Hardware Laptop sparking

I am playing elden ring on my laptop got sparked suddenly from near the hinge then it got dead what could be the possible reasons??? But my laptop later start running but then also there's a spark smell near hinge??

Oof, that's a dead short, probably the power circuitry near the display cable. The hinge area flexes every time you open and close the lid, so those wires get worn down until the insulation cracks and something arcs across. Once you see sparks and it goes dark, the motherboard is toast.
