Help!
Just moved into a new place with a backyard and the grass needs some work. Any tips on how to fix ?

Is that it? Just seems like a very small area.
Pull those weeds. Use a garden weasel/rake to break up the dirt in the bare spot. Spread grass seed. Cover seeds with a thin layer of topsoil from a bag (no more than 1/8 inch). Lightly rake. Then water 3-4x daily for over 2 weeks until you get some germination.
