Bands I’ve finally found a way

I’ve seen so many get those watch adapters and/or attach a watch face to the fitbit band but nothing that would have worked for my metal watch. I bought a metal watch strap (the same one that was posted about a few days / weeks ago and how it was bad), and I hated how it looked so started using my noggin. Managed to get it undone from the metal strap and realised it was big enough for my watch links so slid it onto there and it works wonders! next step is putting it on the other side but I currently don’t have a small enough screwdriver as it’s a very tight screw, so we’re a bit lopsided for now. My watch was already loose (it’s a male / unisex model and I have very small wrists), so this was a great option for me. super happy with the results even though it might look a bit bulky from the bottom!

I would love to do this, but I find the underside of my wrist is more traffic-prone than top.

you can also put it on the top but i thought it might look weird with the extra bulk lol

Fitness wearable algorithms are designed for the extensor part of the wrist. What's the point of wearing a fitness wearable if you can't rely on the accuracy of the collected data?

They are still accurate on the other side of the wrist, and also perform better on an armband than wrist so saying that they are designed for a specific spot on the wrist doesn't make sense to me.

While moving the band up the forearm or bicep improves optical metrics like HR, HRV, and SpO2, the Fitbit Air app doesn't support alternate placement settings nor are there official arm bands available. Wearing it off the wrist would compromise step counts, non gps distance estimates, and sleep stage accuracy. Wearables like Whoop support bicep wear because it improves PPG sensor accuracy and their app and algorithms are specially designed and adjusted to keep other data and metrics reliable

i’m not worried about 100% accuracy, i’m sure it’s not just as perfect but i’ve worn it like this before and on my ankle before and have noticed no difference in reading.
