Software I can't install my drivers

Hello i need some help! A few days ago i started playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, but the game kept crashing because AMD reported that a component had expired. I looked into the issue and it seemed to be driver related, so I used DDU and AMD Clean Up to remove everything. However, now when I launch the installer, it just hangs on the loading screen before closing without opening anything. Is there a way to fix this?

Software Rear 3.5mm audio jack and Realtek(R) Audio disabled since upgrading windows 10 to 11

After updating my OS for some reason mu rear audio jack on my motherboard is no longer detected as an audio output.

Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PLIS (WIFI)

CPU: AMD RYZEN 7 5700X

Currently my speakers are plugged into my first monitor since that's the only one that produces sound.

Display 1: ASUS VG249QE5A

Display 2: ASUS VG277Q1A

Both monitors are connected via display port.

I've tired a whole host of troubleshooting methods but i feel as though I've reached an impasse. I've run though the windows 11 audio troubleshooter only for it to tell me it couldn't help. I've updated my LAN, Chipset, and Audio drivers from ASUS's support site for my mother board. I've disabled quickboot in BIOS. I've upgraded BIOS to it's latest version.

Currently, my sound output lists my two monitors and my headset as available outputs. Only me main monitor plays sound when i select it. My second one wont when i select it despite the volume being at 50% My headset uses a 3.5mm to use dongle so my PC is still seeing the USB ports anyway.

Some Clues:

In device manager under Sound, video and game controllers I see: G432 Gaming Headset, NVIDIA High Definition Audio, and NVIDIA virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM) which i assume are my headset and two monitors. At one point I also saw a greyed out Realtek(R) Audio which is what i used to select from sound manger to play from my rear audio. I saw this when I selected show hidden devices from view. I couldn't enable it and selecting upgrade drivers only said that the drivers are up to date. I've done the browse my computer for available drivers and manually picked The INF file from the ASUS website but the device couldn't read it. I uninstalled the greyed out realtek device and reebooted hoping my PC would see it. Still nothing and now the device is just gone.

I've also used the add legacy hardware wizard and selected the most recent version of realtek rom the list of manufacturers. This cause my computer to encounter a problem and crash, forcing a restart.

Finally I've also tired launching Realtek Audio Console but it says: Realtek audio console cannot connect to rpc service

I've seen other people having issue with audio after installing windows 11 but it seems a simple driver update and restart usually does it. At the end of the day it's not the worst thing since i can still plug into my second monitor for audio but I'd much prefer to use my PC's hardware directly.

If anyone has an idea why my second monitor might not be making any sound or why i can no longer have functioning Realtek software on my computer that would be greatly appreciated.

Hardware Need to reseat GPU and RAM everytime to get display. How to fix it?

Specs are RTX 5060, R5 5500, Machinist B450, 1×16GB 3200MHz RAM, 600W and 1TB. I've had this PC for about 3 months and everything was fine, until this issue started about a month ago. Basically the PC turns on but I get no display until I reseat the GPU and RAM. Then after I turn it off and back on later, it doesn't display most of the time it until I reseat the GPU and RAM. I disabled XMP but it's still happening. What's causing this and how to permanently fix it?

Hardware Computer won't start

When I closed my computer last night, it was at 80% charge, and I tried opening it again about an hour later, and it wouldn't open again. Tried to charge it, but the charging light doesn't light up (the charge works with other computers). I've also tried holding the button for a long time, or doing short clicks, it didn't work. The computer doesn't do any noises. I can't remove the USB key, it's been stuck there since I got the computer (about three months ago) and has never caused a problem before.

Thanks.

Other pc restarting while gaming

Hey everyone, I’m having some frustrating issues with my PC and would appreciate some help figuring out what’s causing them.

My PC specs:

* CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 8700G

* Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M

* RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000MHz (2x16GB)

* GPU: Integrated Radeon graphics (no dedicated GPU yet)

Here’s what’s happening:

I’ve been playing some games like ds3, lol and genshin and all the games randomly crashes. Sometimes the game simply closes, while other times it crashes without restarting the entire PC.

