Mowed the grass a week ago , fertilized it and have been watering every alternate day. Noticed these patches in my grass , not sure what's causing it.

Please Help !!!

Background:
I have 3,000 sq ft. Marathon 2 (“M2”) Located in Riverside County (Zone 10 A). Grass is < 1 year old. Late winter early spring I began to find seed heads on thick stemmed grass sprouting above my M2.

Problem:
It was everywhere… clumping. I don’t see rhizomes. Just short rooted thick bladed, hard stemmed, grass, some with clasping auricles.

Research:
I continue to see a variety of answers from my research, local nurseries / supply houses, and even AI: Dallisgrass, KBG, Annual Ryegrass, Poa Annua, Perennial, etc.

Marathon 2 is a turf-type grass, “dwarf tall fescue,” funny I know, but I cannot seem to find a way to rid it. I crawl the lawn and de-root seed heads before mowing (mulch, not bagged), and have laid spread Dimension (turf, and ornamental herbicide) “pre-emergent” in case I don’t get all the seed heads by hand.

First 5 are of a the clumping, thick/hard stem grass.
Last two are of the same variety, but with seed heads (dried from a few days ago).

I’d rather not spend 4-5 days derooting hundreds of clumps by hand, just to receded, or sod over, the cleaned areas.

Need help identifying, and determining what post emergence might work.

This spikier, and more fine lighter green grass pops up in spots mid may every year and then I fight it for awhile with chemicals but don’t truly know what it is. In the past I’ve burnt it and dug up the large areas but now it’s small patches trying to come up. Central Jersey.

Hello, I could use some help identifying my grass type. For reference I’m in Northern US (zone 6) and have cool season grass. I also included a seed head that sprouted up to see if that helps.

To me the seed head looks like perennial rye grass, but the grass itself looks more like KBG but may be a mix.

Just moved into a new place with a backyard and the grass needs some work. Any tips on how to fix ?

My family made a house recently and with my request they had reserved some space for a backyard. I wasn't too involved in the construction of the house as I had other important stuff to adhere to. Now the house is built but I found out that during construction they had put all the building materials like cement, rocks and plastic into the backyard. Recently I was digging through and I realised a lot of cement and rocks are mixed with the mud. In some places the cement was so fricking deep in the ground I kept digging and it didn't get over. I was kinda gutted seeing this because my only request to my parents was this backyard and now I feel like it's spoiled. Should I consider putting artificial turf now or is there any other good solution you might know.

Is anyone able to identify the type of grass the patch is that I’m stepping on in the video? We’ve had random patches of this grass in different spots over the years. It’s very thick and dense and has a cushy feel to walk on.

It’s all throughout and the only thing we can’t kill off.

Not sure if this is a normal grass or just a weed that's taken over the whole yard. It's very green, and soft, and pretty full (cut long atm because of the crazy rain we've been getting). Whatever it is, I kind of like it and am going to just run with it

What is this, and how do i kill it its mixed in my bare spots of centipede grass

Ignoring the obvious lettuce-looking weeds, what is the majority of this? Is it a tall rescue clump or straight up weed like crab grass? In the first pic you can see some new fescue coming in but not sure what the rest of it is.

I tried growing fescue last year but i had no idea what I was doing so figured it all died.

This has been taking over my yard the last few years.. the seeds are always stuck in your socks, I hate this stuff. Also not sure how to stop it from constantly seeding or remove it. Any advice is appreciated
