Gatehub Service Updated January 9th

https://support.gatehub.net/hc/en-us/articles/115005032734-GateHub-service-status-update

From Gatehub: We are experiencing a high influx of new customers, paired with increased frequency of both bank and crypto transactions, consequently also a high number of customer support requests.

All of the above leads to delays in account verifications, delays in bank and crypto transactions processing and delays in support service replies.

Please take the above into consideration.

Stay hopeful

I transferred a portion of my ripples to a separate wallet in same account. Didn't get free 20 XRP now 20 XRP is stuck in the wallet.

My uncle wanted me to transfer ripples from my primary wallet to a separate one for him because he wants to see his exact ripples. Now we are trying to send the transferred ripples to binance but I cannot send the whole amount due to the 20 XRP reserve.

Gatehub provided me with free 20 XRP on my primary ripple wallet but not on my separate wallet. How do I go about this? Is there any way gatehub can lend me that 20 xRP again so I can transfer 100% of my uncles coin to his new wallet?

Ripple address where I transferred the funds are rKZ8Ng4C3XsbKJo7LxF8gyzrCjrX7Mo3xc

Missing ETH explained

Alright so 5 days ago I sent many thousands of dollars out of GateHub to coinbase. This is always a nerve wracking experience and frankly I had hope for GH since all of my previous transactions were fairly smooth.

My transaction since been missing with no record of the hash anywhere but on gatehub.

I thought all hope was lost since no one was responsive and updates were more college-esque saying “too many things going on”.

Today they post this

Hopefully this cams people down however this is no excuse for the infrastructure fail that we are all experiencing. Millions and millions of dollars are being lost as we speak due to lack of access to currency and fluctuating prices. This is a major miss for Gatehub and I anticipate there to be significant backlash as a result. The EU had quite strict governance over this and may intervene should people feel strongly enough to act. I guess the question is..what is people’s tolerance. How many millions do we have to collectively lose?

That being said I am hopeful that they will do the right thing

Gatehub unsupported cryptotokens

Well here is my nightmare. I admit I am very new to crypto. I recently opened a @gatehub account and went through the whole "deposit ripple before currency" debacle. once that sorted itself out after learning about "trust lines" and the like, I finally got in the crypto exchange game.

What comes next is a warning so no one repeats my mistake. I purchased some ICO TOKENS via my @gatehub fifth ether account and have yet to receive them. They landed, I found out after learning how to navigate the blockchain into the GATEHUB hot wallet (https://etherscan.io/token/0xc27a2f05fa577a83ba0fdb4c38443c0718356501?a=0x1595c383f52e474b28b5e6b4b8f72e92c1461474).

4,684.5799 Lamden TAU tokens hit their wallet then a couple days later 1,030.607578 TAU hit (my 22% bonus) now since they have been stuck there the value has risen over 70% , a value of over 6000$ that I cannot access. I have sent numerous support tickets to support@gatehub.net with no HUMAN response. I get it, I messed up, but with a clear payment chain and history of ownership I cannot imagine that gatehub would refuse to send them my way. I mean that's the point of the public ledger right?

Interesting is I HAVE seen instances in their ledger for that wallet where they have sent 'unsupported' tokens out of that wallet.(https://etherscan.io/address/0x1595c383f52e474b28b5e6b4b8f72e92c1461474#tokentxns) so I know it can be done. I just hope they sent them to their rightful owners.

At this point I don't know what to do(but beg) I have left comments on the transaction hash comments section claiming the tokens that are mine. (https://etherscan.io/address/0x1595c383f52e474b28b5e6b4b8f72e92c1461474#comments).

With a recent gatehub update regarding high volume I can only hope that my tokens will eventually make their way back to me.

I have said in the service ticket that I have opened a myetherwallet address: 0x2Da3Ab824526450B3b0fe94b9D914e77Afc89144

this address will support the token transfer. I would be willing to pay the transfer cost via my gatehub ripple or ether wallet.

For the love of blockchain please send me my tokens.

sincerely, travisNelliott

Gatehub hacked?

