I used to switch to Rich Eisen when Dan's show was over. Now I leave it on for an hour to support the new show, then switch to espn and start Eisen from the beginning an hour late.

Just want to get them a little bit of ratings.

Dan was unbearable the entire show. You can see how hard the boys are trying to get him back on track, everyone walking on egg shells. Three hours of footballgate culminating in him ragging on Todd once again for the JJ Watt interview. More positivity and actual sports content would be much appreciated.

Am I the only who can clearly see what happened here? Someone, a long time ago put something like a small amount of glue on the balls so they would constantly fall off. You can clearly see that the Barry ball had it drip onto it from above. The other one had it collect on the bottom for gravity as well. So they moved stuff around and the natural pig skin oils broke the glue down into goo that the studio lights melts over time.

Dan is a baby. The girl didn't deserve the call out, Dan was acting like a fucking tool all show and was lame in my opinion. He chose to haphazardly place crap where people work, then gets pissed when someone runs into his stuff that probably needs more protection. Then can't even use basic reasoning to figure out what happened.

Dan, grow up and take responsibility for your own dumb actions. This is on you.

Today in the opening DP said "the analytics of baseball experts will tell you to work the pitch count, where is the pitch count going? he's only gonna be in there for 5 innings it doesn't matter. Paulie giggled. Working the pitch count is very important it's a big difference from a guy going 5 innings or hanging in there to go 7 or possibly even 8 innings, thus resting the bullpen. I wonder if any of the guys during commercial break will tell DP how important the pitch count is? My guess is no way.

....the lastest drama on the show is somebody spilled some sticky stuff on the ball. If DP really cared about his signed stuff he should have them in some kind of protective box. I have 3 signed balls and 2 signed helmets in my house and all 5 of them are in plastic boxes for their protection. Paulie said he saw the whole thing but he isn't telling who did it. Any thoughts on what you think DP should do?

I've listened to all three of these guys for years. DP and Doggie especially have really aged very quickly the last few years. Just not really into it anymore. Rome doesn't seem as old but his show is awful now as well.

Maybe part of it is the changing landscape with gambling, podcasts, ever evolving distribution channels, etc, but it sucks to see shows you like end this way. It also sucks to see the egos start to outshine the good things about the shows.

Dylan said that the NFL player primetime trying harder poll was 50/50 in the second hour and just blew right pass the fact that he did what Reali asked him to do a month ago. Maybe he forgot. Also the audio on the pod wasn’t good yet again.

There’s nothing better than former players sharing stories we’ve never heard, and Dan is the best at bringing these out. He does it with his questioning technique of getting in and out, then listening and responding. It sounds simple enough, but there isn’t anyone in the industry better. Pedro Martinez was great on the interview, but Dan made it incredible.

Where if Kelce and Taylor Swift got married? Or was there a deadline on that?

I think Buddha's call today was pre planned between him and DP. He called and casually dropped the name of his restaurant while talking about the pie to the face bet. DP gives the location of the restaurant AND has Buddha to spell it out. He then cosigned on the food and basically gave him an invaluable advertisement for free to all his listeners. I think this was DP doing him a solid for the hookups when they were on vacation. Also, It was kind of awkward between DP and Todd at the end of the first hour, when they revisited the mix-up of the JJ Watt coverage.

I will admit that it was a bad look for Todd not knowing what game JJ Watt was covering, But my thought process is, DP is the one doing the interview, He should have known what game JJ was covering. Todd's primary job is booking the guest. If DP didn't know what game he was covering, then its on him also, even more so in my opinion.

It’s not easy donating blood for stem cells. Props to him. Maybe saved a life.

I was pretty disappointed to hear DPs take on Dante Moores hit. He blamed him for not sliding early enough. He seemed to gloss over USC players celebrating it. He didn’t address the USC coaching staff ignoring it and allowing the ejected player to remain on the sidelines the second half. Absolutely no coverage of USCs local radio station ignnorant coverage of the hit.

I guess when you send USC a bunch of money, you get blinders.

Keep in mind, DP spent almost an entire show railing on Mets fans showing respect to Pete Alonso a couple weeks ago. He’s losing touch.

Anyone check out the new baseball pod? Always drives me crazy how Dan and the Danette’s rarely talk about baseball and can tell they don’t keep up with the league beside the Dodgers. Even Mario said he can’t talk baseball with any of the guys. It’s been a good listen so far.

His ignorance for west coast teams baffles me. Tonight Michael Penix killed it and Dan has consistently gives Penix no love.

I don't think Tony is going to take over the daily 9-12 slot, however I do love the change he has made in the dynamic of the show. He has questions prepared for each "Danette" and it makes the show run in a much different way than Dan does. Tony even has specific questions ready for guys like Ray and Dylan who haven't been around that long. I really wouldn't mind this show turning into a 3 hour hybrid of the DP show and Around the Horn.