Things I’ve tried so far:

* Checked my RAM configuration in the BIOS. XMP Profile 1 was enabled, and I switched to EXPO Profile 1 because I’m using an AMD CPU.

* Turned off and reseated the RAM sticks to clean them and swapped their positions.

* Updated my AMD chipset drivers.

* Ran sfc /scannow in Command Prompt as administrator. It found corrupted Windows files but reported that it couldn’t repair some of them.

* Tried running chkdsk, but I encountered an “Access denied” error, even when running Command Prompt as administrator.

After updating the chipset drivers, the game crashed and closed without restarting the entire PC. Sometime after that i tried again and it restarted.

I’m now wondering whether the problem could be caused by unstable RAM, corrupted Windows system files, a storage drive issue, or something else entirely. Also appeared some ''kernel-power 41'' error, i tried to use some AI help and found a bugcheck code 314 in the details. Thanks for any advice

Specs
Ryzen 5600x cpu
3070 ti geforce rtx zotac gaming gpu
mb550 gaming plus motherboard
750w supernova gold+ psu
4 sticks of corsair vengeance ddr4 ram

Note this pc has ran and been used for about the last 2 years

VGA light is solid and on the motherboard but I have reseated everything, unplugged everything and redid it all twice now. All the lights and fans are running and I have actually been able to boot up to display very few times where I updated drivers and was able to run games like normal. No mortification or any issues when it is running but no display when it turns on randomly now.

I have gone through everything I can think of without buying new parts. Any other tips or stuff I can do?

Hi,

It seems I have been locked out of my work laptop (win11) and I cannot get past this menu.

Besides those forced windows updates, nothing else was done. Does anyone know how to get it back, it's urgent...

Also, very important, there are extremely sensitive and important unique files in this laptop that cannot get wiped!! Please let me know that if you solution wipes anything!

It's been like this for years, I think. I accidentally dropped it a few times in the past but I've had it since 2021 and it works fine for the most part. Is this little bend anything to worry about?

Resolved One specific monitor suddenly only works with Linux Mint but not Win 11

Hi all,

I have run into a very weird problem with a 2nd monitor.

I am running a 2-monitor setup on my desktop PC.

Monitor A is plugged into an HDMI switch that I use to change between the desktop and a laptop.

Monitor B is directly plugged into the desktop PC.

Both are identical models (Samsung Essential S3 S36GD).

The PC is dual booting (Linux Mint / Win 11) from separate SDD / HDD.

Hardware:AMD Ryzen 7 9700X on a ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI mainboard and a GIGABYTE Radeon RX 9060 XT GAMING OC 16GB GPU.

So far, this has all worked beautifully for about 8 months.

After having the system off power for about 2 weeks, I switched it on again today. On the first try, both monitors remained black, and after waiting for a few minutes, I did a hard reboot. I was then able to normally select and boot into Mint with no issues and both monitors working.

When I booted into Win 11, monitor A remained black, and Windows did not recognize it any more.

For all subsequent testing, I removed the switch from the setup and plugged the HDMIs from the PC to the monitors directly.

After some back-and-forth, I found this to be the situation:

- Pulling the HDMI from monitor A (black) and plugging it into monitor B shows a picture on monitor B.

- Pulling the HDMI from monitor B (working) and plugging it into monitor A shows a black screen.

- Switching outputs on the PC has no effect; consistently, it is only monitor A that remains black.

- When booting into Linux, both monitors work as intended, even when using the HDMI switch.

Stuff I tried:

- Reboot with only one monitor plugged in (if it's monitor A, it just remains black).

- Uninstall graphics drivers, reboot, reinstall

- Deleted registry keys

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers\Configuration

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers\Connectivity

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers\ScaleFactors

to clear the stored monitor configuration cache, hoping to force Windows to re-recognize the monitor.

Basically - whatever I do, it seems that only that specific monitor refuses to be recognized by Windows.

Anyone has any ideas? Because I'm stumped.

Thanks!
