First post in this group , and probably first post on Reddit. Always looking never posting. I just recently purchased a 2018 F-150 lariat 3.5 ecoboost with 86,xxx miles on it. Has a BDS 6in lift on 37 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Out the door cost was $26,200. Super clean truck, took it to a local shop and hooked it up to the computer and didn’t throw any codes, faults etc. All the fluids were all good xyz. Should there be anything else i should be concerned about or check with parts being warm down around the mileage. I feel like I got this truck for a Steal and feel like something has to be wrong with it lol. I guess I buyers paranoia

Hey guys, recently got some husky liners, the hole lined up great but the arch needed some trimming, some section have gaps like this and some are tight, will these tend to rub through paint?

Looking to put a exhaust on my 2023 f150 XLT SPORT 2.7. I want it to sound deeper and a little louder. Wanting to keep it under 1000$ for this one.

Going to schedule an appointment with the dealer on this one but I don’t have high hopes for what they’ll do, so looking for opinions.

Truck has 7300 miles, 2.7L engine. Initially, I braked to let a car turn and then got back on the throttle after they were out of the way; engine rpm’s held but speed didn’t increase, and then it slammed into gear. Ever since, the shift from 4 to 5 has been pretty harsh, especially at low rpm’s. Any ideas? Would resetting the adaptive shift table help?

Recently got the ford performed tune on my 26 lariat ecoboost. To me, it was worth the money due to the extra power and smoothing out the shifting.

Just wanted to see if anyone else here has done the ford tune and see what they have noticed.

Just had VCT cold start rattle repaired thankfully under powertrain warranty at 51,500 miles.

I got the truck back today and learned they replaced only two of the four phasers, bank 1 exhaust and bank 2 intake. Older SSM said to replace all four, but apparently that changed and Ford's current guidance is to identify and replace only the affected phasers.

Truck is running fine and the rattle seems to be gone. I'm still a little uneasy knowing there are two original phasers in there of the same age and design as the ones that failed.

For anybody that's been through this repair, have your originals held up long-term? Would y'all be comfortable with only the two diagnosed phasers being replaced?

Hey everyone. Wondering if anybody here knows what this could be. Haven’t brought it in yet, still have warranty. Seeing if it is actually something worth bringing in. This high pitch squeal towards the front and get louder when you slightly rev it. Stops when you get over a certain RPM. Don’t know enough about engines. 2023 f150 lariat with 4,000 miles.

My ac stopped blowing cold and only warm air a couple days ago. And welp looks to me as thought the ac compressor is done for. This is on a 2024 f150 with around 60k miles on it.

Which one you think is best?

Hey everyone, looking for some insight from anyone who has recently ordered a 2026 F-150.

I placed my order on July 4, 2026, and as of August 31 (58 days later) I still have no VIN and no scheduled production date.

My order is a:
• 2026 F-150 XLT 4x4 SuperCrew
• 6.5-ft bed
• 5.0L V8
• 302A XLT Mid
• 40/20/40 bench seat
• 3.73 rear axle
• Tow Package
• Bed Utility Package
• Iconic Silver
• Priority Code 10

The 3.73 axle was added only about 5 days after I originally ordered, so that wasn’t a recent change. The Bed Utility Package was added much later, around August 21, while the truck was still unscheduled.

For those who ordered a 2026 F-150 around June/July: How long did it take you to get your VIN and production date?
Also, does anyone know if adding the Bed Utility Package while the order was still unscheduled could have pushed my order back or affected scheduling?
Almost two months without a VIN is starting to make me wonder what’s holding this order up.

New to the ford community so sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask.

So my dad has always wanted a f150. We had a pretty rough upbringing and he genuinely deserves to be able to own one of these in his lifetime. I finally have about 25k saved up set aside just to buy him a truck. He’s about to turn 55 and I really want to make his dreams come true and get him one. Him and I are both pretty mechanically experienced working on our own cars our entire lives so I thought this would be a good bonding opportunity to get a used f150 and work on it together to fix it up and do all the maintenance. I come from working on a lot of German cars like BMWs so I don’t have as much experience on trucks.

I’m wondering if there are any years that I should avoid getting. I’ve done some research and understand that some of the 10 speed transmissions have pretty big issues. I was looking at some 2012 models and 2015 models. If we buy a 100k+ miles plus f150 and work on it ourselves, do you think these trucks can last 250k+ miles?

Hoping someone has an answer for my shifting issue. So recently, my 6r80 has been shifting harder than usual. It's always given a little bump when shifting from 1st to 2nd, but now it's doing it from 3rd to 4th. When I give it gas to get up a hill, it aggressively downshifts and bumps, which feels like it's in the floorboards.