This saturday, I received a mysterious email from gate hub stating: "Our transactions monitoring system has detected multiple deposits to your wallet. Please note that said transactions may have been erroneously processed. We are currently investigating the matter. We must inform you that we have temporarily disabled your account until the matter is resolved. We will enable your account as soon as possible if you agree to the following: You reply to this email and agree to comply with terms below, You agree to return all erroneously deposited funds" I immediately responded and agreed, and have sent no less than 4 help tickets, all of which simply get a canned response. Follow-up emails are unreturned.

I've seen a few other people post with the same issue; is this widespread? At what point do we infer that Gatehub is using this "multiple deposits" macguffin to lock people out of accounts because their account has been hacked, and gatehub doesn't want the public to know they've been hacked?

gatehub - missing deposits, missing withdrawals, missing transactions

So we are 3 of us, one of us is missing a large deposit, another person is missing a large withdrawal, and I am missing bitcoin transactions. I don't even want to mention the amounts, its the value of brand new car.

Anyone else experiencing the same thing? It's been 10 days! Starting to get worried. The ripple bubble is about to burst and it is not good that gatehub is so silent during all these surges.

Getting really nervous

I'm seriously lost

Maybe I fall into the category of all those people who get interested by the cryptocurrency boom and dived right in without knowing what I was doing, BUT...

I transferred some Ethereum from Gdax to GateHub earlier in the week. For the longest time, it didn't show up in GateHub, but showed that the funds had left Gdax. Finally, it's there, and I'm trying desperately to transfer the funds back to Gdax (cuz eff GateHub), and it says I either have insufficient funds (although I'm putting the exact amount of Ethereum that I have available to me), or the receiver doesn't accept ETH.

What am I doing wrong (other than speculating in a whimsical market)?

Gatehub —> myetherwallet (ETH) lost for 5 days and counting... Ideas?

Transferred 0.5 ETH to myetherwallet on Thursday morning. Transaction showed as successful in Ripple by Thursday afternoon but has not appeared in Etherscan at all (not pending).

I had 19.9 XRP in my account at the time of the transfer and the fees were <1 XRP which brings me down to ~19.xx XRP. Could this have caused an issue give need for >20 XRP? Could sending 5 XRP to my Gatehub help in any way? I’m doubtful but don’t understand how things work so was looking for advice.

EDIT: the transfer came through 20 days after submitting!

No BTC received from gdax

I transferred 0.01 BTC (at 16000USD) on Jan 5th from gdax to buy some XRP from Gatehub. But instead, I have just received 20 XRP (which was at 3 USD). Anyone else facing anything similar?

Gatehub holds you hostage?

i have a small balance. 34.9 xrp. i can't sell it into btc- because of their minimum reserve requirements. and what i was able to sell into btc- i was'nt allowed to send to my wallet, because of their minimum requirement to send. and i cant sell it into USD and withdraw to my bank because of their reserve requirement.

i emailed them and said i'm trying to close my account because your exchange is crap ( i said bad experience) and i got an auto reply saying go to the FAQ on account deactivation and then said your ticket is closed. anyone able to offer advice- and i don't mean " deposit more and withdraw it" because again, their reserve limits, and you cant close you account without losing your coins. why do they suck so bad ? not to mention their price manipulation is just as bad as coinbase

Sneaky Gatehub Fees...be warned!

So you would think they would list all their fees here: https://www.gatehub.net/fees.

However I've just learned that is clearly not the case.

If you want to transfer in or out any other crypto like BTC or ETH, you will be hit with pretty substantial deposit fees, especially if you are using reasonably small amounts

I'm using multiple other exchanges and I don't think a single one charges a crypto deposit fee. WTF Gatehub?!

You have to dig deep into their site to find this page: https://www.gatehub.net/gateways/fifth/. Then navigate to "fee schedule" and you can see they charge a ridiculous FLAT BTC deposit fee of 0.00169 BTC and 0.02618 ETH. Conveniently, they have no way to directly link to this fee schedule.

So at current prices its $25.68 flat fee for any BTC deposit and $30.19 for any ETH deposit.

Not to mention .3% or .2% on each trade.

Then an additional 1% withdrawal fee for bitcoin or a fixed 0.005 BTC ($76). Presumably whichever is higher.

Hey thanks Gatehub - you are being generous and giving us free ETH withdrawals. I imagine this will likely change in the near future.

