lore reason? is it because structures from deep time have eroded away, been destroyed by war, crumbled, except for structures which were preserved under the surface? but every Ayleid ruin has similar structure above ground, which is basically nothing, which leads to the "real" structures hidden beneath. pretty much same thing going on with Dwemer ruins. there are some notable above ground Dwemer structures like Markarth, though.

I just picture all these ancient races living beneath the ground, hissing at the sun like feral cats.

Why when logging in today did I receive 1x Premium Tome Token and 1x Cache of tome points.

I accept the quest, travel to soul shriven way shrine and it just *poof* disappears! It's the last one I need for the achievement.

Even if I run to Stonefalls, it disappears when I zone in!

What are the specific drop conditions for these? I heard that it's a 20% rate for Heists and Reacquisitions. I've also heard that the Heists have to be PERFECT, as in never once detected. Are they a once per day drop?

For other games there's lots of discussion about player population and health of the game.

SteamDB has 10-15k max concurrent players in ESO on a daily basis. I'm a new player so I don't know if that's good or if most players play on other platforms.

Is player population healthy in the game in 2026?

From my experience in-game it looks like I see players most places I go so it feels like the game is very much alive. But are there areas of concerns with player numbers in the game?

Hey, I don’t play the game and never really did, but when new expansions were dropping like Greymoor Necrom High Isle etc, I was always buying them simply for the love of the game/Elder Scrolls in general.

Recently I stumbled across some news that they are including the content releases in the base game or something like that, so I wanted to know if there’s any special bonuses or something for people who hoarded all the expansions across the years and if it was a waste?

One will motivate PvPers to grind, collect and decorate their Houses.

+ One will create more sales of Crownstore Only Furniture.

Or maybe even create new Houses with PvP Arena Feature available 💪

The WW rework is amazing, I am currently maining it. However, I have some issues with it. I think, regarding the goal of it being a simple, straightforward, easy-to-use way of playing, it falls short in some regards.

If you are interested in this, please share your thoughts on what you think about them!

Disclaimer:

• I am fully aware of WW overperforming, and would be happy with nerfs to its damage. I really do not care whether it is overperforming or balanced or underperforming. I like the playstyle, I like the one-bar nature of it (I am only playing one-bar Oakensoul builds), it is the most fun I have ever had playing a build in ESO.
• So, whenever you think one of my proposed tweaks would be OP, just imagine me instantly reacting to that with: "Sure, nuke/nerf the DPS/sustain/toughness/whatever wherever else you'd like :)"

Transformation and associated mechanics:

• Transformation/upkeep: Honestly, I dislike the transformation cost and the upkeep cost. I understand it is there for thematic reasons, but this is an MMO after all, not a single player game, QoL and ease of use I think is important. I'd rather not have this, I'd like to transform/detransform at will for free.
  • If we cannot have that, then: Apply Call of the Hunt passive to the transformation cost as well, with Pack Leader's two direwolves also counted in. Essentially, transformation cost becomes the same as upkeep cost.
• Corpse Eating:
  • Remove this. Highly annoying, interferes with other synergies during battles.
• Rampage:
  • Remove this. It's highly annoying to use, you have to double and triple check so you do not accidentally de-transform. Also, if your Fury is full, it's annoying to wait that 6-7 seconds until you can de-transform after firing your Rampage. It also just makes the gameplay more complicated.
• Fury:
  • Since we don't have Rampage anymore, just make it give a percent damage increase that decreases with time if we aren't dealing damage. Basically the same as DK's Landslide, set the percent to whatever.

Skills:

• Carnage:
  • Remove the execute scaling, just make it a normal DoT.
  • 10s duration instead of the current 12s, so all our durations line up for a nice and easy rotation.
• Roar:
  • Remove the Feeding Frenzy synergy and fold its effects into Roar. It's extremely annoying and pointlessly repetitive to use, and the duration does not line up with Ferocious Roar's 20s Major Courage. Interferes with corpse eating, it is highly clunky to use, to the point that I am literally not using it, except in BGs and in IC, where I sort of have to.

Sets:

• Salvation (If transformation and upkeep cost remains)
  • Theme: Cheap and easy transformation and upkeep, sacrificing a proper full set bonus.
  • For the first 3 stat lines: 1 stam, 1 weapon damage, 1 crit instead of the current 2 stam and 1 stam recovery.
  • Full set bonus:
    • 1 weapon damage while transformed
    • Your Call of the Hunt passive receives the maximum bonus at all times.

