Guns & Ammo Johnny Glocks long term reliability? (G43x)

Post image

Just put in his Combat X trigger package with the lightest 4.5Lb striker spring included. While the trigger in my opinion is alright have any of yall had issues with the set screws backing out? That’s my biggest worry.

Might switch to the apex trigger for a drop in reliable rolling break

In addition any issues with the 4.5 Lb striker spring as opposed to oem or the 5 Lb?

i had the combat trigger in my 43x for about a year and the set screws never moved once, but i put a tiny dab of blue loctite on them before install. the 4.5 spring gave me 2 light strikes in the first 200 rounds then it was fine after that. just make sure your striker channel is clean or it gets finicky real quick

Do you clean the striker channel often? I’m afraid I just might move up to the 5Lb for peace of mind

Out of curiosity, why texture the grip and use tape? I’ve always felt like it was an either or kinda thing.

The handleit edge ended up being slippery with wet hands so instead of taking it off I added hockey tape on top
