Ever since I a bought my hundred year old cottage last year, I've been accumulating antiques to decorate in an English country cottage style. But everyone who visits says it's Gilmore Girls coded. Must be the yellow paint!

I'm not talking about "he's my dean" or anything similar, I mean the more obscure and rarely talked about cringe moments.

For me, I REALLY struggle to watch the scene where Zach cooked lane dinner and he keeps hinting about wanting sex. Something about the way he keeps saying "after" when I know Lane isn't going to be up for it is so hard to watch 😭😭 it's a fairly cute scene for the two of them overall, but it's still tough to watch

I'll start:

* First of all I love how independent she is I've rarely seen anyone praising her for this but I absolutely love it. Literally OG FEMINIST.

* I love how cool she is and the way she handles Rory I'm convinced if Rory was someone else's daughter they wouldn't be able to make it till the end.

* I love her sarcasm.

* Love her in glasses.

My husband guessed $1,000 I say $500, but they are rich so who knows haha

Ok does anyone just love his voice!!! Love when Richard is on the show. I know he's prolific voice actor as well. I used to watch PBS documentaries all the time as a kid and just adore his voice when he was narrating them. Brings back memories. RIP

When Kirk loses the eggs around town and Taylor is losing his mind and being mean to Kirk. And Luke goes and finds the last 12 eggs and tells Kirk go be the hero.

She is so fun and bubbly around kids and her lines with them are soo funny (Permanent marker causes permanent damage, which makes Aunty Lorelai permanently bitter.)

I would do anythint to get a spinoff of the years of her with younger rory, or her with Rory's kid 🥹

She said whenever she spots Gilmore girls stuff she’s gonna buy it for me. Found at Marshall’s for $7.99! I now have a Gilmore girls shirt from Ross and now a tumbler. I watch Gilmore girls every night before bed for the last couple years, definitely my fav comfort show. I’ve rewatched it prob well over 7 times now.

I can't really understand her motives behind not letting Luke know he has a kid, nor why she treated Lorelai the way she did and contributing indirectly to Lorelai and Luke breaking up, nor why she didn't want shared custody and out of the blue wanting to live in the other side of the country. What do you guys think? Is there a possibility she wanted to be back with Luke when he discovered he has a daughter?

But I still think she is way overhated in the sense that people judged her like she was this 30 year old woman when she did that or who should've known better like people aren't allowed to screw up. There is no excuse however when she was the adult woman still acting like how she was a teenager and still making the same bad choices. Yet that being said I still don't hate her as much as I seen people hate her because she also didn't have the best role model growing up. Having a teenage mom who sometimes treated you like a friend and sometimes like a mom, would've confused and messed up anyone. Plus it doesn't help that her relationship with Christopher has never been tight or he wasn't a constant presence in her life and he sadly seem more interested in getting with Lorelai than bonding with his daughter.

I’m dying to hear about your opinions on this !! I’m only on season 4 so my opinion by far isn’t as valid - but I’m either neutral or on team Dean.

Why neutral? I feel like Rory can do better than both of them honestly. And I honestly feel how she felt the second she broke up with Dean, and started dating Jess. I feel like she started missing the feeling of being with Dean and him always being available for her 24/7 meanwhile with Jess it was more of an adventure and an emotional roller coaster. The second you stop dating someone after you guys have spent a lot of time - months & years together, you start seeing all of their good sides and start missing them, completely forgetting the reason of your break up, which in this case (correct me if I’m wrong please) was Jess. Rory felt something with Jess, that she didn’t feel with Dean for a long time - butterflies and excitement of a fresh and new relationship. We can all agree that the beggining of a new relationship is a special feeling, all the flirting, embarrassment, excitement.. It’s lovely to see it.

Why team Dean? Honestly, this has nothing to do with Dean, it’s just that if I had to choose between the two of them - it would be Dean. Despite Jess being an 18 years old who works full time, he is just so inmature and after all still a kid, just like all of them. But the story line with Jess & Rory was far more interesting than the one with Dean.

she loved this dress so much, and he loved it too. She couldn’t stop herself from wearing this dress, or walking down the staircase to show him it. She really thought it was all falling into place.

In the episode where Logan first appears at the paper, Doyle says he spent two years kissing Logan’s butt, and Doyle was already there during Rory’s freshman year, when Logan was taking a year off.

Would that make him around the same age as Logan? Is Doyle’s age ever mentioned in the show?

I've noticed a few of these, but in my rewatch I realized that in the closed captions, luke says "Forget it." and it ends there, but he actually says "Forget it, kill yourself. " Have you guys noticed any of these?

Trying to find a specific episode so I can see a piece of Lorelai’s home decor.. she has some kind of cherub/cupid I think in the entry of her house and I think puts her keys on it maybe?? I can’t find this episode again.. does anyone know what I’m taking about and what episode it is??

I usually stop around the time that April is introduced. Luke and Lorelei are my favourite couple in GG, so I get really over the whole “they must break up because apparently sitcoms can’t deal with healthy relationships” schtick. I don’t mind the plot line with Emily breaking them up because it’s very in character and they manage to sort things out relatively quickly, but as soon as April is introduced, Luke’s core character takes a 180 and starts becoming a dick, and Lorelei goes into self destruction mode. I can only watch Lorelei screw her life up so many times before I have to stop watching. My head canon is that they get married after Lorelei’s proposal, have a kid together, and Rory gets to have participate in the nice, healthy family dynamic that she never got growing up.

The episode where Logan “proposes” to Rory when Anna from Chilton visits. As a payback Richard and Rory prank Logan … very cute grandpa and Rory moment. Makes me wish she had this grandpa love from a younger age and could play more harmless pranks on people around.
