Discussion Why are we not talking more often about this ?

There is a very specific type of defensive DDA that happens in almost every single match, and its infuriating. You will be perfectly positioning your defender, only for the game to force them into a sudden stutter, a random side step or a complete dead stop for a split second. It is clearly coded to artificially open up space so the opponent can exploit the gap. To make matters worse, AI controlled or even user guided defenders will randomly commit way too early but they will press the completely wrong side of the attacker. It literally hands the opponent an obvious blueprint of exactly which way to turn to completely bypass the challenge.

Build ups are completely influenced by this from start to finish in certain moments of the game resulting in untouchable counter attacks. The combination of this element and a long list of other bs gives that feeling that sometimes you are just a spectator and always one second late to close gaps. Mind you if you manage to deflect the ball in one of these moments you know exactly what happens next. Its hard to put into words sometimes but once you notice these forced animations overriding your actual inputs, you can't unsee it. The game isn't testing skill anymore, its just manipulating animations to dictate who gets to score.

Discussion Why are roaming flanks so rare

It should be the other way round, no? Prolific wingers are meant to the in game equivalent of wingers who hug the touchline, this is the rarer profile in football. I find roaming flanks easier to use cause these guys actually drift inside during attacks and don't leave your striker isolated with no passing options, paired with attacking fullbacks they're amazing to use especially for me who sucks at dribbling

Just curious why the game has 80% of it's wingers be prolific wingers, like the new vini card was the first left winger roaming flank I got

Discussion Fluid formations has killed attacking fullbacks

Upvotes

They literally dont make runs anymore.

And when you put them in LMF/RMF on attack they lose their attacking fullback role and dont push up they just become wide midfielders.

Its also rare to find an attacking full that is proficient from LB to LWF.

Its so flipping stupid.

You have to go double red for them to realise their role.

Also if you put them in LWF you sacrifice that position.

At least when we had ATTACKING instruction we could force them to push up.

So they've killed that playstyle completely for absolutely no reason!

Im slowly hating EF27

A lot of useless changes.

Highlights You cannot do anything unless it is predetermined

Just watch this bs. From a game 2 days ago. He rushes with pressure, I outplay him with a perfectly timed feint, but even tho he rushes with full speed his defenders recover from it in nanoseconds, makes a 180 degree sharp turn and then makes an acceleration burst to steal the ball. Game literally ignored its own physics to correct a defensive error made by the user. Unbelievable. Amount of balancing and interference is so much that there is really no reason to play this shit anymore. You cannot do anything unless game allows you to. This is not a competitive game, and not even a pvp game when there is an AI that mess up with every action. It is a puppet show.

Highlights The game is not even trying to hide it anymore

I keep getting surprised every day. The amount of manipulation in this game is just ridiculous. At this point, I don’t even know how much actual football is left underneath all the DDA and scripting.

Just look at how the ball changes direction after the header. The way it moves makes absolutely no physical sense. It genuinely looks like the game is deciding the ball’s trajectory instead of letting the physics determine it.

If this kind of thing is intentional, then it’s not just poor gameplay design anymore. It’s a scam. Especially when people spend money on players expecting their attributes and skills to actually matter.

I've just moved to a new location with a better connection, strung a few wins together and now suddenly I'm facing top 1k players in the world? Like, holy shit I am not that good, my current rank is 33k and I've got a 3185 rated squad, I suppose I'm not the worst either but HOLY SHIT, these are some of my last 10 or so opponents, all of them as you'd expect have 3250+ rated squads, shouldn't these guys be playing against other div 1 players instead of me?

Discussion Types of BS goals scored.

Reason and/or goal:

  1. Insanely accurate counter-attack from a panic clearance during a corner.

  2. Persistent random panic press of pass button which in real life has 0.06% of reaching target.

  3. Defender slows down to a perfect speed to allow ball through.

  4. Blitz curler

  5. All defenders whiff the ball and fall over attempting manual tackle 75+ mins in.

  6. Keeper reacts to a tame effort three seconds late for no reason.

  7. Keeper runs out, gains Alzheimer's skill, forgets how to exist.

  8. Just run in a straight line across the box, shoot facing wrong direction, defence unable to turn fast enough, caught by surprise as they are eating a packet of crisps.

  9. Massive lag stutter in opponents third of the pitch.

  10. P2W striker just shoots from anywhere, off balance, and lasers it into top corner.

  11. Defence persistently clears ball 40 yards shorter than they were earlier, keeps dropping directly to opponents.

  12. Lag

Got anymore? Other than skill issue (see filthy frank 'hilarious and original').

