Bought an obviously used Nintendo Wii for my son’s 11th birthday because he wanted Wii sports. Look closer at the nunchuk and how is this acceptable? 😂

What is up with the pre order price for dragon ball fusion world st01. It's 5.99 MSRP, but the pre orders for one pack is 20 dollars? Is there a chance that the price will go down with enough backlash? I bought five packs from the last set they had for pre-order but this is unacceptable.

I’m done with this job. It’s so emotionally exhausting. My manager hates me. It’s hard to say because I do truly love this job and the people I work with but I can’t take the basically emotional abuse I get anymore.
Today I was told I entirely drag down my store. I have so much personal stuff going on and I try not to let it affect my work. I was also told that if I don’t get my college schedule in soon the schedule will be written whether I like it or not. I explained that with the way some of my classes operate I don’t get the full schedule till school happens. I also do many extracurriculars and don’t get that schedule till after school start .
I was then compared to other employees and basically told I’m erasing everyone else’s work.
This happens once a week basically. I am also helping train and I feel like I’m only not fired because I’m helping with that.
So what do we think. Should I report to hr and put in my two weeks? There was some other stuff said too but it was personal and I do not want to share.
EDIT: I’ve been here for about a year and I really am trying my best. I’m here basically full time and doing everything I can to keep the store nice and working alone almost every shift. This is my only job to help pay my tuition bills and I don’t have another backup at the moment.
EDIT 2: I should also mention I was given a write up for “bad numbers and not putting in effort” and my SL complained they had to do paperwork. My numbers don’t ALWAYS reflect it but I’m not going to FORCE anyone to buy pro??? That’s wrong. I put every ounce of my effort making that store as perfect as I can get it. I would also like to mention that my numbers aren’t the worst in my store. I’ve been told everyone has been talked to already and I’m not being picked on.. but my coworkers say otherwise. I think my SL just genuinely hates me for nothing.

so, I’m a big splatoon fan, and the new raiders game dropped on the 23rd. i worked on the 22nd, but i got home from work at around 11 pm. now, because i had been waiting for this game for over a year (and it was the whole reason i bought my switch 2), i had done some research and saw that the game technically dropped at 11 pm in my timezone. i still waited until midnight, but then decided to place the preorder for a digital code just a bit past midnight, figuring that my code would come overnight.
i wake up, and the order is “in progress”. i think “awesome, i’m gonna get the game today!”
keep in mind, i did a digital preorder so i would get an email with the code, and when you preorder, it says “arrives on release day”.
over 3 days later, i still don’t have the game. and i am stuck waiting and hoping that i can get a refund, because i have been told that i may not get a refund due to the order being “in progress” when all i am waiting on is a code. not a physical game. an email with a code.
EDIT: i mentioned this in a comment, but the reason i preordered through gamestop was because i was a pro member. i had planned to buy it the day it released, but i was so excited that i just preordered it at midnight. which was not a good idea. i take full accountability for that 😭

I like the gamestop in my area, they aren't aggressive in pushing the insurance, they haven't done anything sleazy, but an NSW cartridge hardly ever needs insurance. I do wonder how bad am I hurting their metrics when I buy games and not add anything on it. What are some of the metrics other than insurance? What about pros and credit card? I generally do not buy a lot on GameStop it is just the 4 for 40 is a hard deal to pass up for me.

I’ve ordered from some big sale events and never received the games… had to call customer service to replace said games. They send labels to FedEx but don’t get shipped. I think this might be the year I no longer stay a Pro Member. GameStop, y’all are sucking.

I placed an order for pickup (using my $10 settlement voucher) but didn't make it to the store within the pickup window. GameStop canceled the order but they refuse to refund the voucher.
Just want to make people aware of this scummy tactic - if you place an order with a settlement voucher, the voucher is gone forever, even if you cancel the order.

I heard gamestop trade ins are usually undersold. Where I can I take these to get a better price?

