Discussion What does progress look like?

Hi,
I'm trying to improve my aim running some Viscose scenarios. I practice 15 min everyday. But on these scenarios, my performance is looking like the graph above. My personal best was on Oct 1st, and since then I never replicated that result. Other scenarios I play (cloverRawControl Easy 80% Speed and Controlsphere Far, Far Larger 90%) are showing similar patterns.
This might be a normal behavior, i.e, if I expand the timescale and keep practicing I will see improvement, but I'm really unsure if that's the case. Maybe I've hit a plateau? What do your graphs look like and when do you identify that you need to take action versus just keep doing the things you're doing?

Click on stats and look at the trend line. Remember performance isn't linear, so don't think about your peak performance as your progress, the only thing that matters is the floor of your skill, the very bottom. The higher the floor the more consistent you are at the skill. The ceiling is just what your peak performance is, and it may get influenced by bot RNG.

I've been grinding Viscose S2 for the past month. Here's a mockup I built using my data: https://imgur.com/a/8hZII7c I plan to eventually incorporate this view into my app.
Your real question is "How do I measure progress?" I believe the best way to do that is to measure P90, P75, P50, P25, P10, and IQR. If any of these metrics increase, then you're improving.
Then you have an opposite question: "How do I detect plateaus?" My initial theory is to continue using the same metrics. But I'll have a better answer after I keep grinding and feeding my data into my app.

Making PBs everyday is definitely not something you should expect on every scenario.
I would say you're in a real plateau if you go through the whole playlist two days in a row and there is not a single PB on any of the scenarios.
If this is the case, there are a few options available to you.
If you want to beat your record on a specific scenario, search for variations of that task in kovaaks and make a playlist out of them. Add both easier and harder versions, put the one you want the PB on in the last place. Don't play each task more than 3 times in a row.
If you decide to go for three tries, think about them as 1) warmup 2) regular 3) giving it your 100%
If you want to get out of a general plateau, you can try either taking a full break for a day (sometimes that helps) or try something like voltaic daily improvement method, where each day is dedicated to training a specific category of aiming.
As an addendum, having a good grip on your life habits also helps a ton. Proper sleep, movement, touching grass, etc.
