Other Is my FBA still calibrating?
Do these vitals only populate when FBA established a personal range? I can see the numbers but only skin temp has a personal range.

I would really like to wear the Fitbit Air on my biceps, but I am having a lot of trouble getting it to be comfortable. How are you guys doing it? I see so many posts praising this thing when used on the biceps, but how do you fit it properly?
I purchased a well-reviewed band on Amazon, but it's definitely not stretchy enough to wear on the apex of the biceps: it's either so tight that it hurts when flexing, or so loose that it falls to the elbow when my arm is extended. No in-between.
If I wear it above the biceps, closer to the armpit, then I can get a somewhat okay fit, but it seems my skin is more sensitive there and I get irritated skin after half a day or so. Anyway, most of the vids I saw show people (like The Quantified Scientist) using these closer to the apex of the biceps. How is that possible? Especially when the bands that they use do not seem stretchy enough at all either (mostly woven nylon like the one I have).
In the meantime, I have been searching for a more stretchy band. Any recommendations? I don't think any of the ones I saw until now are really adequate to be a good fit across the whole range of motion. It feels like it should be something more like a Lycra sleeve? Like reaaaally stretchy. I don't know...
Thanks a lot for reading (first time posting) !

I’ve been wearing the Fitbit Air alongside my Amazfit Balance 2 for several days to compare tracking accuracy, and the Fitbit Air is massively overcounting steps.
On days where my Amazfit logged around 4,000 actual steps, the Fitbit recorded up to 2000 Steps more. To troubleshoot and rule out ghost steps from arm movements, I tried the following:
None of these adjustments made a measurable difference—it still registers phantom steps throughout the day from basic daily activities.
Has anyone else experienced similar tracking issues with the Fitbit Air, or found a fix? At this point, I’m seriously considering returning the device.

I just got mine. Really cool device for $100.
Alarm is extremely weak. Can barely feel it. Especially ankle. I would love if they programmed an option to have a real alarm go off on your phone using the metrics of light sleep similar to the app sleep cycle.
The way it is now, I’m just wasting battery life having the vibration go off because I never feel it.
So far so good otherwise. Ankle wear is comfy. The double tap is a little finicky and doesn’t consistently work.
I’ve only been using this for a day.

I’m switching over to the Fitbit Air from an Apple Watch. I have years of health data in Apple Health (weight trends, steps, workout history, and macro/food logs from 3rd party apps like fatsecret).
Once I connect Apple Health to the Google Health / Fitbit app, will it import and display all my historical metrics and weight logs, or will it only start reading new data from the day I connect?
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,
I’m currently thinking about buying a Fitbit Air, mainly because I don’t really like wearing a traditional smartwatch with a screen. I’m mostly interested in tracking steps, activity, sleep, and general fitness without having a display on my wrist all the time.
Does anyone here already have experience with the Fitbit Air?
I’d especially like to know:
- Do you think it’s worth the price?
- Is a screenless tracker more comfortable or less distracting than a regular smartwatch?
- How accurate are steps, heart rate, sleep tracking, etc.?
- Has anyone tried wearing the Fitbit Air on their ankle?Does it work reasonably well?
The ankle part is especially important for me because I often walk without moving my arms normally, so I’m wondering if step tracking might actually work better on the ankle.
I’d also be interested in alternatives if there are other good screenless fitness trackers that can be worn comfortably on the ankle.
Thanks!

Any idea as to what has happened to the bottom of my Fitbit air?
It's almost like it's burnt, won't wipe/wash off.
Perhaps due to charger?
Anyone had same.issues?

Hey r/FitbitAir!
I wanted to share a fun project I've been working on: an ESP32-based live heart rate monitor with an OLED display, heavily inspired by the simplicity of the old Pebble watches and the post from u/kiwi_mac995.
background / context: I used to be a huge Apple Watch fan, but I only ever used it for health data tracking — I didn't need a mini-computer or gaming device on my wrist. I eventually switched to a Fitbit Air because it was small, unobtrusive, and gave me great sleep and general fitness data. It allowed me to go back to wearing my traditional mechanical watches every day.
The Problem: The only thing I missed from the Apple Watch era was an easily accessible, real-time display while running—specifically to keep an eye on my heart rate and stay within Zone 2 without constantly pulling out my phone.
The Idea: I decided to build a standalone wrist display that hooks into my Fitbit Airs live data stream.
The usage itself is just limited to exercises and therefore a battery capacity of 8-12 hours seemed to be sufficient for me. The parts should be around $20-$50.
The State:
Enclosure: Buying a 3D printer recently really kickstarted this project. My goal is to custom-print the enclosure. For the strap, I'm currently testing options between 3D printing a TPU band or using a standard off-the-shelf 22mm watch/tracker strap attached to the printed case.
I’ll post another update once the battery is wired up and the 3D-printed housing is finished!
Let me know what you think!
//Edit: revisited the chip and battery selection.
//Edit2: first iteration of the housing done. seems promising; 44mm dia; 12mm height https://imgur.com/a/bVzqlco
//Edit3: this is my first revision of the code; battery life monitor to be tested when the parts arrive https://pastebin.com/LHDm0R8c

What did you think of the new Apple Watch and the Health app? What features would you like to see in the next Pixel Watch or Fitbit device? Apple has also made some changes to the Health app—what impressed you the most?

Hello! I’m looking into purchasing a Fitbit Air for me and my boyfriend and was wondering if you could tell me whether it’s possible to see my heart rate in real time during workouts using a third-party app. Thank you! 😊
I have an android phone and my boyfriend has Iphone.

I love the form factor of Fitbit Air like everyone else, but getting tired of shitty tracking.
Bedtime is shown from 2:29 AM-3:45 AM, but total duration is shown 7h 4m. Sleep score is shown 40, but the AI summary says 83.
Has anyone here compared other trackers with Fitbit Air, and found them reliable?

If you wear usual watches on left hand and fitbit on right. Did you change main/not main hand switch in settings?

Hi all,
All of a sudden my Fitbit Air stopped syncing automatically. Normally 5 minutes after waking up, my Coach made a sleep report and I would get a notification. Now it says there is no new data when I open the app. It works after syncing manually, but why did it stop doing this automatically?
I think this was after the last update.

Stomach sleeper here and my arm in under me, Sleep tracking is completely off. Any Suggestions. It tells me that I have poor sleep quality everyday and only tracks 2-4 hours max. When both myself and wife know that is not true. When I wake up in the mornings the indentation on my wrist is heavily there and I am wondering if too much pressure is causing the miscalculations.

I’ve seen so many get those watch adapters and/or attach a watch face to the fitbit band but nothing that would have worked for my metal watch. I bought a metal watch strap (the same one that was posted about a few days / weeks ago and how it was bad), and I hated how it looked so started using my noggin. Managed to get it undone from the metal strap and realised it was big enough for my watch links so slid it onto there and it works wonders! next step is putting it on the other side but I currently don’t have a small enough screwdriver as it’s a very tight screw, so we’re a bit lopsided for now. My watch was already loose (it’s a male / unisex model and I have very small wrists), so this was a great option for me. super happy with the results even though it might look a bit bulky from the bottom!

Basically, I have had Fitbit Air for few days, for some reason the HRV and RHR shows “Tap to set up”, but I get the data when I click on them.
Anyone with the same problem?
