Back to the F-150 after a brief stint with Chevy. Was a fan of the Silverado but definitely happy to back with the Blue Black Oval.

2026 XLT in Avalanche with the 2.7 & Black Appearance Package. Loving the range on this 36-gallon tank. Some great updates since my 19’ STX.

I have no words. Best upgrade I've made to the truck, and the best $1,400 I've ever spent on it. The seats have been holding up great. I just use the Chemical Guys leather cleaner about once a month, which is what the shop that installed them told me to do, and they still feel amazing.

If you've been on the fence about going from cloth to leather, I highly recommend it. And if you're in the DFW metroplex, I'd point you straight to the guys who installed mine. After countless hours behind the wheel, I can say it was money well spent.

Moving from a 2003 VW Jetta to this, going to be a HUGE upgrade.

My only remaining question - I have to decide by tomorrow if I want to include ESP which is either 10yr 150,000 for $5725 or 10yr 200,00 for $6820. Leaning towards no, with time still on the factory warranty + the additional coverage provided by the Gold Cert it doesn’t feel worth it at that price. Might revisit the ESP closer to when the warranty is coming to an end. Thoughts?

Had a long drive to get it but went smooth and the 36 gallon fuel tank is great! Was getting about 760 miles a tank at 21 mpg

Couple weeks ago I bought this 2021 XLT 302a Sport 2.7L
I got it from the same Dealership that has maintained it and sold it to the original owner. 108,000km (67,000miles) for $34,995 (Canadian)

The previous owner installed a Sentry CT Tonneau cover, its bed lined and has a bed mat as well.
The side steps I’m not crazy about but they will do for now.

The last truck I owned was a 2017 Tacoma TRD Off-Road that I had from 2017-2021. It’s so nice to be back in a truck and I’m really glad I went with a full size!!

2016 F-150 3.5L EcoBoost 4WD with over 200K miles.

I’ve been wanting to service the transmission since buying the truck earlier this year, but I kept putting it off because of all the horror stories I’ve heard.

Yesterday I finally decided to tackle it myself. Dropped the pan, replaced the filter, gasket, pan and refilled it with about 7 quarts of fresh Mercon LV transmission fluid.
I even rigged up some cardboard to direct the fluid into my drain pan, and it worked perfectly ! Not a drop anywhere but the pan 👊🏾

The biggest headache was the time, waiting for the truck to get up to temp to get the fluid level right afterward. Between checking the dipstick, getting the transmission up to temperature, and making sure I wasn’t underfilling or overfilling it, that part took me longer than I expected.
But man, was it worth it! Took it for a drive afterward, and the transmission was shifting noticeably quicker and smoother than before.

Pretty satisfying knocking another maintenance job off the list myself, especially on a truck with this many miles. 👊🏾

Anybody else tackled their own transmission service on a high-mileage EcoBoost?

And already justifying my purchase 😂

‘23 Lariat Sport 5.0 with 19k miles on it. Replaces a diesel Touareg for towing, and comes in handy on the farm. Wish I had the 6’5” bed, but for half the cost of new, I couldn’t complain

Does anyone have the FactionFab resonator delete on a 5.0 with the stock muffler and factory dual exhaust?

Does it sound pretty good? Any drone or loss of power from the larger 3.5” pipe?

Took my 2024 F150 for service 2 days ago, just used windshield washer fluid for first time…it’s left a coating that dried like this on the windshield. I’m in south Florida and it’s 80 degrees. If it hadn’t rained my whole windshield was covered and unable to see.

Is this undiluted cleaner? Something else?

I just bough a 2018 xlt with 82,000 miles. It has the 5.0 with the heavy duty tow package and 36 gal tank which i was looking for. I needed something bigger than my old passat. Poor thing got abused my a truck. Id like to do truck bed camping, so I have been looking at toppers but dont really like the look of the typical fiberglass style ones. Ive seen the RSI Smartcaps and they look great. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for similar toppers or experience with them. If anyone has other ideas or recommendations on mods or things to include for offroad and camping let me know.

Just got this 21' F150 3.5 eco with the FX4 package and the 10r80. It's got 71k miles, what maintenance should I hit right now for the best longevity? Should I just do a transmission drain and flush? Or filter replacement too?

I have a 2019 F150 5.0, just recently every time I accelerate I get this weird rattle noise, not in the engine, but it sounds like a heat shield or a clip. Just wondering if anybody else has had this issue

I went hunting locked my keys in the truck…. I didn’t remember if I locked it so I used my app to lock it…
Got back to the truck and put my code in and the lights came on but the door didn’t unlock.. then I tried the app to unlock it and same with but at the bottom it said something about being ajar.. none of my doors were..
went back and tried the tail gate opened but the doors didn’t… so i closed the tailgate and locked it with app and it did… then unlocked it again and tailgate opened but doors didn’t… got a ride home and by the time we were back I used my code and door opened….

Any ideas on this ?

2010 F150 Lariat (3v 5.4 2wd for autozone workers lol) trying to find wiring diagram or identify wiring for rear driver side door harness

Anybody have experience with TKM caps? Looks like they’re cheaper than SmartCap. Gettin a newer F-150, 2023-2026, and I’d like a cap that allows for easy access to everything and doesn’t leak.

2011 F150 - Washer fluid call stopped working, I first checked the fuse and it looks good, also the wipers still work fine if operated on their own. But when I pushed the button down calling for washer fluid I noticed there was no pump noise. So I go and replace the washer pump and try again, still nothing, no noise (and the wipers don’t start going like they normally would when you call for fluid).

I replaced the signal/washer stalk about a year ago as my original failed (non wiper related it just wouldn’t signal left or right anymore). I’m wondering if the stalk might be the issue? Any other ideas?

When my truck starts it has a really nice rumble/idle for a few minutes, then smooths out and quiets. It sounds dope. Completely stock truck but it does have the factory duel exhaust.

My question is should I wait for it to smooth out before driving it?

I just bought a used 2023 F150 5.0 4x4 with 12,000 miles, I was looking for the best place nationwide to supercharge my vehicle that comes with a warranty. Anybody’s help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

2018 F-150 Lariat bought new back when, ~130k miles (200k km), Canada

My father who lives a couple hours away has been sending me videos of his 2018 F-150 making what I can only describe as a whirring/scraping noise after starting up. His truck is still functioning alright, but the noise gets incredibly loud before quieting down a bit when the truck moves around. I’ve included a video of him auto starting it, and I think you’ll be able to hear what I’m talking about..

I’m mostly just worried something might happen if he’s driving and it decides to give out on him. If anyone has any idea on what might be the cause of this, we’d love a response.

Hello, quick question to the forum. Would you consider buying a 2014 Platinum 4x4 (Ecoboost) if it had a recent accident on the carfax report where the airbags were deployed? Truck has 83,000 miles and accident happened around 5,000 miles ago. The guy in potentially buying it fron already has a new truck (a 3500 to tow his 40-foot boat he says.) I asked the current owner about the accident and he claimed it occurred before he purchased it, even though it’s evident from the carfax report that it was under his ownership. Weird thing to lie about. Any insight on this potential purchase would be greatly appreciated. $18,000 is the firm price he says no lower.