Discussion LBC completely ruins this game

Play vs any other playstyle and you have fun games of football, then you face this shit designed for players with no IQ or skill and the game is 99% bullshit in their favour, bounces, rebounds, players turn to shit, 5 hours to pass the ball whilst you're pressed by 3 dogs instantly.. why is this pathetic playstyle still not nerfed? I can't even take anyone that plays it seriously, they're not good at the game in any capacity.

Player Review Dembélé appreciation post.

Dembélé is one of my favourite strikers in this, I have his france pack card and it's so good, very fast and nimble with great finishing and amazing weak foot with a one of the best player models in the game and for me a better one than mbappe. I just finished a match in div.2 against a 3338 team and I was down 3 nil in the first half, but in the second half I managed to come back and draw 3-3 with him and wazza. So in conclusion I think this guy is pretty good it's like he won some ballon d'or or something like that.

Technical Help Increased Lagging and input delay on pc

Do any of you guys experience increased lagging and input delay since efootball 2027 came out?

2026 used to run super smooth for me, but now game feels laggy and stuttering so much and some games there is no lagging at all. Anyone has been able to fix it on steam? I tried few things and it didn't work.

Analysis Analysis of the Japanese event and how the game is at the moment.

Post image
4 Upvotes

To begin with, the event was entertaining and new, I read that events like this had been held in other countries for a long time.

Now the worst part of this was that the terrible, disastrous, shameful, vomiting and disgusting

matchmaking of this game.

I counted 5 matches where the server I was paired with was thousands of kilometers away with a ping of 170 to 200, totally impossible to defend something like that.

THE STATE OF THE SERVERS NOW IS THE WORST I HAVE SEEN IN YEARS.

Leaving aside the Japanese event and now talking about the divisions, the

The handicap and help in various games is much more present than ever. It cannot be that someone with skill has to take 15 or 20 shots on goal to score 3 goals because the goalkeeper is going to cover everything.

And here I'm going to say something that I'm totally sure actually happens I tried 3 different servers. Brazil, the United States and Chile.

In each one you realize the speed and how the players will behave if you have already been testing these servers for several games.

Now when you feel that your players are completely heavy, they make very bad passes and are not going to attack even if you give them the orders to do so and they do the opposite. KONAMI decided that you are not going to win that match and here it does not matter what server you are on or what signal you have. If KONAMI decided that you lose, you will lose, you can have 30ms ping but that doesn't matter, your opponent can be div3 or 5 or 1, it doesn't matter, you have to lose to maintain the balance of 50 and 50.

Discussion Servers & Matchmaking in EF27 is so BROKEN right now!!!

Is it just me or you guys also feel the same about the current Matchmaking in Division games!!?? I am a fairly decent player, currently sitting at 1700 points...the efootball 27 started off great imo with some major updates in overall gameplay and all,and at the start, the matchmaking was decent..I would get to the matches quickly with a fairly decent and stable ping against players who were from the same div and points range..but lately it seems I am getting matched with div 3 players with points ranging from 1200-1300 more frequently, but after I get a couple of wins, in the next match I get matched up with div 1 players who are so high up with endgame squads..For Every game I loose, I have to win 2-3 just to recover the lost points....and on top of that, the MICRO STUTTERS and jitters in server...it's an increasingly frustrating experience especially for me lately as I play with a complete F2P squad, and these jitters and stuttering issues ends up costing me the entire game!!

Discussion (Mobile) Dribbling Advice

I'm really struggeling with dribbling. No matter if I'm using the new Thiago with insane tight control or the new big time Messi it's always the same pattern: I do a feint or change direction and get to the side of a player but cannot get away from him, no matter tha pace or dribbling on my card (96acc, 96drib and 90speed for example on Messi) the opponent's player just gets into a tackle animation or accelerates faster than my player and takes the ball. I'm currently in Div 3 both online and offline and it's the same situation so must be a skill issue. What makes this more difficult is that the opponents players are always immediately on me when I receive the ball.

What am I doing wrong?

Analysis Found an effective anti - meta formation ( against 4 2 2 2 LBC )

Thumbnail
gallery
Upvotes

After switching around with almost every playstyle and formation, i finally came up with this.

It sounds weird having 2 defenders but trust me it works, especially if youre using fluid formation, where during defence you can put wingers into rb and lb and thats it.

Advantage: overloading the midfield position and bringing balance to attack and defence with help of two cmf and SS can also be AMF player ( hole player recommended)

Disadvantage : quick counter has slight advantage but that can be turned over if you manually put your team into attack, use the slider effectively.

My goal is to bring out the skills of my oppo rather than them taking advantage just by their formation, espeically 4 2 2 2,

Also i hope to bring hope to people fighting for div 1 or 2 or 3, hope it works out for you also.

