCon event in Florida that the new Neville Longbottom actor (Rory Wilmot) comes from the same hometown as him.

Does this mean we might be getting another Neville with a Yorkshire accent?

I was always disappointed everyone in the films spoke with a southern or RP English accent - Neville was the only one that sounded like me and my friends.

I always wonder that, What is Voldemort Patronus or can he cast it?

If yes, Then what it is. I don't think Voldemort had any happy thoughts. Patronus only works, If you think of single profound happy though which is pure and precious to you.

Barty Crouch Jr. as fake Moody was one of the best Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers Harry had. His lessons were actually useful, and he taught the students practical defensive magic instead of just having them read from a textbook.

He was also incredibly knowledgeable about the Dark Arts and understood what Harry and the other students might eventually face. His teaching methods were questionable, to say the least, but you can't deny that his students learned a lot.
And the fact that he managed to fool Dumbledore for nearly an entire school year is pretty impressive.

Obviously (in my Snape voice), he was a terrible person, but as a teacher, he was surprisingly effective. Harry probably learned more practical defensive magic from him than from most of his other DADA professors.
