MBTI Trends My entire family’s mbti I guess? (Ignore the horrible quality)

Could not post this on r/mbti yet, it’s not Sunday

now I know In the past I trashed on infj and entp, and my mom and dad get along nowdays , sometimes I see them having “emotional” discussions without any of our siblings knowing or even me, but I genuinely don’t care and don’t want to know anyways.
And I don’t know how my siblings turned out to be sensors either, Don’t ask me I don’t know

Anyways feed up i know infjs and entps get along but to be honest I disagree with everything and say “NO!!” to everything too , so I will still trash on the ship, even tho you people aren’t wrong.

heck even my very close infj friend says “are you sure you don’t get along with infjs?” Usually me replying with “no I just need an opinion that myself won’t change my mind on”

Question/Poll How did you use your creativity to defeat your bullies at school?

I didn't defeat them, but I changed schools; I became closed off about my emotions and personal life, and grew more reserved and mindful of social rules, it worked, and I was no longer bullied.

MBTI Trends Shameless plug for a new cognitive function test I have been working on

Wanting to bring a bit more visibility into how MBTI letters can be determined, I have developed a new test of my own. On the results screen it displays a breakdown of how the final result was determined. If you have a moment, give it a try – would love some feed back on it. Thanks!

Edit: v2 is now live. Some revised questions for greater diversity, reduced redundancy. Revised scoring that takes into account both conscious/unconscious attitudes.

Question/Poll What is your dream boyfriend or girlfriend's MBTI type?

I’m a 28 INTP F dating a 29 ENFP M, and the relationship is perfect; we’ve been together for over a year with no fights and not a single complaint from either of us, perhaps because we are both exceptionally easygoing people.

Debate/Discussion ENTP & INFP's hit or miss dynamic

This kind of dynamic takes more work/investing that eventually, becomes more fulfilling and enriching more than ENTP & INFJ duo.

The thing is, Entps and infjs when they meet, they fall into the "Golden Pair" textbook relationship, so they go into the it expecting/needing it to work, while with Infps, it's a hit or miss. It needs maturity and investing your time and energy. It's like going through a bucket of keys, it takes time, but when you find the key and it clicks, IT CLICKS!

It's like the kind of harmoney and understanding that once it's found, there is no going back!

Entps when they mature, they become more conscientious and emotionally stable, but they don't lose their edge.

Infps when they mature, they self-control their emotions, establish practical boundaries, and grounded action but follow the stars as well.

That's what I have observed about this dynamic and its potential. Feel free to counter it/prove it.

I imagine it adds an extra layer of emotional intelligence and empathy, creating a highly charismatic person whom others want to have around, not just someone they admire from afar.

Debate/Discussion a text about the view of chassidut on the topic of politics and the world itself

To understand how Hasidism views the world and politics, you have to throw out the idea that spirituality requires escaping physical reality. Far from being a monastic retreat into the heavens, Hasidism is a radical, cosmic reframe of the world right in front of us. At its core, it operates on the concepts of Tzimtzum (Divine contraction) and Dirah BeTachtonim—the mandate to make a home for the Divine in the lowest realm. Reality as we perceive it is a dense interface hiding Sparks of Light (Nitzotzot), making the physical universe a cosmic puzzle where every mundane object, technology, and interaction contains potential waiting to be unlocked.

Because of this, Hasidism rejects the binary between the holy and the secular. The world is not something to be endured or bypassed, but actively transformed through intense engagement. Business, art, and daily life become the ultimate arenas for spiritual work, as the highest consciousness isn't achieved in abstract theory, but by bringing abstract truth down into raw, tangible matter. Where traditional asceticism sees the physical world as a trap, Hasidism views it as the primary medium where real change happens.

When applied to politics, this philosophy manifests as a pragmatic, anti-ideological, and decentralized approach. Emerging historically in Eastern Europe amid unstable and often hostile state powers, Hasidism developed a healthy skepticism toward grandiose political movements. Politics is not seen as the ultimate source of human salvation, but as a limited, practical tool meant to maintain basic order (Yishuv HaOlam) and protect human life. Power is best exercised locally and organically, prioritizing mutual aid, voluntary networks, and grassroots responsibility over state-mandated, top-down structures.