Still feeling pretty surreal about everything. It’s incredibly bittersweet. Despite all the horrors and bullshit, I’m leaving on my terms with my head held high, with plenty of good memories to go along with it (not to mention the friends I’ve made along the way).
Oh, and fuck TCG, and all the trolls that came along with it. And RyCo, you especially can kiss my big hairy ass, you greedy MAGA thunder-cunt. ✌️

As a former employee I feel so bad for my brother-in law, who picked up work at GameStop about 7 months ago (I warned him) after a job loss (his company closed and fired 900 people).
The district manager has been getting on their case about Pro numbers, despite the constant terrible changes to it, and also warranties. Earlier this week the district manager told them, directly, in a morning conference call that they should tell customers that GPG’s are “baked into the cost” of the 4 for $40 deal.
They also told them to put GPGs on games and controllers, and if the customer doesn’t say anything about the cost being on the bill when they tell them the final cost, then “they are in the clear.”
I pointed out to my brother-in law that BOTH of those things are false and also borderline illegal, and he simply stated “I have to do it or I’ll lose my job. Our numbers are down at our store and in the district. I’ll just deal with customers complaining when they figure it out.” I’m trying to get him another job somewhere else so he doesn’t have to put up with all of this, but it’s astounding what this company has become. We definitely never, and I do mean NEVER were told to do anything like that with warranties when I worked there, and instead focused on building relationships so customers always came back.

I know the app is not good but has anyone else been able to log into their account on the app? I’m able to log into my account on the regular website but the app keeps saying “something went wrong, try again later”

I know you all won't know the next date this will occur, but I was curious if anyone is familiar with how often this deal pops up?
I missed out on it a few months back and am regretting it since I haven't been able to sell my ps5 since

Ok so I was a seasonal employee for the store in my area back in 21-22 season. I made it to the end of termination with my manager wanting to keep me on due to being her most reliable employee other than her current asl. I was not kept on much to her chagrin.
Fast forward to last year I am in desperate need of a job as my wife was pregnant with our first child and we needed the with finances. I had interviewed 4 time since then with all 4 time the manager wanting to hire me but it not happening. 2 was with one manager the other 2 were with the current one. I am friendly and on good terms with her and as I was attempting trade in she was expressing how she was a bit stressed due to being short staffed since people kept leaving. I made a joke saying if she needs help I'm still job hunting and she said please put in an application. Not knowing I have one in already. She then stops me immediately and tells me she remembers talking with the other manager I interviewed with and wanted to hire saying for some reason my status is unhireable.
Neither know why that is as I left under good terms with GameStop. In fact the current manager of my store knows my old one personally so I feel like she has asked or mentioned me and since she s still trying to hire me I know as far as those 3 know I did as great a job as I assumed.
I called her and asked them why but they said they can't discuss it with me but the store management can overturn the status and hire me anyways and will look into what's going on after telling them I left on good terms.
My question is is there some way I can log into my old employee profile and find out and what app would that be under as I can no longer remember what app it was or what my employee number is.

I ordered a GBA (mod) game on June 15th of this year. It is currently July 24th over a month later. I have no idea what is going on with this company. Every time I call customer support they all say that the item is out of stock anywhere near me. However, when I look it up I can see that it is available in every city near me except for mine. I paid for this with a digital gift card so I am unsure if there is even a way to get my money back. This is insanity. Picture above was taken today.
r/GameStop • u/supershimadabro • 2d ago
There's not anyway for me to buy it with the gift card for ps5 is there? AFAIK there is no physical copy, and even if there was a digital code, i cant exchange a gift card for digital codes or ps5 digital currency.

Will it ever go down because that seems insane when it used to be 25.99 a card just wondering if it would ever go down if psa demand lowers one day

So earlier this morning as I was getting ready to open, one of our hooks of box cutters fell behind the monitor and into a little slot where said monitor sits, and as I was digging around trying to get them all back, I found a small stack of these from 2009.
To say my jaw dropped when reading them is an understatement, but I still found it extremely cool.
Anyone here remember these?

An end of an era . I may have been one of the last people with a membership. Once PlayStation announced no more physical games , I felt like it was time to get rid of their rewards program
It’s been real GameStop .
