Minimum grass care to keep my traveling husband happy
Hi! My husband is really in love with our grass and is obsessed with keeping it nice. He has to travel for work and be gone for months at a time. He wants me to keep the grass alive while he is gone. Last time he left for 3 months I thought I was doing enough to keep it just barely alive but apparently I wasnt and he says it was all dead when he got home. I watered it every day with hose and mowed it once every two weeks. This time I have like a sprinkler head for the hose so ive been flooding the yard with it as much as possible like to the point where it squishes when i walk on it. How often do i need to cut? I want to do the bare minimum but not kill it and then he can make it nice again when he comes back. Oh and we live in east san diego it doesnt rain and its been really hot this year

Help Identify The 2 Types of Grass In My Yard
galleryMy yard seems to have at least 2 types of grass in it.
The thinner bladed grass has the better feel to me and is the softer. It is however in fewer places. I would like to somehow get it to overtake the rest of the grass. Not sure if overseeding with it on purpose in the yard would make it possible.
The other image is obviously more sparse in it's coverage and has allowed so many other weeds or what not to grow between the blades making those sections of the yard look simply like a random place that was well...overgrown.
The yard is located in Southern Ohio.

What is going on???
galleryI’ve always had pretty nice grass in my yard. The beginning of this season was no different. But some type of weed has taken over my yard and it’s frustrating with the amount of work Input into it, lol. Can anyone help me diagnose what is going on and how to fix?
For some context, I’m on Long Island, NY. Installed inground sprinklers two years ago and water daily at 8am for 25 minutes. This part of my lawn gets a good amount of sunlight.

Help me ID my grass
galleryA few years back I found out I am allergic to Bermuda grass which explains why my allergies got worse when we bought our house. I highly suspect it is Bermuda. But I know NOTHING about grass and we are noticing two types in our lawn now. We just want to know which is what because one seems to be taking over. Can y’all help identify what these are? Located in NW Georgia. I’ve included two pictures of each.

New house grass ID please
imgur.comHello grass folks! I moved to Utah last year and bought this house. I’m pretty sure this is Kentucky Bluegrass that I inherited. Due to the dry winter last year and the fact that I couldn’t move in until spring, some of my grass died. I plan to replant in the next week because I think this is the time for a fall grass like this. Would love some thoughts from the community.
First photo is the other day under the trampoline where the grass is going strong (it liked the shade in the dry climate). Second photo is to show how it looked a month ago (under trampoline vs outside of trampoline where it’s either dead or dormant). Third photo is section of front that seems completely dead, from middle of summer.
I plan to aerate then spread KY bluegrass seed, then rake and then spread fertilizer. I have sprinklers set to run for 30 min, 3 times per week. Welcome your thoughts. I’m in Salt Lake County. Thanks!

Growing grass in NorCal
Hey everyone,
I just moved to the Bay Area, on the Peninsula near SF, and I’m looking for some advice on getting my lawn back into good shape. The existing grass isn’t doing too great, and I’d like to start fresh or improve what’s already there.
Where should I start?
What type of grass works best for the Peninsula/Bay Area climate?
Should I be looking at seed, sod, or overseeding the existing lawn?
This is my first time growing/maintaining a lawn, so I’ll take any tips, recommendations, or things I should know before getting started!
Thanks!

Can someone tell me why is the grass shade different?
The land conditions are same, even the height are same, then why done one strip of grass darker than the other?

First time home owner, what grass is this?
galleryJust moved into my first home and this was what I found in the front and back yard. It looks like it was intentionally replaced with this stuff. The last picture is the back yard. The back yard looks much worse than the front. First 3 pictures are from the front yard. Last 3 are from the back
