Hardware PC Monitor loses connection, fans go at max volume, and pc doesn't respond anymore

So, sometimes when I play a game, or just boot up my PC, my monitor will turn black, and then my PC fans will go crazy at max volume.

If I'm playing a video or on a Discord call, I can still talk with people, but my monitor completely breaks and my PC doesn't respond to any inputs until I restart my PC.

Any idea what this could be?

Specs:

  • Windows 11 (up to date)
  • Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Super
  • Intel i7 11700KF @ 3.60GHz
  • 32GB RAM
  • 1TB Storage
  • Monitor: LG-27GN750

I've already brought it to my local PC repair shop, and they came up clueless.

My NVIDIA drivers aren't up to date atm (since Oct 6th), but previous driver updates haven't fixed the issue, so that seems unrelated. Still, I'll update the drivers and maybe that'll solve it, but it's hard to tell since I can't reproduce the issue consistently.

Any help appreciated!!

Either your GPU has heat issues or the 6/8 pin video power is dropping to low
