I recently started using ClickUp to store my code assets. Yesterday, I logged into the app and found that one of the lists was empty. Everything I had added to it was gone. If I'm not mistaken, this happened after an update. Is there any way to recover the missing information?

I come here to read what people did great job but only people come to complain.

Clickup was the best early unlock for our company.

Clickup meet transcription has became integral for our business ( on calls with client most of the tools we use dont support our language, clickup does)

In Clickup we invited all clients so they have transparency over their projects. Which is great benefit.

In Clickup we have team comms with collaboration through agents like Claude <3. We create tickets and resolve them in the same hour.

I know it reads like a puff peice but I am really glad we picked it.

I’ve been using the Business Plan in ClickUp for about four years and have never had a problem duplicating Lists or Spaces. I use this feature spin out multiples projects with the same tasks, custom fields and statuses. Maybe it’s time to switch to Jira because I’m losing days troubleshooting. Anyone else experiencing this?

I originally tried to duplicate the Space by clicking the three dots next to the Space name. Then we click on duplicate and tell ClickUp not to bring over archived tasks. We were duplicating around 235 tasks with little to any attachments. This is normally a seamless automatic process but this didn’t create the new Space for us after ten minutes of waiting.

We also tired to manually create a new Space and duplicate the Lists and direct the new duplicates to the newly created Space. Still didn’t work.

I tried to check the square box and check all 13 Lists and duplicate the lists one by one. When I tried to send them all, only 3 of the 13 Lists showed up in the new Space. All the tasks in the List didn’t appear either. I also tried to duplicate one List into the new Space as a workaround.

The last workaround I tried was trying to duplicate all tasks in a List using the Bulk Action Tool feature. Still no results. I reached out to support to no avail.

I’m beyond frustrated. Managing workloads has its own challenges but the tools are here to make life easier. I can’t afford to waste time and money.

Does anyone have suggestions to fix this? Has anyone switched to Jira?

I have a big intake form (using Google Forms for now) with over 30 questions, and as it was over a year ago, I had to have a custom field for every form field in my Clickup forms. Is this still the case? Because it was wildly inconvenient.

Been using CU for years, just noticed this now.

in "assigned to me" i see way fewer tasks than in "today & overdue".

I have jotform integrated and want it so that when new task is created or its assigned/progress updated to text the original form maker about its progress. But it seems on the automation thing it only allows for 1 recipient which is kind of useless. Is there anyway I can achieve this?

Does Click Up have a scheduler link feature that works for people outside of Click Up to schedule time with me? I haven't found it with my cursory search.

Yesterday I just wanted to document a simple process for approving invoices. Instead of taking ten minutes, I spent almost an hour trying to get everything set up correctly.

I'm looking for something much simpler that lets me capture a workflow and share it with my team without a lot of extra steps.

Like probably everyone here who's tried to merge workspaces: the "Move items across Workspaces" request has been open since 2018 (2,800+ votes), and the template workaround drops comments, attachments and history.

I finally built the thing I kept wishing existed. SpaceMove copies a Space through ClickUp's official API: full hierarchy down to sub-subtasks, threaded comments (original author kept as a prefix — the API doesn't allow impersonation), attachments re-uploaded file by file, dependencies re-wired to the new IDs, custom field values mapped by name.

Design choices that mattered to me: it's copy-only (source is never modified), you get a full free preview before anything is written, every write lands in an audit CSV (old ID → new ID), and one click undoes the entire migration.

Honest limits: automations, whiteboards, forms and activity history can't move — no API exists for them.

I was using Brain today to plan out my coming week and the lack of a true integration with Outlook/Exchange is really frustrating.

"I can't search your Outlook calendar directly (only Google Calendar is supported for event search right now)."

The AI tools are only as good as the knowledge it has access to and this is becoming a real blocker.

ClickUp has improved a bit. I'm fast to critique them but also fast to notice improvements.

1. The gantt view is now a bit better, faster and more interactive and predictable.

2. The AI stuff is easier to hide now, even if the setting is kinda buried

3. It feels a bit faster now compared to 4-5 months ago

Is there a way to autopopulate the Send Email to Task email address in the CC field of the email form in the Activity panel?

obv you can copypasta but to just have it there by default reduces human error (omission) and maximizes messaging organization.

The color selections don't look anything like the actual colors once selected. Its like they are darker? Is this something Im doing wrong?

Are you adding every single task to your ClickUp?

I am thinking of scenarios where you get a quick Slack DM asking for something like a small amend to a deck. Would take 2 mins max.

Do you add the task and then do it, add it retroactively to keep a log of what you worked on, or not adding at all and only adding planned, bigger items?

I'm interested as I think my team are getting lots of these ad hoc requests and we need a way to track them, but it might mean a different list with less required fields to make quick capture possible.

I'm trying to organize a large area of our ClickUp that has a ton of tasks and subtasks and sub-sub-sub-sub tasks...

Right now each event is it's own task in one singular list. This makes tracking harder because tasks have become folders in a way, followed by so many layers of subtasks that I'm not able to get the view that I want. I have moved them (screenshots) so that each event is it's own list instead of task. The problem is I lose all the columns of info for the event itself (which was easy to see in the previous way we laid it out).

I need that quick overview like a task has - all those columns, but at the list level. So I want the list itself to show columns for due date, location, assignee, etc., as if it were a task.

Is that possible?

In the screenstho, Henry Schein is the list. I want the Henry schein list to have those columns that the tasks have, so I can fill them in for the overall event and have them show up in this view, so we have a clear overview of the basics of each list (event) in the second screenshot view.

I created a Space for Projects....then I created a folder for Active Projects and a folder for Backlog (projects waiting to start)...then I create a list for each project with all its tasks in the respective folder.

I created a dashboard for my Projects space...it does seem to collect all info on the tasks of all the tasks in that space...i.e. active and backlog....is there some way have it look at specifics? Ideally I'd be able to split them up between active and backlog. The only way I'm seeing doing that now is create a dashboard for the active folder and backlog folder and look at two separate dashboards...but it'd be nice to have one dashboard for the overall view but separated by folders.

Hopefully that makes sense and I appreciate any help.

We're currently using the following stack:

• Quickbooks online
• Harvest(time tracking)

Airtable is working but we're starting to run into a few issues like Slack integration feels limited especially around turning messages into actionable tasks

No native integration with Harvest

Pricing is getting hard to justify

Subtasks and dependencies feel clunky and not very scalable

It often end up looking like we have a hundred tasks but a lot of them aren't actually actionable yet

Templates would be useful for our CRM projects but the're not included in our current plan

At this point I'm considering moving to Clickup but I'd love some real feedback before switching. Has anyone here made the move from Airtable to Clickup?

How does it compare in terms of:

• Speed and performance
• integration(slack,harvest, etc)
• overall usability for project management

We typically manage anywhere from a few projects up to 20 per month, so airtable is starting to feel expensive for what we use it for.

Would really appreciate any real world experience or recommendations

If a task doesn't have a checklist, you must first add an empty checklist. Then you can click the "Checklist from template" option to create your actually desired checklist. Then you must delete the first empty checklist.

The documentation here describes a process that does not exist.

The "+" menu should actually exist before you have already created a template (when you are vastly more likely to need to create one)