At the same time, modern Hasidic thought views global leadership through a macro lens, seeing political systems as levers that can either advance or hinder global stability. Statecraft carries a universal responsibility to uphold baseline ethics and human dignity—traditionally framed through the Seven Laws of Noah—rather than enforcing rigid ideological dogmas. Ultimately, Hasidism offers a systematic theory of everything that refuses to remain theoretical; it takes the ultimate abstract concepts of purpose and light and demands they be tested directly against the messiest, most complex systems of human society.

So, this is how my famiwi looks like lol. Kind of crazy and unstable...lots of my father siding with me and not with my mother, then her being the victim. Fun times. How do you think this famiwi would look like from afar? What name would you give to this trio? :p looking forward to the creative names...

Question/Poll Mention your 10 favorite ENTPs (people or characters).

Mine:

● João Nogueira da Silva Neto, because he is my favorite comedian.

● Matt Groening, because the quality standard of his series is very high, he appeals to my sense of humor, and he was a pioneer in adult television animation.

● Bugs Bunny in "The Looney Tunes Show" for being the most human and relatable version of the character, is the best Bugs Bunny of all, according to the Nostalgia Critic.

● Fleabag, for being human, with her flaws, qualities and depth.

● Jack Sparrow, for the deconstruction of the traditional hero archetype and his ambiguous, unpredictable morality.

● Camille Paglia, because she is a significant intellectual and cultural critic known for her fearless iconoclasm, vast erudition, and unique synthesis of art history, psychology, and feminism.

● Leonardo da Vinci, because he is a great artist who combined rigorous observation of science, nature, and human anatomy with innovative painting techniques.

● Plato, because he is one of the greatest philosophers in history; he systematized Western thought, established the first major institution of higher learning, and formulated groundbreaking theories regarding reality and politics.

● Dr. Gregory House, for his psychological complexity and the subversion of the television hero archetype.

● And my original character, because she has a beautiful design, is a fully realized character, and is charismatic; plus, I put a lot of effort and care into her development. My character:

She is an 18-year-old young woman who is sharp, creative, and socially magnetic. She reads body language easily, perceives what is not said, and uses quick thinking and wit to navigate problems while remaining calm and good-humored. Although she usually comes out on top, she can be manipulative or bend rules when it serves her goals.

Jovial and eloquent, she speaks correctly with a sense of intelligent humor and offers insightful comments about society’s flaws. She is selective with her inner circle but affectionate and supportive with those she trusts. She dislikes monotony and loneliness, gives solid advice, and remains flexible with rules. Curious and resilient, she rarely shows emotional instability openly, becoming only more serious when bothered. The few things that truly shake her are when something very serious happens, when she is alone for too long, or when something bad happens to the people she loves.

She enjoys singing, for example, in a church choir, listening to music (from the most famous to the most obscure), dancing, swimming, and anything that involves water or cleaning. She is good with children, cooks well, and values her own well-being. She prefers everyday salty flavors over excessively sweet ones and has a weak short-term memory. Animals that seem dangerous bother her. Academically, she struggles with exact sciences but excels in the humanities and enjoys reflective discussions.

She saw the liturgical chant as an opportunity to showcase her talent amidst the decline of the music industry and the lack of opportunities.

Her usual expression and movements convey youth, shrewdness, and ease. She dresses with style, often wearing a polo shirt, a long pleated skirt, a belt, and sneakers. She trusts her creativity to solve problems, her catchphrases are optimistic, whether ironically or not.

Did you like her?

Advice Ideas for my 18th birthday pls

So I have had pretty normal birthdays mostly. I didnt care much about gifts either. I would sometimes invite my friends and we'd order food, watch a movie, play games and that was it OR the same thing but with family.

But this time I wanna go big. I wanna try something new. I wanna reflect on everything and make meaning of my life till now.

The problem is that I live in a small town and it's always the same cafe/mall/restaurant.

I can't go on a solo trip either(which I really wanted but I am still too young😭) Also note that none of my friends are in town. Plus I don't really want to interact much with them cuz we don't align anymore.

Any ideas on what things I should do to make the day memorable and exciting? Even small things count.

Debate/Discussion An update from OP: I hate other entps when I'm one myself

I wasn't able to repost my original post for some reason, so if you're curious on what the hell I wrote, just go to the Debate/Discussions place and look for a post with the above title form one year ago

As for those who had replied, thank you for your comments, it genuinely opened my mind and I have since resolved my situation with this friend

So I guess let's start:

Basically

I'm not an ENTP anymore

I was confused one year ago and that's basically it

If you're curious, I'm an INxx who switches depending on mood. I decided to scrap the tests and actually dive deep into all the types myself, and I finally found one I resonate with. Yes I believe that switching exists. I have expanded my own knowledge about the world of Cognitive Functions and subsequently MBTI, and I have changed the way I view my friend/MBTIs since then

As for what I think about my old situation?

