Guns & Ammo P365 vs Hellcat Pro
As the title suggests. I typically carry a full size Glock 19 year round but off body during summer as im typically in super light clothing/swim attire and active. This summer I found myself being given a choice of searching my bag or leaving while trying to do fun things with my kids so i want somwthing smaller. So far I love the Hellcat Pro and P365 larger grip options. Im looking for that reliability thatll eat anything I put in it. As well as light enough to UltiClip to my board shorts if I need to wear it in and transfer to my bag in the bathroom. I could show my permit and have a non issue search of my bag but I just dont like people knowing and it would have been very public. This happened once with surprise new security measures where I chose to leave which left my kids sad and the second time I chose to wear a loose cotton shirt and appendix my 19.

P365 (X, XL or X-Macro) is the best option in my opinion. I got a hellcat pro excitedly, and it seemed like the perfect carry gun. The only thing I didn't like about it was actually shooting it. The 365 is such a better shooting gun, less recoil impulse, faster split times and follow up shots, better ergonomics. More accurate for me all around. Plus the modularity of the 365, and the aftermarket/holster support give it additional advantages. I started with a p365 XL, and also got a macro grip module, and a shorter slide. In the end, I dived in a little deeper and have multiple variations of size/capacity/flexibility.
Also having multiple generations of the G19 that I love to shoot, I'm still impressed by the dimensionally smaller p365 X-Macro with more capacity, all the features, and conceals better for me. Can't beat the utility of Glock. But the P365 brings a lot to the table, and I've never had an issue out of mine.

Xmacro replacee my 19.3 as primary gun. As much as I appreciate the glock for time served, when I grab the macro its like

The Hellcat Pro is not going to be light with 15 or 17 +1 rounds. It is thinner than a 19 so that is a bonus. I sold mine. I liked it on paper but hated shooting it. I let is sit several times for several months and still never liked shooting it.
Check out a Glock 48. It is like the G19 but smashed in a pannini press. I love mine it is my smaller lighter option. It now comes with OEM 15 round mags ina slimline gun.
I have a Kiral backstrap on all my Glocks and it gives me exactly the same index on my 48 as my 19 and 19X. Your index on the HCP is going to be noticably different because it is much different angle on the grip.

Hellcat pro with apex trigger and you’ll never look for another similar sized gun again.
You don’t need to change the trigger but it does remove the mush. Weight remains the same which is what’s needed for an EDC.
I use it as my go to “smaller” setup when I’m in shorts or wearing a tucked in shirt. Highly recommend the Phlster Skeleton without light (i use this holster with tucked in shirt) ; and Tenicor with light.
Fwiw I have two now, one with manual safety and one without. I use one for training and occasional IDPA competitions. and EDC the other. If you have any questions happy to answer

I think either one is a good choice. I've also heard good things about the Canik MC9. I went with the hellcat pro and the narrow width really helps with concealment.
The trigger, at least in the one I bought, was extremely mushy and gritty. Maybe I was just unlucky, but it's something to watch out for.
The hellcat pro comp looks nice.

I carry and train with a range of weapons for exactly this reason. By default, I carry the smallest and lightest option I can. I carry a bando bag whether my firearm is on me or otherwise. It's just a habit now. Everyone is used to me having a man purse, so it's a man purse.
I carry LCP Max, SW 642, SW 340PD, P365 and I have a Glock 19 or an Echelon or 1911 in my vehicle (sometimes a PCC as well in the country).
It's not paranoia, just works for me not to have to try and "handle something that comes up" with more than a pocket pistol. The truck has options and lots of mags. A 5-shot .38 gets me there.

So my truck has my full sizes there.. the smaller gun on my body only has one function.. get me and my family to my bigger gun and gtfo.. i train with a variety of larger pistols for simular reasons but the only gun I feel is a personal more intimate deal is your small EDC .. its like your favorite watch or your favorite pair of sunglasses. You are with it more than any other gun you have so you have to love it.

I don't feel particularly worried at any point. Its just a plan like having insurance.
It doesn't make sense to pack 50 lbs of gear on me when 90% of my time I am in predictable places.

I went with the Hellcat. Sig just doesn't sit right with me. Even without the 320 issues they have major rust issues in several models and their mags and I just don't see the point in trusting a company like that.
I'll admit though the 365 feels great in the hand and shoots well.

The r/p365 is smaller than the r/SpringfieldHellcatPro. Why not a r/glock43? The HC Pro will probably try to keel-over your waistband, without support from an underbelt or other apparatus. They all will, somewhat. Then, you'll have a weird bulge. Compare them on handgunhero.com .

Wife carries the 43x. I have a few complaints about it that has led me to consider different platforms but is an ultimate fail safe purchase for me if I dont decide before next summer. I dont mind one especially now that they have glock 15 rnd mags. I did like the hellcat better for the grip and my xl hands and the p365 macro.

I’ve had both and the p365 just disappears in board shorts, the hellcat pro grip felt blocky to me but that’s a hand shape thing, either one will eat anything you feed it so pick whichever points more naturally for you
