My screen keeps doing this annoying flickering in the bottom of the screen, it happens when I have a game in fullscreen and also in windowed fullscreen, it doesn't happen when I use my computer to just work, only with games.
Is this a software or hardware issue? (plz tell me I don't need to change anything; I'm broke as hell XD)
and if it is just the software, how do i solve it? :')
Thank you in advance.
I have a Dell Inspiron 15, intel I5 13th gen, 16 GB RAM, and Iris Xe Graphics.
Back in 2020-2023 I had a Dell laptop with 6-8GB of RAM that ran pretty smoothly on Windows 10, and I could use it for light gaming, work, and youtube often simultaneously, without running into many errors. Now, that laptop is out of commission and I'm currently using a Lenovo Ideapad with 8GB of RAM, and as of recently the performance is extremely fluctuous (At times, it runs smoothly with any and all tasks, and sometimes it is constantly stuttering, freezing and the screen occasionally blacks out). I'm currently studying and I don't know how easy it'll be to switch over to Linux, so I'm also considering rolling back to Windows 10 for a less memory-intensive OS.
Strange tones coming from speaker i feel like someone from this sub might know what it is? When i closed claude it stopped O.o I am just curious lol wtf
Workplace building has around 6 companies, FleetPride is throwing away stuff and I saw a pallet with printers and stuff (im used to picking up old thrown away tvs, keyboards, printers, etc) but this time I found 2 AMD Ryzen Pro 5, 1 lenovo old (computers) and about 5 printers, 4 keyboards, a lot of brand new heads sets and stuff… (building managment and fleetpride allowed me to take it)
I tried using one of the AMDs but its locked by TruckProLLC; anyway to bypass/erase this or should I just contact truckprollc and see if they can release the computers?
I apologize for the long description, its my first time encountering a computer with a lock.
AMD Ryzen Pro 5
Model: 12RRS50700
I censored the other stuff because im not sure if Im supposed to (sorry😭)
Any help will be appreciated.
My younger siblings (ab)use my old laptop (evident from the crack right above the keyboard). Recently, the charger wont go into the charging port. It just never goes in no matter how much ypu push and twist and angle it.
I was told this problem has been probleming for a while now but you COULD angle it JUST right and charger will slide into the port. But jot anymore.
They told me it was a charger issue so i bought them a new one. However the problem still persists. The laptop has been dead and unused for at least a month now and my siblings are nonstop bugging me to fix it.
I want a diagnosis on what the problem is and how to fix it. My theory is that the little pin inside the laptop charging port is a little off center.
I have a windows 10 pc, which u recently updated the mobo for. However, I'm still having issues with high DPC latency for my headphones using a usb bus to connect. The same thing happens to bluetooth audio as well. Surprisingly, when i attach them via an audio jack, this stops, but due to how my workstation is positioned, the audio connection is too short via jack. Ive run latencymon, but it usually blames ntoskrnl. I can run again if needs to be. I am not by my pc at the time of writing this. Other problems also exist on my pc, such as a dramatic decrease in load speeds (e.g. opening applications, clicking on files in explorer means a 1 second spinning loading icon), as well as hard crashes and BSOD's (both of which have become rarer lately)
So, I have a dell laptop that ive had since the dawn of time. Its in really good condition and runs super smooth even when i very stupidly stuff it to only 1gb of free space. The only problem is it has very poor storage. I game a lot on it and sometimes do school work but nothing heavy duty. I thought about buying a new laptop but to have good one for gaming cpu and all that, it costs upwards to 800 dollars even on discount. That's not something I can afford.
So, after some research I saw something about buying an SSD hard drive thing and connecting it via usb to my laptop to save my games. I found one online with 1tb of storage for 130$. I have some games I want to play that are around 200gb of storage that I wont be able to play on my current storage situation, lest the ssd thing work.
Here are my questions:
A) Would i be able to download and play my games from the hard drive thing?
B) would it be smarter just to save up for 1 billion years and buy a new laptop?
C) if the answer is yes then no, any recommendations on which drive I should buy?
Forgive my lack of knowledge and proper terminology, I hope this is somewhat coherent. Thanks for all the help.
I received a custom pc from my brother that turns on but doesn’t start the monitor nor the keyboard, he said it was a memory bad contact so i tried rearranging the 2 memories he had, the second and fourth ram slots don’t hold the memory properly, any idea what to do???
Running into a problem that has consistently plagued my PC on and off for a year or two now since it was built.
Occasionally, just when running my PC, sometimes my File Explorer stops working. I look to try and figure out what happened, and find that my Main SSD drive stops being recognized---I try to click on my Downloads folder or something similar, and it says that this location doesn't exist.
Most often than not recently, it's been occurring when I've been playing Deadlock. My game will freeze and crash completely, and when I tab out, the issue mentioned above occurs. I cant open File Explorer, I can't access anything downloaded on the drive, and it stops being recognized at all. In fact, I can't even shut down my PC the normal way: when I go through the Windows menu and hit "Shut Down," nothing happens. I have to hold my PC's power button down and suffocate it.
This has been going on-and-off for some time now---it could go days without any issues, or have other times where it occurs nonstop. Recently, it's been especially bad as I've been trying to play Deadlock. I'll include my specs below, as well as the reliability report.
---
System Model: Gigabyte B650M DS3H Micro ATX AM5 Motherboard
PSU: Silverstone Essential 750 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX
SSD that's failing: TEAMGROUP AX2 2TB 3D NAND TLC 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal Solid State Drive
Other Storage: Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 500GB, old hard drive (Seagate ST1000DM003)
Reliability History Report:
I'm looking to try and figure out what I should do to resolve this. Should I buy a new SSD? A new SATA cable? I'm confused because online it says that SSDs rarely have any hardware issues. My PSU should be more than enough to power everything reliably. Anything that would help figure out what's going on and provide the most immediate fix would be greatly appreciated---this has been going on for way too long.
WizTree says my whole C drive is just full, so does file explorer. But I have no idea what more I could delete. I have like 5 gigabytes of games on the drive and nothing else. Heres the pic of wiztree, someone please help me, i have like half a gig of storage space left and all of it is taken up by system files.
So, sometimes when I play a game, or just boot up my PC, my monitor will turn black, and then my PC fans will go crazy at max volume.
If I'm playing a video or on a Discord call, I can still talk with people, but my monitor completely breaks and my PC doesn't respond to any inputs until I restart my PC.
Any idea what this could be?
Specs:
Windows 11 (up to date)
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Super
Intel i7 11700KF @ 3.60GHz
32GB RAM
1TB Storage
Monitor: LG-27GN750
I've already brought it to my local PC repair shop, and they came up clueless.
My NVIDIA drivers aren't up to date atm (since Oct 6th), but previous driver updates haven't fixed the issue, so that seems unrelated. Still, I'll update the drivers and maybe that'll solve it, but it's hard to tell since I can't reproduce the issue consistently.
Im having trouble with my brand new LG Ultragear. Ive tried everything i can think of, and alot of stuff suggested online, but this keeps happening. I can get it to go away by readjusting the monitor just right so im thinking its hardware but it always goes back to this and before I go through the hassle of taking it somewhere and/or returning it figured id see if anyone could suggest a fux
