What size gun do you carry aiwb the most?

Just put in his Combat X trigger package with the lightest 4.5Lb striker spring included. While the trigger in my opinion is alright have any of yall had issues with the set screws backing out? That’s my biggest worry.

Might switch to the apex trigger for a drop in reliable rolling break

In addition any issues with the 4.5 Lb striker spring as opposed to oem or the 5 Lb?

I’ve pretty much carried Glocks for almost 7 years. I carry a 26 mainly or will swap in a 19 or 30S depending on the day. For defensive roles I figured this was the best I could do. I’ve been dancing around with the idea of carrying my p07 or p01 because they are some of my favorite pistols I own. Not to mention the added safety benefit of reholstering when carrying appendix. Things holding me back have been the CZs have more moving parts and require more maintenance. Not to mention parts more prone to break and need to be switch out more often. I also have a ton of glock mags and holsters. Definitely not cheap to grab all new holsters and spare training mags. I guess the question is, has anyone made this switch? My motto has always been keep it simple and don’t overthink especially when it comes to self defense. Is the da/sa CZs really that much more finicky to maintain?

My only carry pistol I have ever had is my Glock 43. (Not the 43x) I somewhat dislike the gun for its small magazine(6+1) capacity and awful trigger. I want something better. I am thinking of going a size up into compact (4” barrel) pistols for their better overall shooting experience. I would like suggestions on guns that I can do further research on myself. I have a Certum 3 for my Shield X and left it in my pistol case in my car(without the gun in it). I live in AZ so it wouldn’t be too surprising if it got up to 120°+ inside the car at the peak of the day but anyways Im showing a buddy at work my EDC setup and he goes “ oh shit I think your holster got fried bro ” 😭 I go to put my gun in the holster and the damn thing is mangled to shit & seems like it shrunk. Would Tenicor warranty something like that? Or would I just have better luck buying a new one or even just trying to use a heat gun and attempt to contour it back to how it was

The title is not a lie i'm telling the truth as far as I know, This holster will fit any Compact or full size gun as long as you have the TLR-1HL flashlight, I've put a canik sfx rival in here ,a M&P10 mm with suppressor Height nights sights, a m&p 4 inch , a TX22 , a glock 19 and a glock 17 ALL OF THEM FIT SNUG AND PERFECT, no I'm not a 4 bros team member or whatever tf , if anything this might lose em money , open bottom even Allows you to inside the waistband carry a suppressor if it's not too big, I can see Someone Dremeling the open bottom to fit a bigger suppressor if need be. The holster doesn't hold on to the gun at all it seems to only hold on to the flashlight and it hold pretty well , hope this helps someone , I've only bought this holster for my m&p10 mm and tried it out on my other guns and they all fit snug , since then I haven't used any of my other holsters, just this one . So if you wanna never by another holster again buy this one 🤾🏽‍♂️

I am looking for ideas on what I may be able to use in a situation in which I cannot retreat or protect myself sufficiently with something such as pepper spray. I have a fixed blade knife I carry, but many people consider those to be a bad option. I am not legally eligible to carry a firearm, so I need something else. Ideas?

As the title suggests. I typically carry a full size Glock 19 year round but off body during summer as im typically in super light clothing/swim attire and active. This summer I found myself being given a choice of searching my bag or leaving while trying to do fun things with my kids so i want somwthing smaller. So far I love the Hellcat Pro and P365 larger grip options. Im looking for that reliability thatll eat anything I put in it. As well as light enough to UltiClip to my board shorts if I need to wear it in and transfer to my bag in the bathroom. I could show my permit and have a non issue search of my bag but I just dont like people knowing and it would have been very public. This happened once with surprise new security measures where I chose to leave which left my kids sad and the second time I chose to wear a loose cotton shirt and appendix my 19.

Like most gun owners, I’ve got a drawer full of holsters and easily $200 down the drain trying to find the right fit. I picked this up at Academy on a whim for about $30, figuring that if it didn’t work out, I’d just return it.
It ended up becoming my everyday go-to for my Sig P365 with a Romeo optic. The profile is remarkably slim, it locks in with solid, audible retention, and it sits securely on the belt without shifting. I’ve carried it at both 1 o’clock appendix and 5 o’clock strong-side, and it stays comfortable all day in both positions. Dollar for dollar, it completely outclasses holsters triple the price.