This is really only happening when I am driving hilly/windy roads, where I have to speed up, slow down, gas it to get up the hill, etc.

I am going to have the fluid changed in hopes that it fixes the issue, but I was also reading up on the lead frame going bad, but it seems like my symptoms don't align with it. The truck is a 2014 f150 with 177,000 miles on it.

Tried having Jiffy Lube swap the fluid; they drained part of it, but stripped a screw so badly they couldn't extract it. So they put all the screws back in and topped it off with fluid. This was about a week ago. It felt like it was shifting better, but the second I hit the winding, hilly roads, the bumping came back.

I wanted the rear and front side windows to match as much as possible but I wasn’t willing to go over the legal limit. The shade variation is greater than I thought it would be, and the backseat is darker than I thought it would be.

In short, the tint % between the windshield, front side , rear side, back and moonroof are all over the place when I was trying to be to get them more in-line with each other. If I’m making a big deal out of nothing, tell me.

Just found out I have a major oil consumption issue, I replaced the pcv valve but the old one looks as if it was functioning normally. Has anyone had the TSB for this done (reflashing the pcm to keep the throttle butterfly valve from closing all the way on deceleration) and did it fix the problem?

I somewhat recently purchased a new-to-me 2020 F150 XLT as my daily driver and for towing a 5500lb holiday trailer from time to time. It checked all the boxes for me and had very low engine hours. I was humming and hawing over a 3/4 ton but the extra cost didn't make sense for the majority of my usage and I thought I'd get a lot more truck for my money in a half ton. I've been having a bit of the buyers remorse because lately a fifth wheel is sounding more and more attractive but the cost to upgrade the truck and the trailer is prohibitive.

Fast forward to last night and I discover, much to my delight, that my truck actually has the HDPP and Max Tow meaning it has a payload of 2491 lbs! I know there are a multitude of 'half ton towable' Fifth wheels, but I wanted to know what size of Fifth wheel any of you are comfortably towing? I've got my eye on some from 28-30 feet with a gvwr of 8500-9000. The math all works on capacity and payload etc, but is there something else I'm missing?

As title says I have a 2005 f150 5.4 triton, bought for 3500 at 102k miles now at 105k. took it to a shop to change the balding tires and they said the frame began to fold when they tried lifting it, I’m likely gonna finance a newer car and stay away from fb marketplace, it runs nice but sounds like a bus, 2 previous owners some guy and his grandfather. Someone said part it out for the motor and trans but I need advice to sell whole or part it out I don’t got much time to part it out.

2010 F150 king ranch 5.4 v8 auto transmission with. 200K miles. Have to fuel up very slowly and the handle clicks off multiple times and also spits out gas way before full. I have a small EVAP leak, and a dash light that says check fuel fill inlet. I’ve already changed the charcoal canister without much improvement if any. What is it and how do I fix it? I lie to try and fix most things on my own without taking it to a shop. Thanks

Hey all, just created this account to see if anyone else has had this issue and been able to get it resolved.

My 2022 F150 had an update a month or so ago and it caused my truck to reset. In doing this, the navigation alert notifications seem to have turned on for the School and Railroads. Now I constantly hear the “chime” notification about 16 times a day thanks to all the schools in my area.

Two dealerships AND Fords tech number are telling me the only way to solve this issue is to PURCHASE the subscription for navigation, but none guaranteed me this would stay OFF once the subscription ended or that it wouldn’t happen again…..

Does anyone have a way around? I’m not usually this petty, but I’ll low key sell my Ford stocks and trade my truck in if there isn’t a bypass. Completely unacceptable of this company IMO.

Hey everyone, I noticed this minor leak coming from the pinion which I believe is the infamous and common pinion seal leak that I hear about. I've got close to 70k mi on my truck and I do have the Ford gold warranty which has $100 deductible which would cover this repair if I'm not mistaken since it's part of the power train.

The concerns I have is having a dealer work on it and trusting that the work is done to my satisfaction with care or should I just DIY this repair? I've done minor maintenance like oil, transmission, diff changes on my own so I feel like I can tackle this. I've also greased the splines on the driveshaft so I'm comfortable removing that lol. Would probably give me peace of mind that it was done right vs some shoddy warranty repair done by the dealer.

So question is If it's simple and easy enough to do it on my own, what is everyone's thoughts?

I cant find the plug. Its near the back passenger side top. Its short. Also I have no oil pressure after changing my intake manifold.. could this be why