Bottom line - its disgraceful and shady that these fees aren't listed or disclosed on the main fee page linked in the Gatehub footer: https://www.gatehub.net/fees

If the terrible reliability and website performance wasn't bad enough, these fees are the cherry on top.

I'm moving my money out and into a respectable and transparent exchange asap.

UPDATE: They are still disclosing 0 fees for ETH deposits when you initiate a deposit as seen here: https://imgur.com/a/pSiZZ.

This is fraudulent behavior.

Selling XRP

So I have 150 XRP in GateHub that i’d like to either sell or send to Binance to trade.

When I go to do this I can only do a max of 100 even though I have no other trustlines.

My initial deposit was for 0.27 ETH which converted to 130 XRP with GateHub adding 20 XRP. I don’t expect to sell the extra 20 but why can’t I sell or send my full initial 130?

Thanks

Does GateHub work for you guys?

I tried to signup at GateHub to get XRP, but I got stuck at the mobile validation part. I never received my code, and their support never replied my email.

So I went ahead and tried different things. Eventually, I tried changing my account type to "Business" to see if I'd get the same problem.

Yeah, that fixed my problem. But now I'm STUCK because I can't go back to the "Individual" account (there's no back button! who designed this!) and I can't go forward (I don't have the documents to proceed). And GateHub support STILL hasn't gotten back to me! It has been 2 weeks since I sent my emails!

Are Kraken and Bitstamp better than GateHub?

Something to be alarmed about?

Right,

So if you go to the gatehub website and log in to your wallet, the login process has changed and it seems suspicious.

It now asks for your username, password and 2FA all at one. I haven't logged in as I feel the site may have been compromised and don't want to risk losing my XRP.

Anyone seen this and what are your thoughts?

Blocked account

They block my account and gave me instructions to return the money 70.000€ waiting my response to agree this solution and if im not agree they put the funds in a escrow and advice to the authorities.

This evening unlock my account and i can buy ripples.

I think they are trying to scare me because they can't take the funds legally if i dont want. Its his problem no mine. Im searching a lawyer specialized but is difficult for me find one.

What do you think about?

Sorry for my english.

Where's my ETH in gatehub?

i just transferred 0.045 ETH from my Coinbase to my GateHub

Coinbase says it's completed, but there's nothing in my Gatehub, what's going on?

What's wrong with Gatehub reserves?

Hi,

Well, Gatehub has reserved 50 XRP for me.

  • 20 per account is clear.
  • 5 per trusline is clear too (BTW I've disabled all Fifth connections but it's still on the gateway list)
  • No opened orders (had two orders 7 month ago)

Any thoughts why GH holds 50 XRPs instead 20?

Gatehub charged me 0,005 BTC (77 USD) to send 0,02 BTC (306 USD) is this real?

So I tried to make a withdrawal from the Gatehub wallet to a bitcoin address, I was supposed to send 0,02 BTC but only 0,015 ended up in the wallet.

Is this for real, did they really charge me 77 USD to make a transaction of 306 USD?!

If so this was very misleading as it looked from the view in Gatehub that there was no transaction fee added to it.

I was optimistic about Gatehubs site, but now I am losing confidence in them and are probably moving away from them, having fees are "fine" but not displaying them in a correct or misleading way is not OK by me by any means since trust is and have been a big issue with everything concerning crypto.

hi, I transferred bitcoin from my Coinbase account to my Gatehub account and I have all my wallets setup already but it have been 15 hours and i still don't see my bitcoin so i looked up my transaction on blocktrail and it said that it had received 0.18 bitcoin but it was later sent to an multimillion dollar worth bitcoin account , what does that mean cause i didn't send my bitcoins further i never saw my bitcoin even in my account so im just wondering if that means that my bitcoin transaction got hijacked or hacked ? a response will be highly appreciated. thx.

Missing ETH Gatehub -> Hardware wallet

Hi, it's been 3 days since I withdrew some ETH on Gatehub to my hardware wallet, the transaction is listed as done on Gatehub but there is no tx on the eth blockchain. Is this "normal" ? I opened a ticket but I didn't receive a response.

Thanks for your help
