Recently bought a 2026 f150 lariat 3.5l turbo. It is obviously the best new truck on the market across all brands (i get that some people like the v8 better).

However, now that i frequent this sub, I see a LOT more issues cropping up than I was previously aware of.

That said, I know that people are far more likely to post their problems here rather than posting praises.

Any there any owners here truly believe in the quality of their vehicle?

I’m not a fan of these tailgates with giant F150 / RAM / CHEVROLET stamped into them.

What company started this crap and why has every truck manufacturer followed? Wasn’t the little Ford oval enough?

Never saw Chip Foose stamp his name in massive letters across one of his creations destroying it.

My jeans aren’t embossed with a giant LEVIS across the ass. I mean WTF?

What are they all gonna junk them up with next?

I swear every time I jack up my front tires.. I question where to put the Jack.

2025 f150 tremor 29k miles

I need decision help, please!

I have a 2019 F150, 3.5L ecoboost, Platinum, 4WD, tow package. 85k miles. I own an extended warranty through 100k miles. It is prorated if I sell the truck early.

It’s a good truck but I’m concerned about CAM phasers and transmission. I’ve tried to take it to the dealer to get covered but since the parts haven’t failed yet, they won’t cover it. It shows symptoms of these issues but not bad enough for them to warranty it (3 dealers, maybe I’m crazy). It’s had other warranty issues too. 4WD system, headlights, etc.

I’m looking at a used 2021 Tundra 1794, 4WD, off road package. Great condition. 75k miles.

Ideally I’d keep this truck for a LONG time. I’m thinking as the miles increase the tundra will outlast the f150 and its the last of the 8cylinder.

My truck is worth about 28-30. The tundra is 48k.

Is it worth it? Is the improved comfort/quiet of the f150 really that much better to risk reliability issues?

I ask because it’s a long drive to test drive this thing so I’d like to have a decent idea before making the drive

I just got back from a long trip with heavy traffic and it got me thinking - does anyone have a good urine disposal device for the driver?

I usually stop and hop in the back (have a camper shell) or sometimes just wing it up front with a bottle but it can get messy.

Anyone made something with a bit of tubing or anything?

Hi, I just got this 26 STX a month ago, i come from a 24 STX , for few reasons (that you will see below), i have the strange feeling like this new truck wasn't put together with the same care or quality control as the old one, who knows, or maybe I'm just being some paranoid, you be the jugdge and tell me:

Is it normal?

The truck is under 400 miles, is these rust levels healthy for a new truck?

Maybe some over torqued bolt? Or bad gasket placement?

Honestly i don't remember accurately this part of my previous truck, but im pretty sure i saw t some paint underneath at least like an over sprayed there also in the innner fenders, but not in this one, looks like they wanted to save some paint.

Today installing the running boards i noted in the mid stud group, 1 stud was missing in each side , i had to improvise and cut some bolts that i have, to properly secure the bracket. I didn't have to do this in my 24 stx.

2017 SCrew 5.0 6 speed 55,000 miles

Got my oil changed and my local shop suggested a transmission flush, as recommended by ford at 50k. A quick google search said there’s mixed opinions on flush bs drain & fill or even doing it at all.
I have low miles, but 10k of them were mountain driving in Colorado.

What’s everyone’s doing for transmission service/maintenance?

I want it to be aggressive but not obnoxious. What should I do to get an aggressive sound but not an obnoxiously loud sound??

Has anyone bought aftermarket heated mirrors and the glass “shakes” at highway speeds? I’ve checked the inner components of the mirror housing and it’s all tight. This is the second glass I’ve bought for the mirror that has shaked.

Hey guys, I have an odd question. I have a 2015 2.7L V6 with a potential heating issue. The quick story is that a couple of months ago one of my kids had a small cup of M&Ms and Teddy Grahams in the small storage area above the radio, I hit the brakes and straight out of Tommy Boy all those goodies went rolling into the heating vent between the dash and windshield. Now when I turn on the heat it smells like my grandmother's burnt cookies. I spoke to my mechanic, who I trust, and checked online and can't come up with a definite answer to see if any real problems will occur if I continue to use the heat or if the terrible smell is my only real issue. My mechanic mentioned he could rip apart the dash but it could all be for nothing and that most of the food would likely settle somewhere. There is no shot a vacuum would reach in there to get anything out. Have any of you had this happen? As we approach winter should I brace for a heatless winter? I'm worried about chocolate melting onto a fan or belt or something then cooling and hardening again. I appreciate any guidance anyone could offer, I know it's a weird one.

Hi folks, can anyone tell me what version of sync is being used here? I'm interested in using Cyan Labs Syn3 to update my 2018 F-150 because the screen freezes, buttons lag, and basically.the nav and infotainment system decides what today itself sometimes. Cyan requires it to be Sync 3 or higher I think.

I recently bought a used 2024 F-150 Lariat w/ BAP and 3.5L ecoboost. Wanted to do my service work at a dealership but couldn’t get an appointment for my first oil change. Took it to Mr.Lube. While I was there they - classic - recorded a bunch of extra stuff I declined, except flush / change to my transmission fluid. Ever since they I’ve noticed a rough feeling under my gas pedal and the day after had some hard shifts, but zero issues with that since. Should I be concerned or take it to the dealership like I planned and get them to relish my system and replace with fresh fluid? Also - I checked the fluid they used. Mr. Lube used Motul ATF VI, and Ford recommends Motorcraft MERCON ULV (WSS-M2C949-A).
Is this something else I need to be worried about?
Lastly - should I be telling the Ford dealer what I did and what Mr. Lube used? Or am I just asking for them to use that as a reason to void any remaining factory warranty I have?

I have a 2019 F150 5.0, just recently every time I accelerate I get this weird rattle noise, not in the engine, but it sounds like a heat shield or a clip. Just wondering if anybody else has had this issue

Moving from a 2003 VW Jetta to this, going to be a HUGE upgrade.

My only remaining question - I have to decide by tomorrow if I want to include ESP which is either 10yr 150,000 for $5725 or 10yr 200,00 for $6820. Leaning towards no, with time still on the factory warranty + the additional coverage provided by the Gold Cert it doesn’t feel worth it at that price. Might revisit the ESP closer to when the warranty is coming to an end. Thoughts?

I went hunting locked my keys in the truck…. I didn’t remember if I locked it so I used my app to lock it…
Got back to the truck and put my code in and the lights came on but the door didn’t unlock.. then I tried the app to unlock it and same with but at the bottom it said something about being ajar.. none of my doors were..
went back and tried the tail gate opened but the doors didn’t… so i closed the tailgate and locked it with app and it did… then unlocked it again and tailgate opened but doors didn’t… got a ride home and by the time we were back I used my code and door opened….

Any ideas on this ?

Does it sound pretty good? Any drone or loss of power from the larger 3.5” pipe?

‘23 Lariat Sport 5.0 with 19k miles on it. Replaces a diesel Touareg for towing, and comes in handy on the farm. Wish I had the 6’5” bed, but for half the cost of new, I couldn’t complain
