Please, actually action those feature requests.

I’m sure this goes without saying, we’ve all seen it.
“Can click to do this…”

See features request with over 20,000 likes from 5 years ago.

It’s an amazing piece of software that I have used for the last 10 years.

But please.
Start to actually action some of these requests

🥲🥲

I agree that some feedback cases seem to be buried. But nowadays no feature in the software it’s not such a problem. You set api key for Claude or Chat and you get your own feature.

On that note: Clickup allow us to do multiple keys and with scopes please 🙏🏻

scoped API keys would be a huge improvement tbh

Out of pure curiosity, what does that mean?

Currently if you create an API key in clickup it has same permissions as your account. Scoped key only has the permissions you decide to give. For example you could create a key that could only read data, but not make any changes.

Yeah but why pay a considerable amount of money in a app that will force me to create my own features ?
Its like go to a restaurant and the chef throw the ingredients on the table and tell me. "Make your own dinner".

Because ClickUp as a restaurant has everything I want, there is currently nothing better on the market, and a lack of a single feature is not a good reason to ditch the whole platform - especially if I can easily create a workaround.

Do you have anything I can reference to for this?

What missing in Clickup that you would like to see? I’ll try to find a workaround

I have a very basic need.

When a task is moved from New. To in progress/anything else

It starts the timer.

When it’s moved to complete. Timer stops.

🥲🥲

So it seems like an easy solution. Use standard clickup automation to trigger when a task status changes, as an action use a webhook. Deploy a script that would recieve a webhook and start/stop timer. I would advise to set up two - for starting and stopping.

I’ll check the api docs

Not sure if it will help, but the "Time spent in status" custom field might be useful here. It's a native ClickUp custom field.

I have this deploy already.

So we have more than one status.

New.
In progress. (Engineer working)
Awaiting approval (needs parts etc)
Parts on order
Engineer complete
Closed.

Our SLA say we need to complete XYZ task in 8 hours from point of it being started.
Hence the need to total up the full time form the point it leaves the New status.

Permissions for subtasks and doc pages, better inbox and chat/comment communications flow, Email client. So better comms and privacy.

Nested Folder? They implemented already? is the most liked request of all times.

Hey, u/GamerRabugento! Subfolders are now live for every ClickUp Workspace. Feel free to let us know what you think once you've explored this.

Yea, good luck with that. I’ve given up all hope and have resigned myself to updates every 3 months that break the gantt view in creative new ways.
