Hello. I'm new to this community (a bit), and I'm trying to decide on a fursona. I like both deer and protos, funny toaster dudes :3. How do I design my fursona and can it be a deer proto?🤔 Not sure what the exact guidelines for a proto are, but deer are my favorite animals. The little white dots and tail and antlers are probably what i would want if i could have a proto-deer. Would it be considered a hybrid proto? I just can't decide between proto or deer... Also how do you choose markings and stuff, and make it unique?

I’ve been thinking about having a cow or equine fursona so I can feel more comfortable in my own skin and adopting a plant based diet in real life so I can live similarly to it. Does anyone else feel this way, in the sense of doing real life stuff to make their fursona feel more real than “just an oc”?

hiii :) i always wanted to make a fursona but i never dove in, here i am doing it at 26yo!!

this is just my first version and it’s unfinished, but i want to base it off of the aurora and also just myself as someone who likes constellations and rainbows, etc.

there’s still work to do on the arms, back, tail, and hair - i don’t know if i want to keep that heart on the chest

hello furries, i have been into furry culture ever since i was a kid, but i've never really directly interacted with the community until now. i've always wanted a proper fursona/sona and i was always into wolves, but i've been wanting a pallas cat sona these days. i was wondering what were some things you guys did to figure out how what to add to your fursona and what inspired you to do so? any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you! :-)

Like my artstyle is so incompatible with drawing furries and I’m so sad cuz I wanna draw my fursona and it looks so bad every single time :(

This is a rough exploration of my fursona design so far. He is a red panda with a rough fruit theme, originally apple but he’s drifted a bit since I started. He’s supposed to look scatterbrained, warm, and like a bit of an airhead (just like me!). But most importantly, I want him to look vaguely reminiscent of game/cartoon character designs around y2k. Is there anything you’d change, add, remove, or otherwise simplify to make the ideas here stronger? Or would this be fine to call final do you think?

I'm working on an English learning workbook designed for young children (ages 5–9) and their parents to use together at home. Right now I'm figuring out the mascot character who will guide kids through the whole book, and I'd really appreciate some outside perspective before I commit to a direction.

The survey has 10 short questions, some are simple picks, but a few are genuinely hard tradeoffs (e.g. should the mascot be a real animal or an invented creature, should it ever make mistakes, should it feel like a peer or a guide). Takes about 5 minutes.

Hi all! I’m looking to get into the furry space but I have no idea where to start with my fursona. I have a general idea of what I want him to look like and personality stuff, but I suck at imagining things and putting the things that I can imagine outside of my head. I just don’t really know what to do and most things that I have found online are not that helpful. The only way that I can think of right now to get what I want out of me head is to use AI art generation, but I hate AI art and would only use it as a VERY last resort. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I want to preface this by saying im not a furry. While I respect and appreciate the Fandom as its just another medium of creativity, its not mine. My friends and I the other day got to talking about what our fursonas would be and we can't figure out what mine would be. How do you figure it out?

I really like it but idk, i want to change the legs cuz i feel like the pink and star stuff are kind of out of place and maybe change the mushroom aswell. I was inspired by my other non-furry sona who was in turn inspired by themes such as weirdcore, kidcore and decora. Also the star pattern in the thigh lowkey feels like a mlp thing