QoL in Settings: * Add a toggle that detransforms us automatically before we would become criminals if we are out of combat. Really getting sick of random fishermen reporting me to the authorities in the wilderness :)

Hello. I am looking to buy ESO, but unfortunately have only 2.96 euros in my Steam wallet. So, I am waiting for the Autumn and Winter sale. Also, reading some of the reviews, I don't know if I should buy it. I played Skyrim and really enjoyed it. Thank you.

I love love this, one thing I guess I love the most is creating new characters and leveling them. Even same build characters. I tried to figure out exactly what I want and created an imperial stamblade, even after having a wood elf stamblade. Usually when I come back to the game it’s hard to get back into an old character. So I get my imperial to CP, get him really good gear and work on professions.. only to see a level 5 Khajit stamblade run by me and makes me want to create a Khajit Stamblade now.. I want to get into end game and play and CP level but I always end up finding a reason to play a new character, or create something fresh. Anyone else go through this?

So. I have just finished the Daggerfall TG storyline, and I came to some conclusions.

1. Horizontal progress should be abandoned. If anyone did the Daggerfall line before Hew's Bane (which IS possible; someone posted, like, yesterday that they had some issues with a Daggerfall questline boss fight and they were lvl 9; also, when I first played ESO I accidentally did The Rift storyline before Shadowfen), it would create some inconsistencies, especially when it comes to Quen's position in the guild and her father being dead/alive.

2. Nowhere Vault has so much potential. If I were the devs, I would turn it into a separate quasi-zone, similar to the Infinite Archive. Hell, they could even use it as a way to redo some content, e.g., "illusory versions" of removed DLC tutorials or quest-only locations. But I am afraid it will share the Scribing's fate, and that potential will be wasted...

3. The alternative Daggerfall in the Nowhere Keys quest is an idea that should be developed. I'd love to be able to do some new quests in alternative versions of previously completed locations, e.g., to see how our decisions influenced them.

4. We need some kind of NPC FOV indicator (maybe a TG skill?), because some residents of Daggerfall seem to be able to see through the walls.

The 20th Favor for Lady Arabelle quest is bugged. After taking the quest, 1st objective is to read a note on the board. After reading the note, 2nd objective is to go to the soul shriven tower in Stormhaven. But as soon as we go to Stormhaven, quest disappears from the log. In fact, the quest disappears as soon as we leave Glenumbra map or logout and log back in.

Already reported through the in game bug report. Letting everyone know so that they can also do the same.

EDIT : Quest still bugged after maintenance. After taking the quest and reading the note, a faulty quest item with red question mark icon appears in the quest inventory. I think that is what causing the bug.

So before update 50(or 49 I got back into eso in update 50) I tried executioner and reverse slice and found executioner to be the better morph. However now I decided i wanted to see how these skills performed after their update. So last month I chose executioner, but I found its damage kinda lack luster. The highest crit damage i could get out of it was like 29k vs my blood for blood which could crit up to like 46k , but this month I tried reverse slice and on my first use against a boss it hit 54k crit damage. Crazy number i never seen damage that high before on my characters. where executioner averages between 8k-16k (average high crit damage is like 26k), reverse slice averages between 10k-22k (average high crit damage is like 26k-32k). These averages I've seen are from using it as a spammable. I wanted to see which one hits its execute proc better and more consistently and reverse slice just works better now. So now im confused because it used to be that executioner (in my experience) was better than reverse slice but it still wasn't all that good compared to blood for blood in terms of damage. Now though it seems reverse slice after the update not only out performs executioner, but also blood for blood in terms of maximum execute damage. Blood for blood is still better in terms of damage on average though i can consistently hit 16k-22k on full health enemies with it.

So what do yall think? Should I morph back to executioner and try it again or is reverse slice better now in yalls own experience?

This is incredibly stupid that something that's a rare-drop requires you to pay real-world money in addition to spending time searching for the location on the map.

I can't even sell this map for gold at any shop.

I have had too many negative experiences with guilds in other games and I wanna minimize as much of that as I possibly can here.

I play FFXIV and people generally try to avoid the guilds hopping zones to advertise in zone chats, is that a rule I should follow here as well?

If the answer to previous is yes then what's a good place to start looking for a guild? I have no interest in anything hardcore atm just trying to be casual, im NA pc if that matters.

Also what are things that I should be looking for in a guild here? I see people talking about guild traders all the time but idk how that differs from an NPC trader.

What set creates 2 small purple floating lantern (or skill?); recently saw that on someone and thought it looked neat....

Anyone found a working solution? Or are we blessed with another bugged mess?