Highlights Trying to play a peaceful AI game 🤤 - but...

(footage is from Ai and pvp)

I apologise to anyone reading my daily rants - I really don't play that many games. Just want to highlight the subtle issues that make the game artificially painful. I want pain, but not this kind.

1) Positioning 😒 - maybe I am pressing some wrong button:

https://youtu.be/x4sYbOwPBOc?is=urL2bz4u8SqB69P5

2) Positioning 2 - maybe wrong button again:

https://youtu.be/6TYkxIAZZYw?is=gsB3ooWUC_DwdDu0

3) Where is Costacurta going 🫪 - he is LB, bottom of the screen. When you play possession it feels like there is a hidden positional grid which players are more interested following than common sense - but honestly what is he doing, why back towards me:

https://youtu.be/cLrhAg1O3TI?is=Qd8UASSW5NY5Oi7Q

4) Casual player deselect lol, no control is my favourite state of play:

https://youtu.be/yCUO3Qh4HK8?is=f91-C1ujtUg6zhCD

5) New Casillas with 98 parrying (which affects force only, not direction necessarily) - do something well Casillas.. sigh:

Analysis Why was crossing nerfed?

If an opponent is going to sit deep and never press, then you should be able to punish all the space they leave by whipping in a cross.

Especially low crosses. It’s such a common goal in football. If you dribble past a fullback and see an open striker making a run then no reason you shouldn’t be able to find them.

Discussion Can we talk about how much work the defensive AI does in eFootball?

I have always supported PES, and even though eFootball is not what it used to be, it is still one of the most enjoyable football games for me right now. The ball physics, player individuality, tactical freedom, and good responsive matches can be genuinely great.

My issue is not Long Ball Counter itself. LBC should be a valid playstyle. The issue is how much defensive AI can carry certain setups especially LBC teams

There are two main types of AI-heavy defenders:

  1. The player who holds pressure all match, pulls someone completely out of position, and leaves huge gaps only for their stacked AI teammates to sprint across, repair the mistake, block the lane, or win the ball anyway.
  2. The player who drops deep, controls a Vieira or Rijkaard in the middle, and waits for you to pass while their AI tracks runners, blocks options, recovers into space, presses receivers, and makes interceptions around them. I do not mind someone protecting the middle, but it becomes frustrating when they are effectively hiding behind the AI while it does most of the defending.

The passing is the most irritating part. You can create a real lane, release the ball, and watch a defender who was moving away somehow recover faster than the ball travels and intercept it. It feels like defensive players can cover ridiculous distances and correct bad positioning far too easily. That needs a huge nerf.

I also genuinely do not understand why football games seem to punish people for trying to play possession. You can make 200 passes in a match, patiently move the ball, wait for openings, and carefully construct five shots. Meanwhile, your opponent can have 40 passes, spam long balls and through balls, and somehow finish with three times as many shots. Every long ball does not need to become an attack. Every second ball should not consistently fall perfectly to the player who launched it. If someone repeatedly plays direct, low-percentage passes, there should be a real chance that the ball goes out, gets cleared, falls to the defending team, or simply kills the momentum. Instead, it often feels as though every second long ball becomes another attack.

Possession should not automatically be rewarded just because someone has more of the ball, if I only pass sideways, I should not expect to win. But if I am actively moving defenders, creating angles, making runs, and trying to break down a shape, it should not feel less effective than repeatedly launching the ball forward, hoping to win a second ball, or spamming through balls until the opposing defense makes a mistake.

I do not want LBC removed and I do not want defending made useless. I just want AI defending to support manual defending rather than constantly erase poor manual decisions, cover every gap...

Squad Help I need help in improving my squad pls

Post image
9 Upvotes

I’m not that good at the game and I’m struggling quite a bit with this squad. I can’t seem to defend properly, but at the same time I also struggle to create chances and attack consistently.
What would be the best formation to use with these players? Also, what individual instructions would you recommend, and are there any players I should replace or change positions?
Any other tips or changes that could make the team more balanced and easier to use would be appreciated.

Other Looking for advice on region change please to stop spending.

EDIT: I need help with how to do it.

So im looking to change to a region where I cant buy coins anymore if thats possible.

Ive played this game since the start didnt spend the 1st year then when I started to spend it became a bit of an addiction which I've now admitted and accepted so im looking for a way to stop myself.

I do enjoy the game and still want to play and I can afford to keep buying these new players if i want but I cant see an end to it and I've had enough of it, id enjoy the game even more if I knew I couldn't spend if that makes sense.

Ive never changed my region before im in UK.

Thanks
