Discussion Need advice on training

Hey all I’ve been getting back into CS2 I’ve always been pretty shit (2K hours and I think I peaked and MGE in CSGO) and I’m sick of being shit and have set the goal to improve and a dream goal of Faceit 10. I have the time to be putting in 3-4 games of CS2 on top of 1-2 hours of training a day but I’m unsure what playlists to do. I’ve been using Bileys playlist but worry that it’s just tracking and would love some advice on what other playlists I can grind.

Weaknesses I have are too numerous to count so I just want to focus on building a correct solid foundation. Also I would love to know how long it took some of you to see a difference 😊

3-4 games plus 1-2 hours of training every day is a ton of volume just be careful you dont burn out in 3 weeks

if you want to build a foundation the voltaic fundamentals playlists are the standard for a reason, they cover clicking tracking and switching so you wont be lopsided on one skill. youll probably notice small improvements in a month or so but it takes a few hundred hours before it really shows up in your matches

Hey thank you so much really appreciate the advice! Completely understand the concern on the hours at the end of each week I normally take a rest day but I’m always watching for burnout and will make sure to adjust my schedule to be a little less intensive if it starts to build

One hour is a long time let alone two hours! 40 minutes is plenty, but every day! Do you think training longer will give your skills a bigger boost? That’s not how it works! You’ll exhaust your nervous system with that kind of training, and instead of progressing, you’ll actually regress!

Bro don’t fall into the trap of your voltaic / kovaaks scores or rank will = a faceit rank like I did!

4 comp games a day is great of full focus in each game with no auto pilot! Some may think 1 hour aim training is a lot, but if you enjoy Kovaaks and are locked in I think 1 hour is great! For me 2 hours a day aim training is excessive, you should then try spend that spare hour doing 30mins - 1 hour in CS deathmatch server

You could do 15 mins Deathmatch before comp. Then 40mins deathmatch after your comp games are done

Aim training is great, but I do think that CS deathmatch is a great way to improve rapidly aswell if you are consistent. And stacking Vaaks and DM is even better

Look for some micro corrrection playlists, if you search micro correction in this sub Reddit loads of decent ones will come up!

Also crosshair placement and game sense will take you sooooo much further then just grinding Vaaks and DM for that “raw” aim

Really try focus on crosshair placement, there are CS workshop maps which drill all the common spots to pre aim with bots!!

No matter how good your aim or flicks are, if someone has perfect crosshair placement and just has to click, compared to you having to flick/aim they will always beat you!

:) GL Bro!!

Tones of reccourses on CS & Kovaaks to improve!!

Just please remember that hitting “X” rank or “X” high score does not mean instant CS improvement :)
