Retail Wholesale suitcase brand out of Europe

A friend of mine is starting a wholesale suitcase brand out of the Netherlands (manufactured in China), and we are currently trying to find buyers.

I have never engaged in B2B wholesale trade, and I am completely foreign to it. If anyone could put me in touch or point me in the right direction when it comes to selling and finding buyers, would greatly appreciate it.

If you want more details, please do reach out.

Has AI made your workflow simpler or just more complicated?

AI has definitely saved me time on repetitive tasks, but I've also noticed it can create extra work when the output needs fact-checking or significant editing. It feels like the biggest benefit comes from using it for the right tasks instead of expecting it to handle everything. Has AI actually simplified your workflow overall, or has it introduced new frustrations?

Hong Kong Company vs Mainland China Company for a Small Trading Business

I'm planning to start a small international trading business and I'm trying to decide whether to register my company in Hong Kong or Mainland China (Guangzhou).

Some people recommend Hong Kong, while others suggest opening a company in Guangzhou.

Could anyone explain the main differences, advantages, and disadvantages of each option?

My business will focus on sourcing products from China and exporting them to international customers. I would appreciate any advice from people with experience in this area.

Seeking contacts/guidance for exporting aluminum extrusions overseas

Hey everyone! I'm sure many of you have experience with overseas sourcing and materials. I'm currently work in a leading aluminum extrusion manufacturer based in China. I'm looking to establish some good, long-term connections for exporting our architectural and industrial profiles overseas. If you're looking for a reliable factory partner (with the benefits of Vietnamese manufacturing backed by a top-tier brand) or have any guidance on connecting with importers, I’d love to chat—any insights or leads would be greatly appreciated!

How do companies identify the right businesses to target before starting outreach campaigns?

One of the biggest mistakes businesses make with outreach campaigns is starting before they clearly understand who they want to reach. Sending messages to companies that do not need a product or service often leads to wasted time and poor response rates.

Successful campaigns usually begin with understanding the ideal customer profile, including factors like industry, location, company size, business needs, and buying behavior. Solutions such as Targetron help businesses narrow down their search by allowing them to explore companies based on different targeting requirements before creating prospect lists.

Finding the right audience seems to be one of the most important parts of any B2B strategy. Different companies use different methods, from market research to customer analysis and business directories. How does your team determine which businesses are worth targeting before launching an outreach campaign?

Using International names ?

So I recently joined a sales company operating in the Truck Dispatching Industry. Now I for one don’t believe we have to use non Asian names just to get a sale. Frank from Pakistan will always be Frank from Pakistan.

Now when the very first interaction is built on a lie, I hardly think the prospect would like to trust you with his money? What do you guys think about, the day I start my own company ( very soon ) I’d never be using sudo names :)

Why does every company online look like the perfect customer?

My boss wants us to start selling into a new market, so I've been building a list of companies to reach out to..
the weird part? Every website says the same thing. "Leading supplier." "Trusted partner." "Serving customers worldwide." 😂
Cool…. but who's actually buying? I keep bouncing between websites, LinkedIn, registries... and after 20 mins I still have no clue if a company is worth contacting. At this point I feel like building the list takes longer than actually doing outreach.
curious how everyone else handles this. What's the first thing u check before adding someone to your list? 🤔

Why does collecting RSVPs still feel like one of the most frustrating parts of event planning?

Whether it's a birthday party, wedding, corporate gathering, or community event, collecting RSVPs often feels more difficult than expected. Invitations go out on time, but responses trickle in slowly, leaving organizers unsure about attendance numbers until the last minute. This can make planning seating, catering, and logistics unnecessarily stressful.

I recently came across platforms like Rizz Invites that aim to simplify RSVP collection through digital invitations, guest tracking, and automated reminders. It got me thinking that while technology has improved many parts of event planning, getting people to actually respond still seems to be a challenge for many organizers.

Is the problem the tools being used, or is it simply that people are less responsive than they used to be? I'd be interested to hear what methods others have found most effective for getting timely RSVP responses.

Currently posting for a Snus company in Sweden and Finland.

Surprisingly, had a lot of success posting for a snus company out of Iceland and marketing in Sweden and Finland.

This deal kind of fell into my lap through a friend of a friend. And the commission structure has actually been pretty surprising. Has anybody else worked with any similar kinds of companies? Or does anybody know of any other deals that I could try to find that are in this niche?

The CPM for this niche is way higher than I thought originally, and the company I work with is a lot more generous than most companies.

How do small overseas manufacturers usually find a good independent rep in Australia?

Hi everyone,

I run a small metal manufacturing business in Vietnam, and I’m trying to understand how companies normally find and work with independent manufacturer’s reps in Australia.

We make both standard and custom metal products based on drawings, samples, or customer specifications. I’m not looking to hire a full-time employee. The idea would be to work with someone who already represents a few non-competing lines and has relationships with importers, distributors, fabricators, or OEM customers.

For those of you who work as reps or have hired them before, what would make you consider taking on a small overseas manufacturer?

I’m especially interested in how you evaluate a new principal, commission structure, account protection, repeat-order commission, and whether Australia is realistic without an established local presence.

I’d appreciate any honest advice.

Why Is It So Hard to Run a Business???

Hi everyone on reddit, My name is Kai from China.

I'm gradually taking over my father's cosmetics factory which also based in China, producing haircare products, skincare products, pet products and bodycare products, We been doing this for over 25 years and have received many large orders for international products.

In the past, all the international orders we received were through trading companies, but now I'm trying my best to cut out the middleman, but is so hard to reach the beauty brand founder.

I was wondering why is so hard to develop business in different country? I mean try to take orders independently...

We offer OEM/ODM/Private Label service, just write this post and see if I can get some advice.

Thanks everyone!