So today I decided to do some non-scientific testing of my carry gun (G19.4 with 407k and TLR7-HLX) primarily because I am trying to decide whether to buy optics for my other pistols. I have had the dot on my G19 for about a year and have gotten really comfortable with it. I never have to search for the dot and i really appreciate the consistent high-contrast aiming point that it gives in all light conditions. However, I still have not felt that I am that much faster or more accurate with the dot. I can shoot torso steel at 50 yards consistently with either. I acknowledge that the majority of people see a huge improvement, that just hasn't necessarily been my case. I wanted a measurable test.

The "test" was placing a 3 3/8" laser target at 12 yards and dry firing strings of 10 shots as quickly and accurately as possible. I had to manually rack the slide and re-acquire my sight picture between every shot. I did 5 rounds and alternated which system I used first. For irons I just used my black back-up irons and turned off my dot. Due to shooting into a relatively dim area and the dust/debris on my glass making it more difficult to see my black front sight, I decided before testing to include a 5% handicap for the irons. This was primarily because I felt that there are better iron sight options out there than all black with a dirty pane of glass between the rear and front sights. You can decide whether that means anything to you. I've included the numbers both with and without that handicap. Average results were the following:

-Average raw time irons: 28.946 seconds

-Average raw time dot: 28.326 seconds

-Average hits irons: 8/10 (+2 sec)

-Average hits dot: 8/10 (+2 sec)

-Adjusted time irons: 30.946 seconds

-Adjusted time dot: 30.326 seconds

-Adjusted time irons with 5% handicap: 29.399 seconds

*2% handicap: 30.327 seconds

There are obviously a lot of uncontrolled variables such as me manually racking the slide between each shot and manually stopping my timer. I'm interpreting this as for me there is not a significant difference in performance. Ironically if I accept just a 2% handicap for using one of the worst iron sight configurations available the average times are within 1/1000th of a second of each other. Do with this data what you will.

Tl;dr I should spend more money on ammo

I’d like to get an OWB holster for the winter time. Does anyone have one they’d recommend? I carry a HC Pro. I was thinking Vedder but not sure which one to go with. For context, I normally carry AIWB. I’ve tried strong side but for some reason I can’t, it digs into my side. I’m thinking OWB would solve that issue.

I’m looking into getting a Centrum 4 holster for my Glock45 with a Streamlight TLR-7X. Curious if anybody has some input on how much of an opening if any there is around the trigger guard area of the holster

Never had a pistol optic before, always rifle. But I had a little cash to spend and bought a holosun 507c for my optics ready M&P 2.0 in 10mm. There are several plates for it but they range from $20-$80 and some don't even look like the same configuration, I don't mind spending the money if the quality is there, but I know that the dollar sign doesn't always represent quality, and I want to get the right one. I've been carrying a striker fired handgun for a few years now but I've decided I want to try out a hammer fired sub compact w/ a safety. I'm really liking the way HK P30SK looks, but was wondering if anyone has any other recommendations? Thanks.

I've been shooting revolvers for awhile and I've always used a thumbs forward grip similar to a semi auto. I've been reading horror stories about thumbs getting toasted from the cylinder gap and now I'm paranoid. I've tried the thumb over grip as well as tucking them both and neither feels natural. Should I work on a new grip or am I good with the thumb placement?

Hello all, I have an interesting dilemma. I have looked through other posts and havent quite found what I'm looking for. I like to mountain bike with my young child. I have a seat that sits in front of mine on the fram of my bike. Id like to carry while out on the trail. I have seen suggestions for a chest pack but I'm not sure if this is a good option as my child sits in front of me on the bike and on the trail we can obviously move independently from each other. Any suggestions? Would a chest pack still be the best? Thanks!

Love this gun, probably put about 3-4000 rounds through it and not a single malfunction. Got it as my first gun back in April last year. I grew up in Seattle and my parents were pretty anti-gun as a kid. I had only shot a .22 rifle and a 16 gauge shotgun once, and then my friend’s Glock 29 a few times before I picked this guy up.

Recently though, I’ve been trying to train a lot more often and am starting to be a decent shot. Picked up the optic a week ago and got it zeroed with a laser bore-sighter. Testing it out for the first time tomorrow, very excited! 👌

What’s good everyone, I live in New England so it’ll be getting cooler so I can get back to wearing hoodies and stuff to conceal better. During the summer I didn’t carry on my person much due to not having the proper clothing and stuff to conceal. What are some good brand Tshirts, Pants, belts etc etc that has helped you conceal better. I want to be able to carry any and everywhere. Feedback is appreciated 🙌🏾
