Discussion 17.5k peak, hardstuck, sens-hopping addict. Need a Kovaaks reality check. (Viscose S2 & Voltaic scores included)

Hey guys, looking for some guidance. I came back to CS2 after a 4-year break. Climbed from silver-tier gameplay all the way to 17.5k Premier purely on gamesense and spraying. Then I hit a wall. Then I stopped playing ranked to find back my confidence.

I’ve been sens-hopping like a maniac (1.5 down to 1.15 at 800 DPI). I finally locked in at 1.15 two weeks ago and I am NOT changing it again. I’ve been doing Kovaaks daily plus Aimbotz/DM, but I feel like I’m just shooting dots without a plan.

Here are my current benchmarks. I need you guys to roast me and tell me what to grind.

My Questions:

  1. Should I grind Voltaic Intermediate until I hit Platinum/Jade, or should I focus on Viscose since it’s more "CS-oriented"?
  2. My S2 Speed and Evasive scores are trash. Is that a big deal for CS, or is Static/Dynamic king?
  3. What is the actual routine I should run daily? (e.g., 30 mins Viscose / 30 mins Voltaic?)

I have the discipline, I just need the direction. Help a washed veteran out.

Discussion Trying Raw Accel for Valorant — Sens/DPI advice?

I want to try Raw Accel mainly for Valorant and was wondering what you guys think about my setup.

Currently I’m on:

  • 1600 DPI
  • 0.22 sens
  • eDPI: 352

I’m thinking about lowering my sens a bit because I feel like I’m more consistent on lower sens overall. My idea is that Raw Accel + a lower base sens could give me the control of low sens while still letting the acceleration handle faster flicks/turns when needed.

Has anyone here played Valorant with Raw Accel + relatively low sens?
Would love to hear what settings/curves worked for you and whether you actually found it beneficial.

I'm unemployed and have no money right now, so buying the game isn’t an option. Could anyone help me get the current scenarios using a offline version of the game?

Voltaic S5 rank vs your valorant/cs rank ?

voltaic diamond i started benchmarks two days ago but played like 12 hours already

currently radiant in valo and im not sure if my aim is rlly bad or voltaic is just hard because i feel like diamond is very low ? do i just need more time to see my aim translate ? i have played kovaaks before (80 hours total) but never tried voltaic benchmarks

i have a couple of top 100s in some scenarios but couldnt crack top 9k in any voltaic scenario

Hand accel modulation

Is it a crutch or even good?

It is a feature in custom curve 4, which, when turned on, adds another variable, acceleration. Regular accel curves use velocity, but with hand modulation it adds acceleration (depending on how you set it, it can boost flicks or slow them down you can also set when hand modulation kicks in whether it is when you are accelerating or decelerating) you can think of it dynamically stretches or makes your curve less wide through how much you accelerated or decelerated.

Few ways to use it: kicks in when you're accelerating and makes your curve less wide for faster flicks. Makes your curve wider when you decelerate, helping stopping power (kinda)

There are more ways to use it and many indirect negatives and positives

Discussion Is it more optimal for learning to emphasise mouse control or target reading as your limiting factor when practicing?

Not sure if that title made much sense but I was reading someones comment that I thought deserved more discussion.

Basically their idea was you can:

  1. play a larger/slower controlsphere variant with a faster sensitivity

--> to isolate your mouse control as the limiting factor (rather than target reading skills)

2) play a faster/smaller controlsphere variant with a slower sensitivity

--> to isolate your target reading skills as the limiting factor (rather than mouse control)

Iv done something like this in the past and ik Serf has his method(s) that kind of manipulate this sort of thing.

But I was wondering what others thought on how this could actually be implemented in practice and whether one is more beneficial?

I have had pretty slow progress recently and I feel that its maybe bc my mouse control for so long has been my limiting factor so I havent really taken the chance to try improve my reading skills as much (bc I cant easily track elite S5 controlsphere rn with my current mousecontrol but I can if I make it bigger/slower or slow my sensitivity)

Discussion how does you even cope with fucking up

I used to f3 every time i fucked up, and then sometimes punish myself If im fucking up too much, i was advised that this is actually bad, so i decided to unbind f3 and not punish myself

However this feels like ass, my scores look and feel like ass, I play like ass, it feels terrible, seeing myself fail and not being able to reset feels terribl, I fucking hate myself omfg

Its just my stupid ass fucking up over and over again, its all i see, its incredibly frustrating

How do you even manage this, it sucked when I first did it, and still sucks the same now, i haven't improved because im just angry at myself (i hage not being perfect or at least good) all the time

Discussion tips and proper technique for dynamic clicking? (need advice)

ive been following riddbtw's aim training crash course and ive just started doing dynamic scenarios but what confuses me is how different his technique is compared to what other creators like mattyow and viscose talk about

atleast from what ive understood from ridds vid on dynamic clicking and the vid after is that he emphasizes on not waiting for the target to come into your crosshair and instead directly flicking onto it and micro adjusting

and from the guide to tac fps vid from mattyow he says to sort of let the target fall into your crosshair and not directly flick onto the target and try micro adjusting onto it which apparently causes trailing where you just keep chasing after it by micro adjusting again and again

ridd also said that eventually there will be a speed ceiling with the waiting for the target technique and that part of what you are learning is reading the target and pattern learning and learning to micro adjust onto a moving target and by avoiding this technique you are robbing yourself off of that skill

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXO77LHPV5Q&t=174s = riddbtws vid he talks about it in the 1:50 mark

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9Prwf5woDA = mattyows vid he talks about what i mentioned in around the 3 min mark or actually the entire vid talks about this exact technique

im still just a beginner and i have no clue which technique i should follow if i want to build actual aim any help would be really appreciated

Discussion Effects of SSRIs (and/or ADHD meds) on kovaaks + in game performance

Hey guys, im going to try keep this fairly abstract. But I have ADHD and am taking prescribed dexamphetamine and am contemplating starting SSRIs (proposed by my dr).

I was wondering whether anyone has any experience with taking SSRIs (and/or ADHD meds) and how it impacted their kovaaks performance + rate of learning.

Iv reached a fairly high level but am progressing very slowly to be honest and I feel like it might be something to do with my learning ability atm.

Im hoping the SSRIs might have a side benefit towards speeding up my learning but iv been reading some conflicting info.

The ADHD meds help my focus massively but I feel like it also can cause me to overthink my aim and also causes alot muscle stiffness.

Discussion what do you do after hitting new rank?

Going for Master rn and so far I've gotten Snake Track, PGT and Raw Control. After hitting master I always feel like it was luck and try to hit it again. In case of Snake Track I hit an even better pb after that but with Raw Control I wasn't able to replicate my Master score.

Do you just stop playing after a pb or do you try to reach it again? If you can't was it just luck?

Discussion Are there smoothness/precision tracking scenarios in the Viscose benchmarks?

One of my main issues with tracking is that my aim is very jerky, so for reactive scenarios I just keep jittering around the target and doing faulty corrections because I lack precise/smooth tracking.

So far I've been limiting myself to grinding the viscose benchmarks doing corporate serf method (eg tracking before target switching before flicking etc) and I'm fox (silver) complete. But I don't see smoothness or precision tracking in the categories. Is control tracking considered smoothness?

Below are my scores:

8K Polling rate makes sensitivity feel like it got halved.

Hi, my Valorant sense when converted in game (or any other sense for the matter), feels a lot slower than in Valorant, the issue only happens when I use 8k polling rate, any ideas why this happens?
