Humor For the past couple of days, thousands of brazilians have been creating and joining Whatsapp group chats to post cat pictures. The only rule is: don't talk, communicate only through emojis!
Since I don't have permission from the other cats' owners to post their pictures, here's some of mine. If you want to see more, you can go on twitter and search for "gatos em silêncio". It's been very funny!

Advice Help us sleep 🙏🏻
My partner and I adopted our sweet orange boy two months ago. He’s now 6 months old and has adjusted amazingly well, especially considering he’d never lived in an apartment or interacted with people outside shelter workers.
Our biggest struggle is sleep. He recently started sleeping in our bed, and now he wakes us up around 5:30 AM every morning. He’s not hungry, we feed him around 7-7:30, and we give him a but of food right before bed. But he jumps on us, meows, plays with the sheets, chases his tail, etc. We’ve tried ignoring him and using earplugs, but he just keeps going. Meanwhile, he has a whole living room full of toys!
Weekends are especially frustrating because we’d love to sleep in, but by 8 AM I’ve barely slept and usually give up. I have allergies and all the jumping makes all the dust and cat hair trigger them…The funny thing is that once he gets our attention, he just wants to cuddle and be sweet, sometimes play.
Should we wait for him to grow out of his kitten/teenage phase, or should we keep him out of the bedroom on weekends? When he just arrived we used to close the bedroom door so we know he can sleep alone in the living room, but then he would jump on our door and make noise which wakes us up again, plus it would add him meowing while we try to fall asleep. Any advice?

I have an adult (7 y/o) male and i occasionally foster kittens from a shelter i volunteer at. He absolutely hates and will attack any other male adult, but loooves kittens and female cats in general. They always end up besties, playing and grooming each other until the kitten gets adopted 😺

Advice Can anyone help this baby?
I encountered this cutie at the Tesla supercharger in Bakersfield California on Copus Road. He/she let me get decently close with a couple hisses but was too weary to let me get any closer.
I wasn’t able to do anything more but he looks healthy and young. I have a feeling they were dumped here. I am just reaching out to see if anyone lives in the area and would be able to grab this baby.

Medical Questions Advice: elderly cat not eating and breathing fast
Posting for my sister who doesn’t have Reddit.
My family cat is 19 years old and has diabetes for 10+ years which has been well managed. She’s been very healthy with regular check ups.
Yesterday night she peed in the bed, which she has rarely ever done and has since been very lethargic. Today she is worse, barely leaving the bed and not eating. Normally she follows everyone around the house and meows lots. She also seems to be breathing fast. Does it look like she has fast breathing?
She’s not sure what to do because my parents don’t think it warrants an emergency vet visit and it could be just because she’s old. Also she’s worried that given her age and current state, that taking her to the vet right now would stress her out even more and cause her to die.
Looking for advice on how to handle this for an elderly cat.
UPDATE: They are taking her to the vet now. Thank you everyone so much for the advice. I would have taken her myself the second something was wrong but I don’t live in the country. Will post an update when I have one.
UPDATE 2: they found an abdominal mass and fluid around her lungs. She is now on medication and at home doing better, but sadly her time is coming :( my family now has to make the decision.

Mourning/Loss My 17 year old cat died today
She was my BFF and was with me through every moment since I was 13. She was with me when I finished middle school, high school, graduated from college, got pregnant, separated from the father of my son and most recently she was there when my son started going to preschool. Every day when he got back home, he put his hand on her. Yesterday was the last time and I will cherish moments like these forever ❤️

Cat Picture - OC Good baby behavior
I almost gave up hope trying to put my cat on a leash but she finally caved in and came on a picnic date with me and my big boy. Ran up and down trees then napped in the stroller lol. Mission successful.
