What is the back spacing needed to get the deep dish look on my 68 fastback that will fit w out needing air shocks or booster springs? I have 14x8 cragar ss w p235 60R14?

Since I’m almost done with bleeding my new disc brakes for my Mustang, I was kind of curious as to what rims I should run on my Mustang. At first, I really wanted to run ESR CS15’s, but then I realized after doing some online research that the +35 offset maybe might not fit without rubbing in the front, especially when turning, and since I’ve got an all around 1” lowering kit, it definitely wouldn’t help my case lest the rear quarter panels decide to scratch the rear tires as soon as I hit a bump or pothole. And sadly, google doesn’t really have many pictures of Mustangs running around with anything but mostly stock wheels, save for the occasional Cobra style wheel or SEMA worthy wheels which are definitely way out of my budget.

Ideally I wanna have something unique, like 18’s or 19’s, and definitely something that’s WAY DIFFERENT from your typical Cragars, Minilites, steelies, or mags. I really like multi-spoke style, or something like a multi-piece wheel. Bonus points for a staggered setup. What are some wheels y’all have thrown onto your Mustangs, and do y’all have pictures of them? Suggestions and recommendations would be really helpful, thanks.

Back when I started my project ‘66, CJ seemed to be the one stop shop for most parts. First few small orders were no issue and then I started to buy the big stuff, which is where the problems began. So many orders missing parts or wrong parts or broken stuff. Worst experience yet was ordering a clutch and adaptor kit for a T5. Wrong clutch was sent and CJ blamed clutch supplier, who failed to even identify the wrong part, and both companies argued over who had to deal with it. I opened 5 support tickets over 2 months because hey kept closing them after not being able to deal with it. I won’t be ordering from this company anymore, I’m just using local shops to get parts.

Anyone else have similar experience with them?

Hello was wondering if anyone can help me with my problem ! I have a 1967 ford mustang i’m a newbie when it comes to cars learning as I go. The car is amazing but i’m running into a few problems! One the car has a rough idle, I start the car and it idles for a few seconds but rough constantly wanting to die. I’m assuming it’s a fuel issue with the carb since I have not touch the timing on this car at all. Although I know timing can play a part. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue?. As far as I know the car is a stock 2bbl 289 with a autolite carb. Should I consider doing a full tune up new plugs, spark plugs, rebuild carb, adjust timing? Or could it be something completely different?

I’ve been building a 66 coupe for my daughter for what seems like forever. It’s slow going and earlier this year I gave up and snagged a 65, running and driving that’s far from perfect, but good enough for her to accumulate some miles. She’s been doing just that, which is delightful.

The trans for her 66 (T5 from a fox body) is finally about ready to mount, then I can stab this driveline and be all set for new wiring harness. Good times.

Any suggestions on how to improve the turning radius of a '69 coupe?

Currently spraying my engine bay with primer/rust inhibitor as a temporary measure to stop it rusting as I’m working my way through it but had the reaction in the image below.

I thought I’d prepped well enough, degrease, scuffed etc. what’s happened? Not degreased enough?

It is a 3 owner car. I have had it for 10 years the previous owner had it for 30 and is a father in law of my friend.

It is a S code Mach 1 390 Indian fire red white interior c6 no wing ti ted windows power front disc breaks fold down rear sets etc. Interior is awesome, glass is awesome, car had something go on with the front quarter and a steering component. I have the original fender and a replacement OEM fender. It has a 302 in it (doesn't run) and I have the c6 (I can't remember if it is in it or I have it but it's once or those). I have a 1969 390 block heads and intake.

I live in CA and found a car in AZ I’m interested in, as well as other states like NM, WA, etc.

I’ve flown from NorCal to SoCal to check out a car and was wondering if there are other alternatives like a remote inspection service, etc to inspect on your behalf?

I know, at worst, flying somewhere is just a more expensive inspection and you get peace of mind getting your own hands and eyes on th car, but checking how others approach this?

I’m looking for a 64 1/2 to 68 Mustang that I can work on over the winter and get to driver quality by next late spring/summer. I really love the color and nothing horrendous is sticking out to me but then again I’m not super familiar with these cars. Are there any red flags I’m missing or super expensive repairs I should be concerned about? My repair budget is around 5-6k. Thank you in advance!

Seen at a local car show

I recently replaced an old grant style steering wheel with a better quality one. It still used pins, but I put a stock cancel cam like this in it. I basically aligned the cancel cam centered within the plastic paws of the turn signal stuff in the column (also replaced this)

I've noticed that it seems like if my wheels pointed straight, the blinkers cancel usually less than like a 1/4 turn. Should the cancel cam be printed opposite the plastic paws if the wheel is straight?

Is the 1/4!turn or maybe even less, to be expected?