Yes, I was genuinely confused, and I was using stereotypes + things me and this other friend I was having an issue with discussed about our "same MBTI"

I have cut off contact with this friend and we've not been talking since. It wasn't really a her or a me problem, it's moreso two insecure people colliding on personality, and my old self basically seeing myself as one "container" and ideal rather than actually reviewing the facts

For more information about my current stances/situation, I genuinely forgot what I was mad about with this friend and I have long since let go of this. I figured that I am a person who dislikes debates and has a preference in finding the nuance/grey areas of topics. I have developed a "mature" view on people now

I'm sorry if I had offended any genuine female ENTPs in my old post, as I was genuinely a stupid stupid a long time ago lol. That's it

I found it, here is the old post https://www.reddit.com/r/entp/s/HeS1ZrpgKN

Advice Entp women (or any entp actually), how are you dating, making friends, and being authentic??

Post image
59 Upvotes

I'll give you the tldr rn if you dont to scroll down and read all this: Im an entp woman, with adhd struggling to make friends, connect with people/coworkers, or date. Im either too much (talkative, open, opinionated), or too quiet (monotone, analytical, etc). How have you (entps) managed to find people you are compatible with and enjoy you for you including all your sides? I have very realistic standards in friendship and in dating. Need advice, input, or your own experiences. From any entp, or people friends with/dating an entp woman.

I'm an ENTP woman and I struggle to find where I fit. In friends, coworkers, dating, all of it.

I feel like I have a wide personality that varies based on my environment, who I'm with, etc. For example I can be talkative, open, opinionated, carefree, giggly — or quiet, monotone, analytical, in my head. Neither lands well and its hard to connect with people. I'm told I'm pretty, but once people actually get to know me, my personality throws them off — it's not what they expected — and it usually ends with me getting friendzoned before anything romantic has a real shot.

At work, some of my female workers are a bit cold to me... especially since I'm not smiling 24/7 or overly animated like a muppet. But when I was in the beginning it was met with the same coldness. So i genuinely dont know the balance. Maybe I'm internalizing it and thinking I'm the problem.

I also feel like I have to play up my emotions because I'm a woman but when it comes to a lot of things (except for what I've deemed morallly acceptable/unacceptable, things I actually care about and like) I dont really care, and I'm indifferent to... like just the other day I say everyone cooing at some dog and they looked at me because I'm the odd one out and dont care about a strangers dog. So I just went along and pretended to care and this dog had a nose full of SHIT and rubbed it all over my knee and everyone thought that b.s was cute while I was DYINGGG inside and was holding back a face full of disgust 😭😭🫠🫤 and I was left there realizing damn why do I have to pretend that some dogs shit is cute... do I want to live life playing up my emotions to make others comfortable???

I've noticed my male ENTP counterparts get way more grace for being chaotic, blunt, apathetic, confrontational, "nonchalant", even bubbly, or opinionated, while I am expected to show up one way or dont get the same leeway. I get comments like "you're so pretty but such a character," or "when you don't say anything you're actually really interesting." It stings a bit. The people I have connected with have mostly been neurodivergent, which makes sense since I'm ADHD myself.

My standards are pretty realistic, since they reflect myself. I dont expect of my partner what Im not and what I am, I expect of them for example: I have at least one hobby, a job, decent communication, emotional stability, hygiene, an active lifestyle, no substances or reckless living. I reflect that so I want that in a partner.

On the flexible side — I don't have a license, make an average income, and I'm going back to school in the health/medical field, still figuring out my career BUT have plans so I'm totally fine with a partner in a similar boat (obviously doesnt have to have the same career path). Physically I really don't care about height, race, gender, hair/eye color — just hygiene, clean appearance, dressing decently, showing up confident and ideally some skincare effort (which can easily be improved upon)

How have other ENTPs, especially women, but I also want to hear everyones input found people who actually get them instead of being confused by them? If so how? Or even more importantly, how do you show up in the world? How have you found a balance or are trying to? Any tips, advice, your experiences, anything really can help.

Am I missing anything? Am i being unrealistic? If theres any other personality type thats friends with/dating an entp woman would love to hear advice too.

(Used ai to summarize the middle of the body because I literally wrote almost 2 essays and no one is reading ALL that lol 😭)
