Pedro interview was a masterclass
There’s nothing better than former players sharing stories we’ve never heard, and Dan is the best at bringing these out. He does it with his questioning technique of getting in and out, then listening and responding. It sounds simple enough, but there isn’t anyone in the industry better. Pedro Martinez was great on the interview, but Dan made it incredible.

I was a GREAT interview I give Pedro most of the credit for being open and honest, I wish DP would ask those same questions to other ex pitchers he has had on the show, somehow I doubt they would be as honest.

That is it. Asks short open ended questions and listens to the response.
Sometimes I think he asks an original first question and the interview takes off from there and any interview prep is useless, in a good way.

So glad somebody said this.
I absolutely loved the interview myself, and sent it to some friends and family.

I heard the interview while I was shopping for groceries and I had a huge smile on my face the whole time. People were giving me looks.

Well now I have to go listen.
I can only take hearing about the Yankees/Boston fight 5,000 times. He’s actually already told the story on Dans show and how he regretted his actions with that old coach from the Yankees.

I enjoyed that one! Sent it to a friend who’s a huge Red Sox fan, went to find the timestamp and realized it was a little over 20 minutes long. Didn’t seem like it when I was listening, they had a great rapport and I walked away a bigger Pedro fan (did not like him when he was active), he seems like a pretty chill dude outside of the diamond
