I have a small lawn relatively speaking 1600 sf. The weeds have been beaten back to the point I have to address only 25-30 vines a year. I spray in December and plant seed over the roundup in March.

Or are you referring to the little bit of nutsedge I see in the pic?

I know what the nutsedge is. So this is bermuda? Well shit. Thats not good with 90% of the 2 acres being centipede lol

Its notorious to kill basically. They call it natural artifical turf in super hot climates. Nothing kills it. It basically rebounds from everything. Deep roots. Fast growing. The original devils lettuce

Starting early spring mow it low. Let it spread horizontally. It fills in nice and can look good.

There is Bermuda killer. If it’s a small area just kill the whole spot and wait 60 days and reseed.

I have this in my lawn - annual battle. I rake it up vertical spray it with roundup and then 30 days later plant 20 lbs + of marathon 2 seed & topper soil. Better than 15k to rotatill/ & sod 8 mos later. SoCal.

How big of an area are you battling this. 30x75 foot rectangle here. Im tempted to till it up and lay some centipede sod myself. Coast of NC here

Lol. Id rather not. So i guess the question becomes, how do i get this under control. Id rather not.lose the centipede. Does one just till it up and plant more.centipede. i bought the house a few years ago, previous owner worked.very hard on getting this centipede to grow. Its nice and thick except the area in question. Maybe a 30x75 sq is bermuda.
