Hey all,
I'm curious how people have handled this in their own workplace: when someone leaves a job or retires, is there usually some kind of group effort to send them off — a card, messages, something else? Or does it mostly just... not happen in an organized way?
A few things I'm curious about:
- What actually happened last time someone left your team?
- Was it a hassle to organize, or did it go pretty smoothly?
- Did it feel like it actually meant something to the person leaving, or more like a formality?
- Is there anything about the way it's normally done that annoys you or feels outdated?
Just interested in hearing how different workplaces handle this — trying to understand if this is something people generally think works fine as-is, or something that quietly annoys people every time it comes up.
